Ico without whitepaper is a no go for me, how can you trust someone else with your money when you don't know what they will do with your money and they can't explain what their plans are. Whitepaper is one of the most important factor to decide whether to invest or not so if they have no whitepaper then i won't look at the project.

During the first coin introduced does bitcoin have whitepaper? Im just curious but as far as I know they don't have but only introductions of the coin. If anyone knows that there is, I appreciate if you can share here. But as of today, ICOs without ICO isnt sure to be legit, this the new standard now when it comes to ICO but maybe before it isn't since no one really paying attention to it. It just now that providing whitepaper is necessary since lots of scam projects are spreading and Government is being alarmed by this kind of incidents. If your going to choose ICO, you will check all the details about it, like the whitepaper, the project and the team, so if the ICO have no whitepaper then have doubt to it because surely its scam. Whitepaper is one of the important to read in ICO because it details everything you need to know about the currency before making up your mind if you want to invest, purchase or use it. This includes commercial, technological and financial details of a new coin in language that can be understood by someone who is not an expert in the space.

Is it really that possible? All the bounties I have joined has its own whitepaper. Whitepaper contains everything about the campaign, who is in the back of the campaign, its ICO, how investors will participate, where to buy the coin, etc. It is really important, it is the basis. Absence of whitepaper is I think  a scam project.

An ICO without whitepaper appears fishy because the whitepaper serves as the blueprint for the whole project which enumerate the whole idea and roadmap of the project. This is what investors read in order to ascertain the authenticity of the ICO.

I also believe in that, Whitepaper promotes the transparency of the project without that, there is sure something that would go wrong at some point. A project must always be transparent, complete and almost perfect that is one of the criteria's in looking for a good project. OPP and MENLO is one of the examples of a good project.

I do not think there are any projects that do not include whitepaper. Because there are many investors who need to know about the project, and the whitepaper is necessary for them to understand the project well. Perhaps that project has not made a whitepaper yet

I'm guessing you mean that the project doesn't have a whitepaper and they have a bounty campaign going? As a investor, I wouldn't say it's 100% a scam project because of this, but I would be very curious and would be watching its development before investing into it.

There are too many investors and Dev team can not support everyone if they want to ask about the project. That's why we need a whitepaper. Investors can ask when they have questions about wp.

I haven't seen ICO without whitepaper yet. Nobody will invest in such ICO. There are plenty of ICOs , there is a competition for investors and it seems weird that somebody didn't make whitepaper to describe idea of project, vision, milestones, tokenometrics and so on

I support you in this thought, in any project there should be technical documentation, so a project that does not have white paper, simply can not be called a project. I do not think that someone will invest in it.
