Yeah, it could be a scam. But it shows that an x11 optimization is much needed for sgminer now.

I tested it with 280x, 7850 and 5970.
With 5970 : no optimisation at all
With 7850 : 45% more hash (1 MHs => 1.47MHs)
with 280x : 37% more hash (2.33 => 3.2MHs)

So, i don't like at all the fee thing, i preffere to make a 0.15 btc donation, but it show there is room for optimization !

Dont think its scam, girino made a gpu miner for metisicoin - probably based it off ypools model of 2% dev fee for custom miner. mts is dying soo more profitable hitting x11 as it seems to be the flavour of the month atm.

it`s a scam (IMHO): I didn`t get any accepted shares from my pool, miner is digging only for creator  
or may be my pool doesn`t like this software

On older Radeons optimal seems to be threads==shaders*5

PS: It was mining OK at drk.coinmine.pl
30% up on 5850 - 1300KH/s up from 950KH/s

6970 -  2050KH/
5850 - 1330

OK, i made some longer testing..

I'm mining darkcoin for testing. The diff is between 2000 and 3000.
I am mining for the dev (2%?) and for me (98%)

But, strangely, when mining for me, on my pool, with my worker (infos shown by sgminer),  sgminer claims i have found a bloc ! two times !...with 154 and 924 for best share... with a >2000 diff, it's not possible..so it's not on my darkcoin pool, as shown, but on dev pool

Did the dev disguised more fee than announced ? (so, is it a scam ? looks like)

edit : also, i saw it mining on my pool (darkcoin) but with an other block than normal shp-sgminer on another computer, strange ?

personally, I would avoid using it until it's opensourced, which probably won't happen because people will rebuild it without the fee asap.

you can deconpile it, but it's not so easy if it is in c++

The "speed up" is all in the client display.  You will find you actually generate far less shares on any pool.

I tried it with 4 different pools and got the same results. Client shows higher MH rates but ALL POOLs show far less shares accepted.

Hey lads,

Hope someone can help me out here. I'm running dual R9 280x's and getting a decent hashrate of around 3.2Mh/s on SGMiner. However, I noticed my Work Utility (WU) is extremely low - 0.046?! I've read more than once that the WU is a lot more important than the hashrate so I'm wondering what I've done wrong; I have 0 hardware errors and 0 rejects, yet still very low shares.

This is what my .bat file looks like.

So, why my tests on coinmine.pl show increased hashrates? 2600KH from 2x 5850 ...
At least this will make some changes and provoke  some optimisation. Even with these 30% 750Ti is on level with 280X

I've just tryed mining some x11 with my 280x and I get only 1.6Mh/s and I should be getting like 2.2Mh/s. I've got a "standard" config. You guys think it could be ATI drivers fault? I've tryed many miners and its all the same.

I think the only way to solve this issue is to get compiled darkcoinTahitiglg2tc8192w256l4.bin-file from user who get 2,3mh with 280x-card...anybody?
