I think his issue is that seirra's weren't available for several weeks (a month?) after the Baby Jet... so the implication would be that it should be first come/first served.
i understand his assumption but its not correct.. 1. sierras may not have been on the web shop but were available to buy the same time as baby jets. the professional customers would've ordered the sierras and not the baby jets. 2. people who ordered multiple baby jets were (i believe) in some cases allowed to switch their orders into sierras... and retain their place in the line. bear in mind.. sierras are just a denser form of baby jet. containing the same identical hardware, just packaged differently. actually, containing less hardware as sierras do not contain a controller and require use of an external pc controller.

Speaking of controllers... I don't see any raspberry Pi's in the posted pictures. Can anyone see the cgminer controller?

Gateway... I am pretty sure everyone understands that you are an innocent bystandier in the fubar that has been Hashfast Batch1. To be honest, I am sure the hardware is going to be great... it is just that the delivery date and pricing were not balanced. At this point... BTC purchasers will be lucky to get back 25% of their invested bitcoins, and Hashfast doesn't seem the least bit contrite about it. All we have gotten from them is what appears to be lies up to the initial shipping date and then a defensive crouch, with no offers in any way of addressing the situation. If you have additional information and insight that you can share... please do.

Hashfast what is going on?
1. You show us on Dec 8th you were assembling boards. 2. You show us that you are mining on the live network around Dec 20th.
We are now to assume that you are hashing with our equipment. Unfortunately your extremely poor communication skills and performance so far will leave us to assume the worst.
We have internal test systems. A few of them, like the Baby Jet in our office that is part of the Eligius mining pool, are doing actual mining. This is to do a full, end to end, system test. None of these test systems will be shipped to our customers. We will not use customer systems for our own purposes, especially mining. Best, -HashFast Community Liaison

Best, -HashFast Community Liaison That's great but it took the owner of eligius to let us know. You are a day late and we are dollar(s) short. Next time don't tell us you are going to ship on the (21st) then go completely silent. Thousands of dollars might not be a lot to you but it is to me, and i will find out where my money and equipment is.

Hashfast_CL -
It looks like the "test" systems are short of the "400 Gigahash/s at nominal clock" speed advertised by HF (assuming we are looking at a 2-module system). Is there any plan to supplement the hashrate on these initial machines to get up to the advertised 400GH?

where do you have the stats to know that they're short? from eligius's stats page?

Anyone get a tracking number yet?
Yes: I have my tracking number, but not from HashFast (FedEx called me to confirm some details on the shipment). I presume this means they've begun shipping, even if they haven't given out the tracking numbers yet...

Correct. The youtube video of the machine mining was showing more than 1000 was because they had multiple boards in there. (If you are following our Eligius account, you will notice an average that is more than 1,000 GH/s. Please know that this is the aggregate of two internal test Baby Jets. The good news is we seem to get a solid 500 GH/s of mining performance.)
Since then the aggregate speed has dropped from around 900GH/s to about 600GH/s. The video showed that CGMiner was reporting 425GH/s.

Strange, i remembered that they said they connected a single BJ to their mining account. I'm surprised.
