I seems that my proposal post finally turned me to "legendary" after all those years

Any news ?
Just the usual : * Strong fundamentals * Strong community * Well-defined roadmap to achieve on-chain scaling (which btw upscales Dash network to 2mb blocks by November 2017) Oh, and Apple has recently officially approved Dash as cryptocurrency, which means users can now enjoy officially supported Dash wallets on their iPhone.

Dash Decentralized Governance Blockchain Budget System Review The Decentralized Governance Blockchain Budget (DGBB) is really Dash’s superpower. It provides a way for the network stakeholders to manage and fund the direction of the project. The following introduction comes from the official Dash wiki.

Roger Ver on What’s Next for Him and Bitcoin Early Bitcoin investor Roger Ver was known for his involvement in the first startups in the space. Later, he became a pivotal figure in the great scaling debate, a hero to one side and a supervillain to the other. I sat down with Ver to discuss his future plans now that a scaling agreement has been reached, as well as the key reasons he got into, and remains active in, Bitcoin.

Dash Over $200, Back in Top 5Dash has surged back over the $200 mark, once again joining the top five rankings. After a solid week of positive news, Dash rose from about $190 per coin to a present value of $212, taking its market cap from just over $1.4 billion to about $1.6 billion. In so doing, Dash barely edged out its two closest market cap competitors, NEM and Ethereum Classic, by narrow margins. Dash is now very close to its all-time high of $223 less than a month ago. https://www.dashforcenews.com/dash-200-back-top-5/

What would be the purpose of Dash now that Bitcoin would adopt soon instant transactions and improve its privacy?

There is nothing soon about it, its too centralized and the Bitcoin community itself is too torn up about it. Lets also not forget Dash has much more going for it then just instant transactions and privacy, there are important core-elements in Dash that are missing in Bitcoin. I'm talking about Dash decentralized governance and budget system, its incentivized masternode network, the ASIC miners that can be kept in check so Dash wont turn centralized in the future and lets not forget Dash Evolution, which will bring user-friendly wallets and transaction-scalebility to a new level.

What would be the purpose of Dash now that Bitcoin would adopt soon instant transactions and improve its privacy? I think your talking about segwit and all the features it will bring ? segwit itself will not deliver any of these feature, future development will have to take place and than you will have to trust 3th party's to provide you with those services. For optimal use the company's and or people your doing transactions with most likely will have to trust the same or other 3th party's as well ( I for one am not going to be one of them), aka it's only a solution if wish to offer up the decentralized trust-less part of using bitcoin. Also it will take quite some time for any of this will be setup, and even than it's not sure if everything will pan out. That being said the segwit2x is good for business, at least the 2mb part (as I personally only accept non-segwit transaction, because I want my transactions to be fully registered on the blockchain).

Hmm... let's see... How about an infrastructure that doesn't run on altruism with the ability to scale to 4000 tps with dedicated remunerated hardware? But granted: That's easy to overlook. lol

Actually that's a good point. If I stick a photo of a cat to my solar calculator from high school, I can get rid of my useless computer!

Largest Bitcoin Mixer Goes Down, Recommends Users Switch to Dash Bitmixer.io, the largest mixing service for Bitcoin, has shut down, recommending its users use Dash or Zerocoin instead.
Mixing services, sometimes known as coinjoin or tumblers, take a user’s balance, mix the inputs with those of coins with those of other users, and send the now-mixed balance to its final destination. The result is that the transaction will appear to have come from several different origins, obscuring which user or set of addresses originated the transaction, thus preserving privacy and anonymity. Bitmixer was the largest of these services for Bitcoin. After announcing the shutdown in a Bitcointalk thread, the owner suggested users switch to an innately more private coin such as Dash:

Dash Force China Update – Videos, Events, Bobby Lee & More Yesterday I had the pleasure to sit down with Michael and record our first monthly International report update on Dash Force China.
In the video interview we break down the project in to the following questions to help both those already familiar with the project but also new comers as well.
1. For those new to the channel can you give a quick recap of what Dash Force China is? 2. What was the original plan of action? 3. What did you learn from the first month test run? Did you encounter any problems? 4. Has the plan of action changed and can you tell us why? 5. Where can people see the Dash Force China content? 6. Bobby Lee BTCC Shanghai Interview for BoxMining Channel (Not Dash Force China). 7. 10th September Beijing China, BitKan Blockchain International Summit.

Greg Maxwell Is Wrong on “Altcoins,” From Several Different AnglesBitcoin Core developer and Blockstream CTO is no friend of cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin, famously calling Dash “snake oil.” However, he took his hating to a whole new level during a recent talk on side chains. Seemingly out of the blue, he brings up “altcoins,” or cryptocurrencies that are not Bitcoin, as a threat to Bitcoin. His few arguments quite frankly don’t make much sense, and seem to work against each other. Here’s why Greg Maxwell is dead wrong on “altcoins,” whether you’re rooting for one Bitcoin to rule them all or hoping for a diverse ecosystem. https://www.dashforcenews.com/greg-maxwell-wrong-altcoins-several-different-angles/
