England has a lead of 345 runs still they have wickets in their hands and this lead will increase. This match is being completed dominated by the English team. India's chance of winning or drawing this match is very bleak. Indian batting was pathetic, what were they thinking? James Anderson completely destroyed the Indian batting order and now the bowlers are not able to take wickets.

Only top order is in form for India and what Anderson did was to get the top order batsmen out in his opening spell itself. And that doomed the Indians. Apart from a occasional 50s and 60s, the Indian middle order is not performing for some time. On top of that, players like Rishabh Pant want to bat in T20 mode and just throw away their wickets. If the Indians want to remain alive in this series, then they need to make some tough decisions. Players who are not performing for a long time, like Pujara and Rahane needs to be dropped.

We are looking at a innings defeat for India in this test match . England already got a huge lead and with 2 more wickets in hand England may not need to even bat again. A lot of time left in the test match as well and only some miracle can save India otherwise an innings defeat for india is inevitable.

If England can give a leave of 400 runs, they will no longer have to bat in the second innings. Moreover, the way England put pressure on India in the first innings, India will bat under some pressure. If India cannot get out of this pressure, it will not be possible for them to lose to England except for one innings.

Well looks like India took the insult of 78 runs very seriously and today once again you can see a whole new team batting in front of English bowlers, I don't know if it's about the pitch or what but India has bounced back slightly, at least they are giving signs that they won't give up that easily. Top Order has performed really well, but the problem is for even drawing this match India has to bat at least 120 more overs and make at least 300 more runs to at least give England a target of 200+ and just two sessions to bat. But this is very hard, India has to spend the whole day tomorrow batting in the middle, I still think this match is 90% in England's pocket unless we can do a miracle just like Shami and Bumrah did in the previous match.

This pitch is absolute road so far. I don't know how its going to play for the last 2 days but the bowling and all the stats i'm seeing about movement its pretty clear to me that its a dead pitch. One can argue that its worse than you see in subcontinent, at least you see spinners comes in the picture some time when pitch is dead but here its like you're batting against the bowling machine. Indian batters were shitty with their poor shot of selection in the first inning tbh. Having said that Rohit was looking was looking extremely good in the second inning, bummer for him that umpire's call went against him, which i have noticed in this series. lots of calls went against the Indian team, some of them reversed due to DRS ofc.

I'm only praying for 2 daddy hundreds. Hitman is down so it all comes down to Pujara and Kohli. If by any chance these 2 manage to get big 100s then i won't rule out result in India's favor. Even if they draw the match it will boost their confidence.

Indian batting lineup collapsed again on day four. They batted well on day three. I thought India would be able to avoid the innings defeat by playing carefully on day four. But they lost their remaining 8 wickets in the first session of today. Robinson has done an excellent job with his bowling.

This is really shocking defeat after very good win at Lord's specially lower order completely fail to give any impression Pant need to do some better kohli again without triple figure which is also hurting very badly. Now they have very short time for preparing for next game which is very crucial for this series if they want better result in this series then surely they have to do some good work on batting.

This is a very disturbing experience. That's ridiculous for India to lose eight wickets on the morning of day four. In the meantime, I'm waiting for the next test match to see if India can bounce back. But, It was a good batting and bowling performance by England. India were defeated by an innings and 76 runs by England. Congrats!

Really sad to see such collapse of lower order once again, Yesterday after a strong performance from the top order I was hopeful that India would at least not lose with an innings but once Pujara got out there was a streak of wickets, even Rahane isn't able to find back his form, while Pant is becoming too inconsistent once again, In these types of matches you expect Ashwin and Thakur to be in playing 11 for a deeper batting, You can't obviously expect Shami and Bumrah to lead your front in every match.

India played well in the first two matches and fortunately rain help them draw the first match and India took the game away in the final session of the second match and it was a loss England wanted to bounce back like this and now the series looks interesting.

If you score 78 runs in the first innings you cannot expect them to bat any differently and the innings defeat is not a huge surprise but if India somehow avoided the innings defeat that then it would have been a huge surprise  .

In these types of matches you expect Ashwin and Thakur to be in playing 11 for a deeper batting, You can't obviously expect Shami and Bumrah to lead your front in every match.

Not sure adding Ashwin would have made any difference, the pitch was not helping the spinners but the best thing England did was to change their openers and Root owning the ground with his consistent performance and if he fails the entire England team will suffer. The India bowler did not get the correct line and length for this pitch.

I still had that slightly feeling that they might be able to draw this match. Another humilating defeat has been added to Kohli's cap. The first innings was a disaster. Two more matches left, if India wants to win this tournament then they have to win both of them. I doubt that will be possible considering the form of Indian batsmen.
