Guys, we have missed some important news.

There is an interesting topic -  UFC inks $175-million sponsorship deal with Crypto.com. At first I did not believe my eyes, but then tippytoes posted news article.

Crypto.com will appear as a sponsor during this weekend even (Conor vs Poirier 3). That is an amazing promotion of cryptocurrency. Great timing by crypto.com.

I wonder if Adesanya, Ngannou will wear crypto.com badges on their shorts, while being stake.com ambassadors Cheesy

That's pretty cool. First I've heard of it. Always nice to see crypto companies going mainstream and it's always good promo for the industry when they do.

^^ Probably Conor talking about the supposedly Pacquaio fight.

Quote
In an interview Thursday with ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, McGregor admitted that he wasn’t fully focused on the task at hand. He wound end losing via second round knockout to Poirier.

“I pitied the man. I was looking past him. I had a Manny Pacquiao camp in place,” McGregor stated.

This time around he insists that he is fully locked in on his rival and doesn’t expect the fight to go the distance.

“I’m coming to kill the man. I’m coming in with vicious intent here. Mortar shots. What else can I say? That’s the way it is. I’m looking to take this man out cold,” McGregor said.

https://www.boxingscene.com/mcgregor-admits-he-too-focused-on-pacquiao-overlooked-poirier--158996

So he is motivated here, as others have said, it seems that he is different and fully focus and wanted to get Dustin heads off in this match.

These are just excuses as to why he lost. Last time it was his foot was like a balloon and saying I didn't prepare enough or my mind was elsewhere is any easy cop out. Connor isn't going to go into any fight without preparing but like most fighters they have an arsenal of excuses to wield to explain why they lost when in reality they were just beaten by a better fighter on the night. Connor lost because of the vicious leg kicks. I'm sure he'll be looking out for them this time. I can't really predict a winner this time round as I think it is pretty evenly matched. I could see it going the distance and maybe Connor winning it on points. Connor needs a win though or at least to stop losing. Connor said his next opponent will be Charles Oliveira but that's assuming he wins which is pretty presumptuous of him.

Conor is bad versus leg kicks. He is weak at wrestling (he trains with Dillon Danis, guy with 2-0 mma record, but black belt in bjj). Turns out he is good at boxing only (thanks to his dangerous left hand). Since 2018 his record is 1-2 and this guy plans to face Oliveira? He wont win that belt anymore. His fight against Poirier wont be finished by points (only 2/22 of McGregors fights ended with decision). I bet Poirier will win this Saturday/Sunday.

I can't believe that UFC is still posting those bus incidents to pump this fight with McGregor, but I guess that is the only thing they have left unless he makes something new in next few days.
Dustin Poirier is much better human being and I guess this is classical fight between good and bad guy, and my pick is on good guy this time.

Starting soon: UFC 264 Pre-fight Press Conference Poirier vs McGregor 3
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLlkx9c1TzU

I wasn’t really too excited for this main event but man...  McGregor sure knows how to hype up a fight.  But I still don’t think it’s worth actually buying the PPV.  Lol.  I mean I’d like to see something different..  I guess?  But it’s still gonna be more of the same imho.

Anyway, live weigh ins starting in around a couple of hours followed by the ceremonial weigh ins a few hours later.  If you guys are betting on these matches, it’s always good to see how they look at the live weigh ins if you have’nt made your bets yet.

UFC 264:  Live Weigh in Show
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCZ3gk-el9M

UFC 264:  Ceremonial Weigh in
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVU-os1PPRY

Edit:  Last call to join Sportsbet’s Multi Master Challenge for 264.  Don’t take it for granted guys.  Those free bets could win you a decent win with a parlay.  Smiley

Conor did struggle with those leg kicks though. However, when he went back to the corner his team or himself didn't mention it, and in the next round they didn't make any adjustments to avoid those leg kicks. I'd like to think that they have a game plan to reduce the amount of leg kicks hes taken, at least on his one leg, but I'm not convinced since they didn't adjust in that fight. Fighters most certainly practice how to adjust, so it was just odd that he continued to take a beating on that lead leg.

I felt the confrontation was more forced, than Conor is usually so I really don't know how to judge it based on what has happened prior to the fight, and going off the adjustments Conor has made previously, he doesn't really make all that many. The thing is, Conor most certainly has the talent to beat Poirier even without any adjustments, but I want to see Conor react intelligently, and actually come in with a game plan other than trying to knock him out in the first few rounds.

^  The thing with McGregor is he doesn’t really have the gas tank to last the whole 5 rounds.  If the match goes deep to rounds 4 and 5, rest assured Poirier has the advantage.  I got Poirier but if Conor wins..?  It will mostly be before round 3 imho.

Btw both main event and co main event fighters made weight.  Lezzz go!

That's true, conor need to win before the 3rd round, but I think this time Conor will lose again, he already makes me lose my last fight's bets, so, this time I will bet he loses. Let's see how it goes. Happy gambling for all.

^  At the current line at 1.80, I wouldn’t bet on Poirier.  If anything McGregor at 2.17 is the slight value play imho.  But would I bet it?  Nope, I’ll just pass.  There are a couple of spots I like better in this card like Kunitskaya and Giles.  I kinda like Gilbert Burns too.  I think the line should be a tad closer.

I'll be going for the submission from Ryan Hall. However, while the odds are pretty nice, I think that's a fair reflection. Topuria is going to know that will be Ryan's game plan, and previously we have seen Ryan Hall be a little bit one dimensional once he can't secure the takedowns. So, it'll be an interesting fight, I don't think we will see any traditional take downs from Ryan Hall, but more of his signature move of going for a leg hook. Whether or not Topuria can escape those will determine the outcome of the fight.

It is hard to stop someone that is good as Ryan Hall though. Since, Topuria would likely only have worked on stopping the heel/leg hooks in training camp. Its unlikely he's learned to have done it before that, at least in an extensive way since not many fighters of today utilize it.

You certainly have a point there, Ryan Hall is extremely good at his forte with the submission moves and that leg hook that he is so well known about, but I am going with the Ilia Topuria bet from a Ryan Hall because Topuria can also do it, he can also throw a submission move on Ryan Hall and he can also throw strikes we can say that Topuria is an all-rounder, but I also know that Ryan Hall is pretty good at his striking department mostly with his kicks, but if Ryan Hall can have a successful submission but Topuria can counter it with his own, I just shift from Hall to Topuria, not because Topuria is undefeated but I have seen something about Topuria, and I just have a gut feeling about it, but I still like Ryan Hall in what he does, but shifting my decision on going with Topuria I wish I am not wrong, but certainly anything can happen.

What is funny is that whatever Conor McGregor says all the media and the experts support those excuses especially Joe Rogan who will support all of his excuses about not really focusing on his opponent whenever he looses and i always see that they always undermine the victory by his opponents with the help of media by focusing on other things.

This time Conor McGreogor is back with his usual gimmick personality and i hope Dustin Poirier will not fall for that out of the world persona Conor McGregor is having when it comes to the fight game. Next loss and Conor McGregor can come up with another excuse that he was too much focused on Charles Oliveira and so is the reason he lost  Cheesy.

Lezzz go!
Yeah, I've in between a Conor TKO, and a late round submission by Poirier. Although, I keep changing my mind, even if Conor comes in at his best, Poirer is still a formidable foe, and we know what we are going to get from him, Conor on the other hand he's just so unpredictable, and while that can work to his advantage from a betting perspective it makes it even more difficult.

The sensible option is avoiding this fight altogether from the betting perspective I think.

I remember two fights where Conor McGregor won when he got past the second round and that is against Max Holloway way back in 2013 and the next fight was against Nate Diaz in their second fight where he won a decision which was a 5 round fight and it was a really close fight, he does not have a history of winning fights after the second round and if Dustin Poirier is able to weather the first round then he will win the fight as i am expecting Conor McGregor to come out guns blazing power shots .

I think he was motivated to take his head off in the previous one, he was head hunting with reckless abandon through the fight XD I hope he is a bit less motivated to take his head off and more motivated to stick to a good gameplan if he is in there to win, obviously. But I'll give him the benefit of doubt.

It is quite certain that Conor will be very motivated to go head hunting for this fight. He was disrespected by Dustin when Dustin tweeted that Conor lied about the donation he promised for Dustin’s charity. However, it was only Conor’s lawyers asking for an complete list of where the money would go and how it will be spent. Dustin, who might need more experience in these matters might have assumed Conor was avoiding the promised donation and he went to Twitter telling everyone that Conor lied about the donation.

Conor McGregor has claimed Dustin Poirier made a “grave mistake” by calling the Irishman out over a charity donation he promised he would make to the Diamond’s Good Fight Foundation

Conor McGregor has blasted Dustin Poirier months after the Diamond called him over a charity donation he failed to make to Poirier’s Good Fight Foundation.

Following their bout at UFC 257 earlier this year, McGregor was expected to donate $500,000 to Poirier’s charity which helps underprivileged families in the American’s home state of Louisiana.

However, weeks after the bout McGregor still hadn’t followed through on his promise, which led Poirier to respond to the Irishman on Twitter and call him out.

“That’s a fun prediction! You also predicted a donation to my foundation and you and your team stopped responding after the fight in January," Poirier stated.

McGregor replied to Poirier at the time, claiming the Diamond had never shared what he planned to do with the donation.

“A donation, not a debt,” he said.

“ We’ve been awaiting the plans for the money that never came. I do with all my donations. Know where it’s going dot for dot. Otherwise it goes walking. As is the case with a lot of these foundations, sadly.”

UFC 264

Dustin Poirier VS Conor McGregor
~~
Ryan Hall VS Ilia Topuria
~~
Thank you for posting your predictions about these two fights but what do you think of Irene Aldana vs Yana Kunitskaya and Stephen Thompson vs Gilbert Burns fights? I don't know if you have seen it but along with the triple winnings bonus on Dustin Poirier vs Conor McGregor, there is a double winnings bonus up to 200$ on a treble from Marlon Vera on Stake.
He's betting :
Irene Aldana to beat Yana Kunitskaya @1.85
Stephen Thompson to beat Gilbert Burns @1.66
and Dustin Poirier to beat Conor McGregor @1.79
What do you think of this parlay?

Interesting, I did not know that about the lawyers asking, that is actually not that crazy of him, I'd do the same. Regarding Conor being amped up about that, eh, I if was someone else I'd take it, but he knows how mental warefare interacts with fighting and I am sure he is doing everything to avoid that, not to become Aldo rushing into a punch.

I'm looking for some prediction here as I'm going to bet in this game, I think McGregor will lose again and it's only his excuse that he loses focus on the 2nd fight. There's a reason why bookies make Dustin Poirier a slight favorite in this match, for me, it seems like McGregor is already done.

I was picking Dustin Poirier to win the trilogy when it was announced but after the pre fight press conference Conor McGregor was back to his normal trash talking personality and it was showing in the face of Dustin Poirier but what i liked in that press conference was that there were fan questions that roasted Conor McGregor.

The best roast line by a fan was, after Barack Obama became president Conor McGregor only won one fight and how can the fans trust his prediction that he is going to win Cheesy .

Nice one, I think he should be a heavy underdog but because he is hyped and he talks too much, some fans still trust him to win. Dustin Poirier seemed to be a focused fighter and he has already figured out how to beat Conor so he can do it again. I'm not sure of the stats of a trilogy fights, but I think those who win in the 2nd fight most likely win the last fight.

He's betting :

Stephen Thompson to beat Gilbert Burns @1.66
and Dustin Poirier to beat Conor McGregor @1.79
What do you think of this parlay?

Irene Aldana VS. Yana Kunitskaya

Well, my take on this fight and my opinion is that Aldana is great with her striking that she beat Ketlen Vieira with KO punches but Yana Kunitskaya, in my opinion, is a well-rounded fighter and she can weaponize that in whatever she like she can launch a takedown on a striker or take the fighting on the feat against a wrestler, I really think that it is tricky to predict on a women division on what they surely do but I will go with a more well-rounded fighter and that is Yana Kunitskaya but if we look at the odds on stake.com Aldana is the slight favorite with 1.91 for Aldana and 2.01 for Kunitskaya but I am ignoring the Odds and will go with Kunitskaya,

Gilbert Burns VS. Stephen Thompson

Well, my take on this match Gilbert Burn is good at his takedowns but Wonderboy or Stephen Thompson I think he is good at his takedown defense, and Stephen is pretty much good at his striking but I think that Stephen is pretty good at his striking than Burns because Burns is good at getting the fight on the mat but is he able to takedown wonderboy to the Mat with Thompson's good takedown defense and so sad to say Gilbert Burn is not good with his Durability so if Stephen Thompson could land a successful strike on him this could be over in no time because I think that Thompson will be aware that Burns is a wrestler so he could be cautious with Burn getting the fight to the mat and he will surely take the distance between them and because I think to see Wonderboy Thompson versus Usman so my take will be Stephen Thompson winning this, and at stake.com Burns have 2.44 but Wonderboy has 1.64 at the moment.

I think your Parley is great but I would rather bet for Kunitskaya than Aldana in my opinion.

The way UFC is hyping the fight is that Conor McGregor always performs in the biggest stage and the last defeat against Dustin poirier there were no fans and he was a different person during the pre fight press conference as he was respecting the opponent but now he turned that face and he is talking trash and the hype is that whether these trash talk can make any difference in his performance because these mental games could have an impact on how they fight.
