I want to talk about Lasith Embuldeniya's performance. Dhananjaya was batting very well but no batsman was able to form a partnership with him. Dhananjaya was at the crease but his other batsmen were quickly out. But Embuldeniya has been at the crease for a long time. Although he is basically a bowler, his batting is good enough. He scored 8 runs from 42 balls. He has been able to fulfill his responsibilities properly.
Sri Lanka has scored 300 runs. And they have not lost any more wickets. Dhananjaya-Embuldeniya pair scored 79 runs. Sri Lanka have been able to score so many runs thanks to the extraordinary batting skills of these two batsmen. They are ahead by 251 runs. In the last day, West Indies will not be able to win by batting for 252 runs.

Not your typical bowler but batting all rounder and already had 7 tons under his belt before this new daddy hundred. Daddy hundred doesn't come easy for the batsman when wickets are falling on the other end. He single-handedly saved the SL, if they win the game then he's the man of the match. Now their bowler would hope that pitch start deteriorating. ------------ Guess, we might get some clarity on the upcoming SA vs Ind soon.

And Embuldeniya has actually impressed me with how he stayed in the crease for 110 balls. De Silva played really well for his 153 runs. He basically held the SriLankan batting together.

Sri lanka are now in a strong position thanks to De Silva wonderful knock of 153 n.o, it was De Silva innings that has helped SL recover after losing 4 early wickets. Right now they are 279 runs ahead, they should try to give target of 325 to WI. Embuldeniya is blocking the balls well so its possible to De silve to take target to over 325.

------------ Guess, we might get some clarity on the upcoming SA vs Ind soon. A wise decision in cancelling the tour altogether, because if BCCI decides to somehow push with the tour, it will give a very bad picture of the Indian cricket, Cases are already on a rise there and then you decide to send your main team there right in the hub of covid, and no matter what people say, the covid bubble isn't really a very solid thing, after all, we have seen it getting breached a lot of times, IPL was the biggest lesson for BCCI. I think India should definitely postpone the tour to a more suitable time or decide to play in some other neutral venue.

There is no question that players safety is must but it won't be a straight forward decision. CSA is in deep financial crisis and withdrawal from the Australia-England didn't help either so they are expecting BCCI to pull them out from this situation as this tour is worth almost half in value, what CSA receive from the ICC. And then their is some political angle too. This tour is the 30th anniversary of South Africa re-entry to International Cricket after they faced a ban, coincidentally India was the first country to host them. India A and South Africa A already playing each other so it does look like that both boards don't want to cancel the tour, let's see what happens.

With this all your view I am feeling India don't want to lose a friend because they are already having some issues with ECB so if in current situation they will cancel this tour or have any other alternative this could be not good for them, so I am sure about this Indian tour of South Africa is going ahead. And as you already described India was the first country to tour South Africa, and they have some good on and off field relationship they will try to have some better and safe path for players as well, but this tour is going to be OK. Still it's all about Government of India and BCCI because they better know how to handle this all with new variant is already damaging very badly and many countries feeling bad about this all because they can't afford to know this all with already dead economies and many other domestic problems.

Omicron is an annoying new variant which is a combination of both the beta and delta variants making it the most deadly variant so far, but the good thing is that it hasn't been spreading as quickly as expected which bodes well for the entire world. I don't really think that it will affect any major Cricket tournaments in a big way unless it starts spreading like crazy which I don't think will happen. Hope I'm right!

Srilanka has a good lead of 279 runs and it will be hard for West Indies to reach that score in the last day. The game has now drifted to the Srilankan side and now their bowlers need to perform well and take wickets in the first session itself. Dhananjaya de Silva has changed the game completely, 153 not out. A few more over and he would have easily reached 200.

India won the toss and elected to bat first. At the moment the score is 64/0, both batters are playing well and hopefully, continue to play throughout today. Westindies struggling at the moment they have already lost 3 wickets and have scored only 92 runs. I do not think they will be able to reach the target. This match has now become completely one-sided. If Srilanka wins then they win the series.

Unfortunately WI is suffering in every format of cricket whether its Test, ODI or T20. If you see there 2nd innings there is no noticeable batting performance from any of there batsman. Things will go bad for them after depart of Gayle from there squad. We have handful test teams and its sad to see few of them going so down.

India has passed the 220-run mark thanks to Mayank Agarwal and Wriddhiman Saha's unbeaten 61-run. The team is currently 221/4 after day one. Mayank Agarwal played a brilliant knock. With his 120 runs, Agarwal plays a good innings of batting. It is always encouraging to see a youngster perform well. They secured victory against the West Indies with a brilliant display of spin bowling in second Test. The cricketing situation in Sri Lanka is looking up. Hopefully the days of outstanding cricket can return.

India is in a great position currently while NZ are struggling. Agarwal is playing brilliantly while Saha is supporting him well at the moment. Ajaz Patel is the only NZ bowler who is troubling the Indian batting line-up at the moment.
How many more chances will Pujara get? He scored zero runs along with Kohli who also hasn't regained his form yet. They need to replace Pujara in my opinion.

India can score 350 runs from this position which IMO are sufficient for there bowlers to defend. Lyer wasnt able to continue his brillent form which he gained from 1st test match. Kohli harsh days are still not over, he was rested for first test but still wasnt able to score any run in first inning along with pujara. Lets wait for second innings before drawing final conclusion.

Jadeja also struggling with forearm injury I was wondering why he was dropped as he was in the team even at the expense of Ashwin and when the team was announced i was wondering what really happened and now i have the clarity . SL vs WI : Windies need 297 runs to win
I though the match would end up in a draw, because they were playing decently for the second and third wicket and odds were really high for Sri Lanka to win and then the collapse started which i really missed watching and by evening when i saw the scoreboard i was surprised to see that West Indies collapsed to 132 runs as they were 90 for 2 when i stopped watching the match.

Ohh didn't know about these facts, this Obviously makes the decision very difficult both for BCCI as well as CSA because even BCCI would have considered these facts at time of planning of tour, moreover money is the biggest deciding factor these days in international cricket, if board is getting a lot of revenue from one tour they will probably be ready to send their players even to Afghanistan, especially these boards which don't earn that well.

Jadeja also struggling with forearm injury I was wondering why he was dropped as he was in the team even at the expense of Ashwin and when the team was announced i was wondering what really happened and now i have the clarity . For me surprising factor was Rahane's injury. I was aware that Puji and Rahane were facing some criticism due to their poor run and with Kohli coming back at team one of em had to step out, question was who? Amusing that they used the injury excuse in case of Rahane lol, if Puji also keep batting like that then in next test (SA) Pujara also about to discover some sort of injuries. SL is leading the WTC table atm but their grouping is tough. Playing Aus, Pak at home and Ind, NZ away.
Double ton for Mayank? He likes to score big when he's on song. Already 2 double tons under his belt, for opening slot competition is becoming headache for the selectors.

Mayank Agarwal is still on the pitch and is going good, he has already reached 120 and I think he will target 200. That would be great for a youngster in Indian test cricket. On the other hand, SL won the series was quite evident when WI started to bat.
