Very strange situation as just one test and having no play just because of weather what a waste of money and time because they need some better ~
I am also talking in same way that we have sports organizations controlled by men, and they are not giving commitments as they have to if WIPL came into India then surely big revenue some better quality better finances going to help women, and they will feel more comfortably and able to give much better result than expected from them.

The problem is that you are not able to attract the audience and if they can attract an audience then they will get the necessary advertisement and endorsement, i do watch the matches but they are usually conducted in mostly empty stadiums.

But, main issue is who will do this and bring changes because men controlled organizations never allowed to give power to women in our countries which is really setback just few days back we have first Female President of MCC after Sangakara is big change from England but here some things needed but not happening.

It will be wrong to say that women's events doesn't bring the revenue. The WBBL has brought in good amount of profits for Cricket Australia, and the women's Hundred has done the same for ECB. If the BCCI comes up with WIPL in the future, then I am 100% sure that they will get good profits as well. The main issue in my opinion is that the cricket boards are dominated by men in top positions. Female members are there just to make up the numbers and don't hold any real power. So they can afford to ignore women's cricket.

to be honest, men and women are biologically different. Women's cricket has a smaller ground. So it is justified to reduce the length by one day. And India will surely try to make Australia follow on, and maybe then try to bowl them out. But if that doesn't happen, this match might end up in a draw. Your few points are valid but still ICC and relative boards can do some changes for better results from this format because match is already ended in draw if we have 40 to 50 more overs than surely there could be some better result or interesting end for this match, but already this was four days and lost first all day just because of rain have not good impact of cricket fans. Australia, England, New Zealand and South Africa women's playing this format for very long time but their relative countries never done any interesting changes for better exposure which is really poor from them.

Can you explain what you are talking about here. The personal ego of whom and what is bringing down the spirit of the game. Everyone has their politics and i am not going to dug deep on that as i am not interested in that but the general capitalist mentality is that anyone bringing the most revenue should get the power and the major share and i do not complain against that either.

If i coin this in Bitcoin terms, can you complain about the whales who are investing huge amounts and getting the biggest profit and they can do that simply because they have the resources to raise the capital.

Thanks for sharing the info. Thats a positive sign for future of woman cricket team. If Aus and England can do that then other big boards like India, CNZ, SA can also do that. The man and woman cricket should be played side by side so that rest of the world also gets an idea that woman are in cricket too.

I really don't know whether the BCCI wants that. They have voiced their concern that any other T20 league at the time of the IPL would result in dilution of the latter. This is the reason why they have prohibited Indian players from takin part in foreign T20 leagues, and one of the reasons why they haven't started the WIPL yet. The problem is with the outdated thinking from the BCCI guys. They believe that all other leagues pose a danger to the IPL. That should not be the case, as IPL is regarded as the most star studded league in the world.

That should make up for any losses that they suffered due to COVID. Maybe they will think about the WIPL sometime after that.

You never know, Tata's might if Ambani's and Adani's can. They are already into everything except sports  . I also do not think that it will go in billions. They are buying a franchise and not a company. WIPL is not a priority for BCCI now they are busy minting IPL at the moment.

One decade has passed and the brand value of IPL has increased by manytimes. I won't be surprised if the auction price crosses $1 billion this time. Only two franchises are in offer and it looks as if this may be the final expansion of the IPL. So for the industrialists like the Adani and Goenka, this is like a once in lifetime opportunity.

You are right but at that time INR was about 45ish against the USD and right now it stand at 74.85 against USD. Back then Pune franchise final bid was around 1700 crore INR, atm new franchise base price is 2000 crore INR (approx $260 Millions). BCCI estimating 3500-4500 crore INR for one team.

BCCI invites tender for new IPL franchises

"The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has put a base price of Rs 2000 cr for the new teams of the Indian Premier League (IPL). After it sent out a release inviting bids for two new franchises on Tuesday (August 31), a BCCI office-bearer confirmed to Cricbuzz that the reserve price would be Rs 2000 crore, an expected figure considering that the Rajasthan Royals, not exactly a top-rung side in the league, had sold 15 per cent of its share at an overall value of Rs 1850 crore recently.

The final selling price could be more than Rs 3000 crore per team but one BCCI official said the board expects it to be higher than double of the reserve fee. Ahmedabad and Lucknow are the favoured destinations but a few other cities are also available for purchase. The whole process of bidding could be over by October second week enabling the two new franchises to witness the IPL final in Dubai on October 15."

I don't understand the reason why Indian players are not allowed to take part in other leagues? Are there enough opportunities in India that they they can accommodate each and every player in domestic setup? BCCI is taking up the model of China, where its closed for the world. In IPL there are few domestic players that can come up and play. But if Indian players are allowed to go around the world and play leagues then it will help players that wont make it to IPL.

Indian stock market indices have grown by almost 4 times since 2010. It may not be a right comparison, but gives an indication of how fast wealth was created in India during the last few years. I haven't visited India since the pandemic started, so have no idea about the situation on ground. Maybe you are right. But even ₹4,000 crore per team would be massive for the BCCI. This is more than the amount they received in 2008, by auctioning 8 teams. But if 10 teams are there, then they need to increase the duration as well, right? Right now it is 14 matches per team, which will increase to 18 if there are a total of 10 teams.

Right now all possibilities available because this is fact now IPL brand is value is much more than 2010 and big fishes can go for this with their Billions of USD. I am also feeling most chances we will have these both teams around $2 Billion USD even its pandemic and IPL is still giving big profit through TV rights. Adani and Goenka coming, so hopefully someone from Tata will also have some good interest in Cricket, and they will give a try to this also for entertainment purpose like Ambani's doing right now. India is now too much made for cricket, like we have madness in Latin America for Soccer.
