Any project the has no whitepaper and wants to collect money from individuals to sponsor the project is a scam in my opinion.what are the individuals investing their money into. And most that don't have a whitepaper also have no working platform. An endless loop of uncertainties is not worth any investments.

Now it is very fashionable to enter the ICO market without even having a primitive prototype of its own product. I am very much surprised. The ICO market is now at a standstill only because such garbage companies have ceased to collect money from young investors.

There's a huge probability that ICO's that lack whitepaper will end up running away with investors wealth. Its laughable to see people investing in self drops on projects that lack social media handles, websites or whitepaper. It's a clear indication that something is fishy and the project may only be concerned about listing on exchange and dumping the price on investors.

Actually whitepapers are just empty promises for me.
So there is no sense to have a white paper. But lazy scammers do not write whitepapers good so you can notice that those are 100%scam

But ICO without whitepaper more scam than a legit, I am personally very ensure an ICO project
it must have a whitepaper that qualified to give a good understanding for us.

I feel that whitepaper is a technical document which contains all information about the project and its development, price, team and whole structure and if any new ICO comes to the market without it then it can be a scam in future as no information available to its investors.

ICO without a whitepaper is a scam. Infact even if they have a whitepaper it could still be a scam because whitepaper is easy to produce. Always check the credibility of the team because they are the one who run the project and not the whitepaper.

ICOs that dont make their whitepaper visible or doesn't have one are probably scams, the thing is that even scammers take the time to create their "projects", so a lack of information maybe be just because lazyness.

I have seen several successful  projects without  a  whitepaper, an ICO running without is not an indication that it is a scam. We fine it very easy to tag a project scam without tangible reasons. Investors can get all the information needed on the website.

Strange is one word for it. Another word being SCAM. I don't see a point in discussing something as outrageous and virtually criminal as an ICO without a decent road map or whitepaper. It's like a coffee shop without any coffee or a menu. What are they promoting?

its true, i think it is kind of strange as well to not have a whitepaper when a project is launched.. but there are legit projects that release a whitepaper later on, an example would be deviant coin a.o.

though a lot of you are right i agree that a whitepaper makes it clear for people what the project is about so people understand what they're investing in, a roadmap is also not unnecessary and gives a vision of what and how they will achieve things.

For sure, an ICO without whitepaper sounds very scammy. A whitepaper is very necessary to explain the project and it's idea, it's essential to be followed and get a knowledge.

I would have never invested in the ICO without whitepapper. The technical document is an integral part of the project. Each investor should get acquainted with the project by studying the technical document.

Sometimes it simply can't be an immediate priority as there are many projects with few developers, which means that they have to spend their time on more important things, such as the full development of the ICO, whether a platform, an exchange or a coin, but at least before releasing it to the market, should have the whitepaper ready, so that investors can be informed.

ICO without whitepaper has the potential to be a scam, if the project is serious then they will make a whitepaper, I have met several ICOs without whitepapers and after I observed it finally proved that the project was a scam.
