Would anyone be interested in starting a "Church of Development". Where "god" is "the future", and we worship by making it better. Basically just a developmental coin charity that religiously works towards the future.

I am a certified minister and I will work to get non-profit status in my state, but here is the base for the organization, I already have 200 members:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=213405.0

If anyone wants to get married or exercise demons, I can legally do the ceremony Smiley

Ha! Universal Life Church eh? Me too, since 2002. I've done 4 weddings, not much else. Offering absolution via BTC, I had that idea a few months back but never panned it out.

Willing to exercise your demons for any amount, addresses in sig are fine--send coins and consider yourself absolved.

Would you be down to form a ministry together? Online at first. We could do some recruiting in the ULC forums also Smiley Not much back an forth discussion there, so if we ha a thread we communicated on, it would basically automatically become one of the most popular.

Thanks for the logo, you'll get 2/5 of a share in round 24. There are three 2/5 of a share awards remaining.

To all artists,

To enter a logo, please post your favourite image separately, so I can load it to the devcoin gallery, then I'll award the bounty.

Also, I suggest that the logo vote be taken after we have fifteen logos, or July 1, whichever comes first, any objections?

Unthinkingbit, I temporarily enabled them to upload their own logos to expedite things just fyi. And depending on if it gets abused I may leave it enabled.

Logo
I have a go.
I have noticed mainly curved lines, soft sketch.
What if the logo would be more... sharped.
Is it a bad idea?

At the moment, this is my idea.

Any real devs willing to take this on and try to resolve the issue? Or is this a speculators thread? Wink

I spent some time in April trying to improve the new user startup experience.   I put the builds up the start of this month, and they have had a few hundred downloads, and I have not had any issues reported yet.      https://www.box.com/s/1mqfk22gyqq97ytdmifi

Looks good, any reason this isn't promoted to the main Devcoin.org site? Is the owner of the site unresponsive?

Actually, yes I might be up for doing something like that--hit me up with a PM and we'll discuss it Cheesy

@Vlad keep a backup of your wallet.dat file on 2 or 3 usb sticks. And ensure you wallet is encrypted and you know or have written down the key to unlock.

I had It encrypted.

How do you back up your wallet on a usb stick?  I wanted to do that but I don't know which files to copy - it seems like the wallet has dozens of small files and I don't recognize them all.  That's why I decided to just move my entire user file which wasn't possible.  If I miss just one I'll mess things up again.  And I know, copy don't ever cut.  I didn't know cut was a delete function.

Oh thank you, I will give that another look, didnt realize one was a GUI!

I saw you looking for ixcoin earlier as well, did you find that and my namecoin builds yet?

I'm looking for an ixcoin wallet but so far I've only found ones that work on 32 bit computers.  nothing that works well on 64bit.  If you know of one I'd greatly appreciate it.  TIA

For the logo, Dexter gets 2/5 of a share, there are now two 2/5 of a share awards:

Dexter, could you please try a version without the right bar? That would turn it into a sharp D, as well as a V.

I'm sending 30k your way. Not a ton, but hopefully enough to make this situation less painful. Cheers.
[/quote]

I see it.  Thanks.  And somebody else sent 100,000 devcoins.  I've got 157,000 now.  That's 157,000 more than I expected to ever recover.  Thanks to everyone who pitched in.  I hope to be able to return the favor one day to someone who's unlucky.  If I had just earned that million coins it wouldn't hurt so badly but I paid .00041 for them and when you spend actual real money then it hurts a bit more.  Thanks again.
