One reason why Indian batting failed specially against Pakistan in UAE is because they used to play fast bowlers with speed of 120 to 130 in IPL but Pakistani pace bowlers used to bowl over 140. This league structure is not good for cricket in the long run, player who can perform good in test or ODI is real cricketer.

Well.. that's strange. In the IPL we have tearaway pacers like Kyle Jamieson, Lockie Ferguson and Anrich Nortje. They normally bowl within the 140-150 kmph range. On top of that, the pitches in the UAE were not very supportive of the pace bowling. The scoring rate plummeted during the 7-15 overs, and during this time it was the medium pacers and spinners who dominated the bowling attack. The top wicket takers were two spinners - Wanindu Hasaranga and Adam Zampa, followed by Trent Boult.

@galambo the real reason was fatigue the Indian player’s were tired, and instead of opting out of the tournament or taking a break from IPL to be fit they decided to turn up and put in a horrible show.

Furthermore the team that played Pakistan could easily play any pace bowler if they were fully fit, but sadly they weren’t hence they lost the match, but going ahead in future test matches I’m sure they’ll do well against any pace bowler.

This is not an excuse that excessive matches affects the player performance. The players need to work out on their fitness and ready to play 365 days of the year.
The competition is too much these days that if one player take rest, it give opportunity to the other players to permanently take their position and outclass them in performance.

We cannot say that t20 is not real while there are t20 world cups happening but this is true that it requires very less skills than the other two formats of cricket. And in the semis, if Pakistan won the toss I have no doubt that they would have won the match too.

T20 is more about entertainment then cricket. Just like in baseball you have to hit every ball same is the case with T20 cricket. There are bowlers wh have very good bowling record in T20 but have very low wicket taking record in Test. Pakistan despite losing toss in the semis, gave Australia a tough fight. Otherwise team batting second have won quite easily.

In Asia subcontinent we have dew factor very serious for bowling second and pitches are also had no helpful for bowlers so here mostly toss factor works and after winning teams love to chase because they know this is good with more chances of winning match which already happen in all world cup.

Yes specially in sub continent conditions at this time of the year in the night matches it is a serious problem because of the due coming in the second innings makes things very easier for the batting teams as it becomes very difficult for the bowlers to grip the ball and hence they cannot control the ball as they would have liked

LOL.. After the India vs England test at the Oval (2nd September), we didn't had a single test match for almost three months. Did anyone noticed this? Just proves once again that test format is dying. There is interest in test cricket only when the pig-3 sides are playing. No one really cares when smaller teams like West Indies or Sri Lanka plays test cricket. Anyway, Sri Lanka will be hosting West Indies for another meaningless bilateral tour. The first test is scheduled for 21st November. Apart from Jason Holder, there is hardly any experienced player in the Windies squad.

Why you call Big-3 as Pig-3 every time you write? We need to have these biletral series since they are played for decades. You cant stop decade old tradition just because of few years of hit T20. Its because of these Test and ODI, we have seen legendary cricketers. It because of these Test and ODIs we develop interest in T20, without them cricket is nothing.

For spinner the dew is a problem as the ball gets wet and it can be a problem to grip and it takes too much time to wipe the ball down and now a days the grounds are not that big like they used to be in the past and any miss hit would cross the boundary.

Too many matches and the IPL is the reason that India did not perform as a team in the first two matches and now India is taking that against New Zealand and if the World Cup was conducted in India then i think it would have been a different story.

Why not Steve Smith? He is the best player in the squad right now. David Warner won't be a bad choice either. And in case they are aiming for the future, then they should go for Marnus Labuschangne. Now what I don't want is them to hand over the captaincy to someone who is not performing at the moment. That rules out players like Mitchell Starc. Anyway, this is going to be another turbulent phase in Australian cricket. They just won the T20 World Cup, and things looked to be going in the right track.

Consider his career finish if CA is serious about these allegations because Paine can't cement his spot in the squad as wicketkeeper-batsman. He was there only because he was captain.

They are not even considering Starc, Marnus names for the captaincy. Well, we all know that these types of allegations and problems are nothing new for cricketers as many greats of the game (I won't say any names) have also had this type of problem. I think this really happens because of no sense of discipline.

Frankly what I feel is that girl is only trying to get attention and coverage in media.. Where she was since two years and suddenly this news came,..well this can be true but it is my feeling . no way near I know hardik pandya whether he can do this to any girl or not. Pandya can easily get out from this scandal, already no further news are coming regarding this scandal. So We can assume that things are very much settled at Pandya side. But it wont be easy to suppress the victim in Australia since laws are very much strict and enforced in Australia thats why Tim has resigned from captaincy.

Oh common.. that incident happens many years ago and Steve Smith was banished for one year when he was at his peak. Ball tampering is something that is very common in test cricket. Steve Smith was unlucky and that's the reason why he got caught. And I still don't understand the logic in banning three batsmen for ball tampering and giving clean chit to the bowlers. Anyway, bygones are bygones. Smith already received a disproportionate punishment for his misadventure. I don't want him to be targeted again.
