(it's a good repost)

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:
Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)
Hashfast.org - Wiki for screwed customers
The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Well looks like people will get a extra 5% for a refund not 500% . HF is asking for another 30 days to ship Oct 2013 Jets.

If I had to guess... their time booked at Ciarra has expired for Batch1 and they won't get access again until the end of January... ergo 30 days.

This is of course speculation, as I have no information other than what they write.
Hopefully they realize how much they have screwed up and when the assembly line re-opens, they just ship B1 with MPP (since it will be past the 90days from Oct 30th).

If another 30 days are needed and batch#1 customers are seriously screwed, i would propose that HF offers some kind of compensation.

This compensation doesnt have to be hurried. Instead they could offer us for example units of their (probably happening) second generation units for free including shipping. Similar to whats Cointerra doing at the moment. They are giving free march Terraminer to their screwed Dec customers. Thats not second generation but it shows how such a situation could be handled between Hashfast and their customers in a satisfying way for both sides.

It seems clear to me that they are way over their heads and don't know what the heck they are doing.

Why do you think a 2nd generation would be any better?
If I thought they had a chance in hell of succeeding, I would demand that my guaranteed 60%+ loss B1 order be cancelled and all the BTC be applied to their next generation.  But... I don't have any confidence in them succeeding there when they failed so clearly and miserably with this generation.

No... I am afraid the best option other than legal is to get the machines as quickly as possible and dig out of the hole as much as possible. Hard lessons... engineering doesn't overcome bad management and businessmen hellbent on not ensuring value for their customers.

you dont have to focus on the second generation so much

lets assume they will get over their current problems with their chips etc. why there should be no possibility to order another batch of chips and to bring on an additional MPP??

lets make it 3 x MPP sent to us in may/june. i think that could be very well some solution to this situation.

Here's the scammer lawyer who wrote that outrageous "refund policy" document:
LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/in/aettinger
His site: http://scounsel.com/adam-t-ettinger/
Maybe you want to shoot him a message.

On the other issue, what was the name of the HashFast parent company, where HF initialy had their office and who designed the chip? Maybe we should try notifying them and the public the we are aware they are also engaged in a scam? I don't think they would like bringing public attention to them that way, and may reveal some info about things that happened?

You are already screwed if IceDrill gets all their units before customers: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=269216.msg4254717#msg4254717

They outsourced the design to Uniquify.

They outsourced the design to Uniquify.

So Uniquify was not a parent company? Than why they initially gave HF office space to begin their operations?

why? icedrills TH/s wont matter one piece of shit at this stage of the network power. thats basically not more than 2-3% more diff.

also to be exact Icedrill has been shipped ONE unit so far. no reason to freak out.

I guess that HF paid them for that very reason. And I have never know the name of anyone else involved in the development apart from Simon...

Only if signed by everyone from HF, written from my lawyer and notarised in front of God.

what is the address to send them a registered letter from outside of US? thank you!

The best choice for legal purposes is always to use the company registered address to send notification letters. Do not forgot to authenticate your signature and date in the letter:

By the way, is anyone interested to obtain an Experian credit report of HASHFAST TECHNOLOGIES LLC? I could got one, but it have a cost. A credit report would be good to anyone verify what is the financial situation of the company. You could all participate with a little bit and pool the amount to pay for the report, which in BTC would cost more or 0.04 BTC at the moment.

Ideal address if you're seeking a short term lease: http://www.loopnet.com/Listing/17191132/649-Mission-Street-5th-Floor-San-Francisco-CA/

Sigh.  What a fucking mess. Thanks a lot, assholes @ Hashfast.  This is the kind of thing that will encourage me to follow your careers, if you have any left, and be sure to alert those around you of your past.

Is there anybody who is really a hardass who is located in the Bay Area?

Taco, I love you, but not a Taco kind of person.  A hardass kind of person who will not be flimflammed with bullshit explanations.

Somebody who could conduct a fact finding mission by appearing at their office?

I'm by no means defending them but the pricing is based on the general popularity of the words used.. Based on words they are placing in they are well under $250 per day if not quite a bit lower..

January 1st 2014 and nothing. Their updated shipping post tells us nothing.

I have a feeling they're going to fuck us over again with upgrades we paid and MPP.

"The ship date has come later than we thought it would, and it’s not yet at full volume"

"But have no fear — we will be right back in early January."

Has anyone at all gotten a tracking number?

Sure, "HashFast" might be worth 250$ a day. I was talking about "Bitcoin Miner" and such.

Hashfast_CL -

It looks like the "test" systems are short of the "400 Gigahash/s at nominal clock" speed advertised by HF (assuming we are looking at a 2-module system).  Is there any plan to supplement the hashrate on these initial machines to get up to the advertised 400GH?

Hi,

Our demo/test units' reported hash rate on Eligius will bounce around for various reasons and those numbers should obviously not be taken as definitive or reflective of delivered units.

Your Baby Jet will generate at least 400 Gigahash/sec, and possibly much more with overclocking.

Best,

HashFast Community Liaison

With the chip only having a 10 day warranty that might not be a good idea.
