The Whitepaper is the basis on which everything is based. Definitely ico without whitepaper will be a scam. I do not believe that ico without whitepaper could get any investors.

If there is no white paper ico, I can directly identify it as a fraud. Professional ico must have one or more white papers, and the team is obligated to show the investment some basic information of the company, including future plans.

In my opinion, there is no white paper ico, even if it is not a scam, I will not invest, because the white paper is a blueprint for a project. Dare to ask which project does not have a white paper?

Personally , I don't think there should be an ICO without whitepaper. The whitepaper bridges the gap between an investor and a company. Can we say a ICO without a whitepaper is a scam? Or what can you say about an ICO without whitepaper
Of course all projects or ICOs should have a whitepaper so people can understand what will be your projects goal or what problem does the project wants to solve. If you can find any ICOs without whitepaper, then you should ignore it and don't ever think of investing on it because it is considered a scam. Imagine a project that don't want to give information about them and their project to educate potential investors about what they want to offer, that's an obvious scam and I don't think that scammers are dumb to do an ICO without a whitepaper.

Yes i think so because without white paper there's no information about the plan for investors and even for bounty hunters. white paper provide every information about the project so it's really important for me

it seems that such projects will not be successful, because people already have the idea that people should lay out white paper, in any case, material is needed for the project, in which information will be described.

project like that wont have a future plan, and almost of that ico is a scammy thing. whitepaper is important in every project introduce to the community because it helps to someone who planning to invest or a wanting to join to their team, and also hunters are looking for those documents.

Probably your right that its a scam. Whitepaper is very important because it is the one that will tell the investors on why they should invest in that ICO and where the funds would go.

Speaking from a not so good experience I firmly believe that a project without whitepaper is definitely a scam. I almost but thankfully did not invest a single penny on that scam project. Surprisingly they did raise an amount considering their ads and website looked like it was made by a 1st grader. If I'm not mistaken they raised less than 1Eth. Going back to the topic though, I don't want to generalize but how can the investors understand what a project is about if there's no whitepaper to read, right? Better stay safe and just go with the ones with whitepaper (almost all projects have one, anyway) but it still doesn't guarantee if they are legit.

If ICO is there without whitepaper then we are unable to know about that project but you can join ICO related projects groups and you can read road map then you know something about that ICO project

It is kind of a joke if an ICO has no whitepaper. Because whitepaper is the most important part of their project, so that the investors know about their project.

Yes, many projects even with documentation are scammers. Although if the project does not have documentation at all, then it is certainly not necessary to invest its funds in such projects

If the developer has not posted White Paper and the project roadmap, then the startup can be immediately deleted from the list. If there is documentation, study it carefully. Honest developers try to explain in detail their idea and the ways of its implementation, using for this not only the text, but also tables, graphs, diagrams and other demonstration material. Scammers are limited to a few phrases about the bright prospects of the project. Or they load the reader with abstruse phrases that confuse, but explain nothing. If after reading the documentation you have too many questions and unclear points, it is better to look for another project.

A whitepaper is good evidence that the project has direction. It is also a good way to check if the project has long-term potential as it details information about the team and the platform of the project. But currently, whitepaper does not necessarily mean that the ICO will be successful. Scammers right now are getting sophisticated that they could create great whitepaper. So, researching deeply about the project is really important right now.

General information about the project, as well as all technical details can be stated in any other document or in the product story. For this, you do not need to make White Paper.

No whitepaper ? What i can say is the dev of the project is lazy or doesn't want to pay peoples for writing about their project.
Without whitepaper, investors cannot fully understand what is the project for, what is the advantages of project compare with others.

In my opinion, a project without such clarity is already a sign of deception. because without whitpapaer we can not know the various information available.
and I like this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4560719.msg41090029#msg41090029
because it explains the various kinds of good ICO elections.

I don't invest into ICOs that don't have a white paper. They need to have the idea or what they are building, as well as you can actually hold them to their white paper.

Obviously it's a 100% scam, there are bunches of abundance extends that is having an extraordinary whitepaper yet toward the end it's still swings to trick, what amount to a greater extent an abundance venture without a whitepaper? All abundance seekers and financial specialists are finding a decent abundance with having a high potential whitepaper, in light of the fact that it's a decent factor of a solid undertaking and we as a whole realize that.

I haven’t  met ICO projects without whitepaper yet but I think it could exist really. It is necessary to understand that instead of whitepaper some another document should be available. You would get required information of it.
