I'm a noob first of all, so pardon me if what I use to describe this aren't all the way correct. I've registered on deepbit.net already due to a recommendations by someone on a forum I've asked about BitCoin mining and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get set up for DeepBit with GUIMiner.

As mentioned, I'm using GUIMiner and I cannot find what I'm supposed to put in GUIMiner for: Server, Host, Port, Username, and Password.

Any extra flags that would be worthwhile would also be a help, I'm running 2x 5870's. I already have (-v -w 128 -f 1) is this okay?

Can someone break it down Barney style for me please? (Maybe it would be a good idea to put a noob guide on the website?)
I think that GUIminer lets you just choose deepbit as your pool and fill those fields automatically.
If it can't, then host is pit.deepbit.net, port is 8332, username is your username and password is your password (actually I recommend creating a new worker at your account page to avoid using same password for mining and website).

Yeah, Within the GUIminer dropdown boxes for "server" Just pick deepbit

Ah, didn't even check that. Do I use my username and password for deepbit in the email and password slots? Or do I use my wallet address for my username and just make up a password?

If you don't create any new workers then your e-mail is your login and your deepbit password is your mining password.

I would just like to stress what was said earlier:  MAKE A NEW WORKER WITH A DIFFERENT PASSWORD!  Otherwise you're sending your login and password in plaintext.  Nobody should ever be using a worker with a password even resembling their actual account password.

Well just about seven hours later and the cold storage seems to be still keeping them cool...
By looking at the transactions list you can see that more than 200 BTC were paid just in last hour.
I sent more, hope next autopayment will resolve this queue.

the auto-payment has not worked for me since the start of November I see from looking at my history to see when I started doing my twice a day withdraws I do having discovered it not working anymore.
Autopayment is triggered after 24 hours since last payment. So if you requested manual payments twice a day it never happened.

1. Check the number of blocks in your client.
2. Look at your transaction hash in the payments table on deepbit site. By clicking on a timestamp you will get a link to blockexplorer.
If the TX is really unconfirmed then BBE will say that there is no such transaction. In this case take TX hash from this link and look for it at the http://bitcoincharts.com/bitcoin/ (for example - http://bitcoincharts.com/bitcoin/#1dbe5cb9959f8f794636177a7059e7d4c3490418ea97323352f4e60044f45be6 )
It's a network queue for transactions waiting to be confirmed.
You will either see it there or not. If you don't see it on blockexplorer AND bitcoincharts then you may need to contact me, use e-mail or PM to send me your login name (it's sometimes happens with long chains of unconfirmed TXes)

Do you know that there is a max of three "instant" payouts every 24/hr?

My apologies if this has been brought up before...

Is it a problem that the word "payments" is displayed at the very top of the deepbit.net main page?

I noticed the word 'payments' was changed to 'rewards'  on my account page.  Why not at the top?

Some words were changed in the process of working on multilanguage support, this may be fixed soon. Don't worry, it doesn't affects anything.
Actually I think that the word "Payments" in the top menu is correct since it points to a payments log page.
May be I need to fix the account page instead.

I just had a balance of 0.02XXXXXX BTC, paid out and now have a balance of exactly 0 BTC. My client confirms that two bitcents are on their way from deepbit, but the rest just vanished...
(My deepbit nick is the same as here.)

I see your current balance as 0.00003623 BTC (website value can be delayed).
Was your balance 0.02003623 BTC or not ?
