I got disconnected from pit.deeptbit.net as well, failover didn't kick in. I restarted cgminer and pit.deeptbit.net is now connected and hashing.

We are trying to set up a new configuration, the problem is not completely solved yet.
UPDATE: Work in progress, you may see some SSL Certificate warnings in your browser.

Indeed. In Firefox 17: "SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length. (Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)"

This DDOS attack is brutal. My Miners are spending about 30% of their time trying to connect. I can hear the fans speed up then slow down, speed up then slow down again. Been like this all day.
Side Question. if a fan set to 100% speeds up after a miner disconnects is that a sign of a power shortage? Why would a fan already set to 100% speed up in such a way?

Really a DDoS attack? I think everyone using BTC should know when to pull the plug in regards to their safety. It's like an internet war...ridiculous. We need better security.

Just to let you know that, as for now, deepbit.net and pit.deepbit.net can be resolved only using TCP, not UDP. Is there a reason for that?

At this point I can't even resolve deepbit.net ?? Miners seem to be having intermittent connections to pit.deepbit.net ..

It just isn't as popular, so it doesn't have such a big bulls eye on it. And, just fyi, DDOS attacks don't have to be bandwidth attacks. M

Yes, there are some problems caused by our hosting provider, I'm working to settle it now. But this should affect not all of our users.

Ouch 9hr block/3hr average...
I have to say with the DDOS and the reward drop, this is the first time I've been unprofitable in a 24hour period, and I've been mining for over a year. Figure I only made back about 50% of my power costs today and my city is only $0.058 per KWH!
Sad to see GPU mining really on life support...
Great job Tycho/Deepbit on the run! I hope those ASICs get to this pool first!

At this moment the connectivity should be normal for most clients. The long average round length was caused by the lower total hashrate during DDoS and bad luck too.
Anything caused by bad luck should be balanced out by good luck over time.
As for the GPU mining, it was expected to be not very profitable after the reward drop, sorry. But the USD/BTC rate is a bit higher now, sadly not twice as before :)

I am having no connectivity issues through my farm with verizon DSL but my farm at home that uses ATT DSL is still on the backup pool. I will try restarting cgminers and see if they will see pit.deepbit.net. Maybe I will change the DNS's as well and see if that helps.
