We can still watch it comfortably in our homes. the cases won't gonna give up some green light in the coming days especially in the Metro Manila area. there's no way we can watch this season again in the coliseum like how we used to before this pandemic or whatsoever. But the atmosphere is not the same for the players. nevertheless, the season will continue as long as all the players are fine and safe when they are playing.

They started the vaccination program already but I believe the vaccine is not enough that's why the government are putting this ECQ measures again. The PBA has no choice but to go back to the bubble format, otherwise, we will not see an NBA season this year, just to be realistic.

The signs were already there, according to the 40-year-old wingman, especially during his final year with NLEX when he noticed his body no longer responds the way it used to when he was younger.

And so there was no hesitation on his part when he talked to management about his plan to finally walk away from the game just when the Road Warriors were planning ahead for the league's coming 46th season.

After 16 years and three championships won, Baguio retired from the game where he spent the final three-and-a-half years of his career with NLEX.

I see this coming few years back because Cyrus was really affected by those injuries and he is not the same anymore when he come back particularly with NLEX but thanks coach Yeng, the one who give him the break of his career, he was still given the chance to play for them.

He may not have those explosiveness back in his younger days but he could mentor the young ones on what to do to be successful in their career especially when they are under the wings of coach Yeng.

If all the players and staff are getting the vaccine, then they can play in an arena while they can go to their family after the game. Unlike in bubble where they will have to sacrifice and stay in one location. So hopefully they have enough vaccine prior the start of the new season.

Sad news in a way of it's totally fine. Not a sad moment at all since the PBA community already knows that coming. 40 years of age, now on a retirement period. I just can't imagine what's the feeling when he says, "he noticed his body no longer responds the way it used to when he was younger". An athletic player then slowly your body isn't taking part at all.

One of the best pure-blooded Pinoy who become a Slam Dunk Champion where the nickname "Skyrus" born.

Either way I agree with what you said that he is already 40 years old and he got many achievements already in the league. Its time for him to give his spot to those young players who are aspiring to be like him or be like their idols too.

If they will prioritize the safety of the people then bubble would be the best solution with this but if they really don't want to do what they did last year then I think that this would be a better solution.
Is it also possible that the family of the players will be included in the bubble area too. Of course that would be more costly to the league but at least the players will have time to spend with their family.

Whatever the solution is as long as the PBA season will continue this year which is I think it is then we are all good even though it will be just one season but better if they can make it 2 seasons

We need to wait for the decision, but we can expect that PBA season will commence soon and likely be in a bubble type or not depending on the availability of vaccine and it's not instant that everyone will get their vaccine once the vaccine is already available, so probably we will see that the date will be move again.

THE expected delay in the opener of the PBA 46th season also meant extending the recovery period of San Miguel Beer main man June Mar Fajardo.

Although the Beermen are just as eager to start the Philippine Cup just like the rest of the field, the continued spike in COVID-19 cases has forced the league to abort the planned April 18 season opener and instead, re-evaluate the entire calendar for the year.

As PBA officials assess their next course of action, the recuperation of the 6-foot-10 Fajardo from an off-season surgery also remains.

"With the current situation, siguradong mamo-move ang season," said team manager Gee Abanilla. "That would be good for June Mar's recovery."

No need to rush everything, Fajardo has to insure that he is fully healthy before he will come back.
He is still the best player in the PBA, his healt matters and I think his team will not struggl because SMB is full of stars.

Vaccine is a good solution as it will lessen the risk of everyone, if this proposal will  implement then you are right there's no need

It's lesser this time, the Metro Manila is the center of the covid-19 increased cases but for the provincial places, they have lesser and just like last time, they can put back the bubble and let all the staff members and players stay there until the end of the season. The PBA management can't wait until the mass vaccination ends, in fact, it's already happening but it will take time until the center that has the most covid cases will get the herd immunity.

My mistake I guess, and if there are players who doesn't want to play since it's possible that the virus might hit them bad.

Coach Yeng Guiao's suggestion is good but it's easier said than done.

Vaccines are limited and even the government allows private buying, there's no vaccine available that can be purchased easily. If the league will buy vaccines, it will take several months before they can settle an agreement.

If they really want to save that P65 million to P70M then don't think of opening the PBA for the meantime and wait for several months even it will take the opening to 4Q. But if they will still push it, maybe this month or next month, then bubble setup is necessary.

We know that we want to see him dominate the paint again like what he used to do but making sure that he is 100% healthy when coming back would be better than pushing him to play even he isn't 100% sure.

Not as dominate as JMF, I know that Tautuaa can still fill what JMF can do. What I'm thinking now is the bench Center. They have some though but not that familiar for me aside from Mamaril which is already old and not that dominating too.

Tautuaa is inconsistent, and maybe he has a lot of weakness, reason why he was traded 2 times already. I don't know if they'll still be successful without JMF but they'll be in the playoffs for sure, and not because of Tautuaa but beacuse of their shooters.
