The screen does black out after a few mins. Another interesting thing about my other rig that didn't drop at all is that I unplugged the monitor cable from the GPU so I could use it on my Asrock H81 board that do need a monitor plugged in to start. Don't know if that has anything to with it, but... let me do some test about that monitor being powered off by X scenario....
No wonder I didn't experience the drop, my rig has no monitor connected. the drop also happens on some of my rigs without a monitor attached. all rigs running 290 and 290x cards. run "aticonfig --adapter=all --initial -f". add these 4 lines into /etc/rc.local before exit 0 export DISPLAY=:0 xset s off xset -dpms xset s noblank
Just in case it's not already executable, run: I have sent a 30 Darkcoin Bounty to cryptogretzky by myself. As I only have 3 r9 290 I'll make 3 month to recover that bounty with my increased hasrate, but I'll be in peace with this bug. If any-one want to pay me back a part of that bounty, here is my address to share the cost. XavaNMidPmofBUt4RWLf6YHhNDUNA7TjY6 thanks works like a charm. stable for 4 hours now.

When i revert the changes the rig runs stable for hours but the rate drops again.

I have that same kind of problem, solved it by reverting memoryclock from 1500 to 1250. I don't know if the change we made has a side effect, but I'm pretty sure that switching back your memory to 1250 will solve this issue. After you can have some stable mining, start overclocking again. If the fix work, fell free to share with me the cost of the bounty I paid for it. My address is on the previous post.

Something fishy with groestl with this version?! Running it for 2-3 min produced no accepted shares, stopped, ran 26-03 build and it strted giving "accepted" in seconds. Too tired for testing tonight :S

Too tired for testing tonight :S Hmm I haven't looked at phm's changes... i just ran my build macro You can try the build in my github it has some other things added as well as a lot of the veox updates to sgminer. Though it still need a little work as incognito is a little flaky for some reason and n factor is broke after one of my updates edit: nfactor is fine as long as you can spell properly..... i.e. --algorithm or --pool-algorithm not --alogrithm......

Increase Intensity by 1 until you reach "saturation point" 18, even 19 are usually ok

When will blakecoin and heavycoin be incorporated in the miner? Since XPM is about to have a miner, will that be also a possibility in this sph miner? I like this miner because it's like a swiss army knife...lol

For what coin? the groestl for groestlcoin and the groestl for myr are slightly different I think.. both supported, just different kernel names ("-k groestlcoin" vs "-k myriadcoin-groestl") I haven't tried myriad but groestlcoin works fine for me sph, please can we have twecoin... pretty please? It desperately needs a standalone miner and pools

I believe an univcersal solution is so called "resistor mod" - plug 75 Om resistor into 1 DVI port of every card, so Windows will believe this card is connected to monitor https://50btc.com/en/articles/view/70
