Well, the current situation is that Sri Lanka has scored a massive 328 runs for 8 wickets. And Embuldeniya has actually impressed me with how he stayed in the crease for 110 balls. De Silva played really well for his 153 runs. He basically held the SriLankan batting together.

Sri lanka are now in a strong position thanks to De Silva wonderful knock of 153 n.o, it was De Silva innings that has helped SL recover after losing 4 early wickets. Right now they are 279 runs ahead, they should try to give target of 325 to WI. Embuldeniya is blocking the balls well so its possible to De silve to take target to over 325.

Sri Lanka already won first match and now having very good position in second mean now they are winner of these 2 test series without any doubt and West Indies is going down day by day which is really matter of concern for them because having very poor resent test series is bringing them down very badly in this format now they are going to drop at 8th place after this lost and their current rank in all formats are 8th or 9th which is really poor because there is no positive news about them for having any good news and fans are also losing their patience with their poor run which can bring some more bad effects in this area as recently already Basketball and Baseball having some better response.

Srilanka has a good lead of 279 runs and it will be hard for West Indies to reach that score in the last day. The game has now drifted to the Srilankan side and now their bowlers need to perform well and take wickets in the first session itself. Dhananjaya de Silva has changed the game completely, 153 not out. A few more over and he would have easily reached 200.

India won the toss and elected to bat first. At the moment the score is 64/0, both batters are playing well and hopefully, continue to play throughout today. Westindies struggling at the moment they have already lost 3 wickets and have scored only 92 runs. I do not think they will be able to reach the target. This match has now become completely one-sided. If Srilanka wins then they win the series.

Unfortunately WI is suffering in every format of cricket whether its Test, ODI or T20. If you see there 2nd innings there is no noticeable batting performance from any of there batsman. India has passed the 220-run mark thanks to Mayank Agarwal and Wriddhiman Saha's unbeaten 61-run. The team is currently 221/4 after day one. Mayank Agarwal played a brilliant knock. With his 120 runs, Agarwal plays a good innings of batting. It is always encouraging to see a youngster perform well.

They secured victory against the West Indies with a brilliant display of spin bowling in second Test. The cricketing situation in Sri Lanka is looking up. Hopefully the days of outstanding cricket can return.

How many more chances will Pujara get? He scored zero runs along with Kohli who also hasn't regained his form yet. They need to replace Pujara in my opinion.

I was wondering why he was dropped as he was in the team even at the expense of Ashwin and when the team was announced i was wondering what really happened and now i have the clarity .

I though the match would end up in a draw, because they were playing decently for the second and third wicket and odds were really high for Sri Lanka to win and then the collapse started which i really missed watching and by evening when i saw the scoreboard i was surprised to see that West Indies collapsed to 132 runs as they were 90 for 2 when i stopped watching the match.

A wise decision in cancelling the tour altogether, because if BCCI decides to somehow push with the tour, it will give a very bad picture of the Indian cricket, Cases are already on a rise there and then you decide to send your main team there right in the hub of covid, and no matter what people say, the covid bubble isn't really a very solid thing, after all, we have seen it getting breached a lot of times, IPL was the biggest lesson for BCCI. I think India should definitely postpone the tour to a more suitable time or decide to play in some other neutral venue.

There is no question that players safety is must but it won't be a straight forward decision. CSA is in deep financial crisis and withdrawal from the Australia-England didn't help either so they are expecting BCCI to pull them out from this situation as this tour is worth almost half in value, what CSA receive from the ICC.

And then their is some political angle too. This tour is the 30th anniversary of South Africa re-entry to International Cricket after they faced a ban, coincidentally India was the first country to host them. India A and South Africa A already playing each other so it does look like that both boards don't want to cancel the tour, let's see what happens.

Ohh didn't know about these facts, this Obviously makes the decision very difficult both for BCCI as well as CSA because even BCCI would have considered these facts at time of planning of tour, moreover money is the biggest deciding factor these days in international cricket, if board is getting a lot of revenue from one tour they will probably be ready to send their players even to Afghanistan, especially these boards which don't earn that well.

For me surprising factor was Rahane's injury. I was aware that Puji and Rahane were facing some criticism due to their poor run and with Kohli coming back at team one of em had to step out, question was who? Amusing that they used the injury excuse in case of Rahane lol, if Puji also keep batting like that then in next test (SA) Pujara also about to discover some sort of injuries.  

SL is leading the WTC table atm but their grouping is tough. Playing Aus, Pak at home and Ind, NZ away.

Double ton for Mayank? He likes to score big when he's on song. Already 2 double tons under his belt, for opening slot competition is becoming headache for the selectors.

I doubt they will reach that target, I think 300 will be quite competitive in this test. Mayank Agarwal is still on the pitch and is going good, he has already reached 120 and I think he will target 200. That would be great for a youngster in Indian test cricket. On the other hand, SL won the series was quite evident when WI started to bat.

Well.. we can't expect Iyer (Shreyas in this case) to score a century everytime. The pitch seems to be very conductive to batting and the pacers are not getting any support. It is actually ruining Jamieson's incredible bowling average (before the start of this match, it stood at 15.05 per wicket). Tim Southee was economical, but he couldn't get any wickets this time. And still surprised with the inclusion of William Somerville. He looked out of sorts in the first test and still he was picked over Santner. What happened to Santner? Is he injured?

Indian pitches are only for batsmen they rarely left anything for bowlers on the pitch. So it's nothing surprising that pacers are not getting any support on the pitch. Still NZ bowlers have done good job. I checked but there is no news of Santner injury. He may be given some rest, just my guess.

Bangladesh are happy to start there 2nd test with Shakib one of there vital player. During the first session Bangladesh are looking very aggressive, they are in desperate search of win. Both openers are gone which is what Bangladesh want, Pakistan still in good position as they areb78/2.

Looks like Ajaz Patel may get 10-wicket haul. Right now he has figures of 108/7, and he has taken all the wickets to fall so far. On the other hand, William Somerville looks pathetic and is going at a rate of almost 5 runs per over without any success. Axar Patel is once again cementing his position as the all rounder, and he looks set to score another half-century. Tim Southee and Kyle Jamieson have bowled 34 overs between them. They have been economical, but so far failed to take any wickets.

320 runs on the scoreboard looks enough, may be 350 ish? The kind of turn Ajaz generated so far this doesn't look easy pitch to bat on for sure.

He did it, 10 wickets for Ajaz Patel. It was Anil Kumbli against Pakistan and now an Indian born NZ player did that against India. But what a bad performance from NZ batsman, now clearly India are in full control of this match. Seems like all hard work of Patel will be in vain.

Because the Indian batsmen are the best, when it comes to the handling of spin bowling. Anyway, the match is firmly within India's grasp. Unless there is a miracle, New Zealand is going down by a huge margin. Their batting performance was just pathetic. Kyle Jamieson top-scored with 17, as they were bundled out in just 28 overs.

Ajaz Patel bowled brilliantly and he deserved the 10 wicket haul. The manner in which he bamboozled batsmen like Pujara, Ashwin etc was magnificent. It's been a long time since someone claimed 10 wickets in a Cricket match.

However, the manner in which the India bowlers destroyed the NZ batting lineup was even more spectacular. India will win this test series by 1:0, but the actual result should have been 2:0 thanks to stupid ICC rules.

For Ajaz Patel, it is history as he picks up all 10 wickets in one innings. This is an amazing achievement for such a young bowler. Mumbai was his birthplace, and he carried a dream to play there, and now that dream has now become history. There was a lot of action on Day 2 in Mumbai and India remain on top. I really enjoyed today's test match.  The better thing is that India comfortably scored 69 without losing after wrapping up New Zealand for 62 runs.
