Egg on my face, i wasn't expecting this kind of dominating response from the Bangladesh and Shakib is yet to come. Momentum is clearly with the Bangladesh.

SL would be disappointed that their 1 bowler (Vishwa Fernando )is ruled out from the test due to concussion rules but positive news is his replacement Kasun Rajitha took 2 wickets.

Bangladesh is playing really well and to be honest I did not expect this type of response from the Bangladesh batsman. Tamim Iqbal played really well for his century. I don't think he is injured or anything. I just saw the weather forecast and today was a really hot day in Bangladesh and he just wanted to take some rest to come out to bat later.

The other batsmen of Bangladesh are also playing really well. But it was disappointing for Shanto and Mominul. Bangladesh is still trailing by 79 runs but I believe they will be able to take a good lead in this innings. I think they should play for the win in this test match.

That's definitely a draw and that's one of prime reason why cricket is confined to 10 nations only. 5 days of play and we still have no winner. I didn't watched the three days of play but stats shows its a batting track with nothing much for bowlers. I don't expect SL batting is that worse that they collapse on single day against Bangladesh.

Tamim Iqbal is part of Bangladesh's highest opening Test partnership with 162 runs. There are no records for anyone other than master batsman Tamim Iqbal. Tamim Iqbal got to his tenth Test with a bang. As Tamim is one of the most senior players on the team and can't stay forever, they need to develop another player to fill his spot. As for Sri Lanka's bowlers, they took three wickets, but the lead has been reduced by just 168 runs. Tamim Iqbal retired hurt. Hopefully he will come back for the day's final session. That session will be critical for both teams.

I think they will not declare the innings untill they have a lead of more than 250 runs. Matthew is in form and he has the ability all by himself to chase a lead of 200 runs. The way Bangladesh batters played yesterday, I think this will not be a big task for them.

First two sessions mean around 55-60 overs of play. Going with the current run rate, they will make another 150 runs and that will give them a lead of 70 runs. I don't think that Bangladesh will declare at this point. They would rather wait until their lead gets to at least 200 runs before declaring. And therefore I don't expect the declaration to come today. My guess is that Bangladesh will bat all day today, and then they may declare during the first session of 5th day. And that also means that there is zero chance of getting a result other than draw.

I don't think that enough time is available to bowl out Sri Lanka and then for the Bangladeshis to chase down the target. And as I posted even before the match started, it is going to be yet another boring draw. 5 days of play, and still there is no result. And remember that there was no rain interruption as well. I would wait till the end of today's play, but what is the point of having such matches? Hardcore cricket fans will watch these matches. But for how long?
