I almost put a bet on the handicap on what @bisdak40 posted here yesterday.

I know it's risky but I refer to the last game on Gilas and might be another surprising performance just like what they did on Serbia.

That's the end for now but there's another chapter. Lots of international competitions are waiting for Gilas.

TBH, I'm tempted to bet for Dominican Republic because I have a gut feeling that they will lose by double figures due to fatigue and the latter are preparing for them as they have scouted the Gilas players already and knew who will be guarded. I just can't pull the trigger as I feel I betrayed my country if I do so lol.

Next stop for the Gilas is the FIBA Asia Cup which will be held in Indonesia next month and I wonder who will be in the final roster as this will be the real thing that they have prepared for.

Gilas was massacred. They kept up with the game until halftime but the Dominican Republic outscored them at 3rd until the end and never have a chance to come back. Although it's already expected that they are the underdog and might lose in that game, their performance got weaken after being outscored. If only they got a chance to close the game, another surprised again by the PH.

But the cadets are doing good so far. It's a good experience to lose.

Just by going there and representing our country knowing that they are very young is a huge achievement for them already.
Lets take note that they are up against players that have many experience in World Cup already. Some are even NBA players and some are just the best players in their country.

They have nothing to lose out there since going there to represent is already a win for them. Nothing but commend and respect for these young players and still respect for their coach . We fought until the end but it looks like it wasn't enough. Few years from now, most of these players will be the ones who will represent our country again in the next FIBA World Cup .

My personal opinion here, I think NP will not even make it to the playoffs, they can't by trusting Slaughter only.

It should be the SMB, BGSM, and Magnolia who will be the favorites to win the championship.

A tough path for Gilas but they already prove that even with a young lineup, they have that power to compete.

I thought the game will be close throughout the game as entering the 3rd quarter, the score is close but the Dominicans showed what really they are.

Congratulations to them and goodluck on their future games.

That's okay. Gilas showed what they can and at least they've shown to the world that they can give teams a hard time. This is always going to be remembered and these experiences will count towards the future possibility of Gilas going to the Olympics. Hopefully, they can and there's going to be a representative for the sports of basketball.

After the Gilas performances, now it's time to go back to the discussion for the upcoming PBA games. And thank you for these updates as it's good to know that if their plan A fails, they're going to have another plan that's already set as plan B. I thought that the bubble, semi or not will commence somewhere in Batangas because of the leaks that I've seen before but if it's not then that's okay. As long as the games will be back and the fans are waiting for it, we'd love to see how the new players that have been absorbed by every team perform. I hope that they'll get more playing time to showcase their talents and how ready they are once PBA is back.

Bollick is returning, a point forward in Jamie Malonzo and another forward in Troy Rike.

I believe Coach Pido is a good coach and he already did something that we know its impossible years ago when they defeated the top seeded NLEX. I'm not expecting too much with this team but if they will make it into the playoffs then good for them .

We don't know what would be set up until they release the full terms or the actual setup. Whatever we have this coming season, I think it's important that we enjoy it, if the government are still strict in implementing the protocol, we will not be able to go to the venue to watch the game, but at least, the players will be able to go home after the game to see their family. Also, it's very important that as we keep hoping for the new season, the vaccine rollout should continue, so we will be like the NBA that had already allow the crowd to watch games.

They can be accomodated by nearby hotels or any place to stay for the players, I think that they've something like this. If plan A or plan B pushes.
All of them are required to be vaccinated to at least gain confidence as they play the matches and that includes all of the staff that will stay with them together with the management. We'll at least get some idea if they will give us the update how the setup will be, I think that we have to wait until they release it.

I'm thinking that there will be general public games and audiences will be allowed. It's just a wish but for sure it will be the totally limited capacity that needs to follow the protocol set by the IATF. But this news could be an indication that it will get approval to see PBA games inside NCR.

We sure do missed watching with audiences and those fans that have missed to watch live games will surely come and be there present if there's already an approval from the IATF. Of course, the usual protocols are needed to be followed once they've given the signal to the PBA management. And it will surely be loved by most fans and it's going to blow again, since the NBA is on the finals, we're getting the new season for PBA once the finals of the NBA ends. So for most of the basketball fans in our country, the fun never ends if they starts to announce the date of the launching for this upcoming season.
