Sad to see this as the cases are now continuously rising so expect that they will suspend this since NCR is so badly hit by new strains so I expect that this will take long time as the vaccine is not rolling out to the citizen. Hopefully the cases will lower down so that we can see our usual games rolling on its right place.

Sad to see this as the cases are now continuously rising so expect that they will suspend this since NCR is so badly hit by new strains so I expect that this will take long time as the vaccine is not rolling out to the citizen. Hopefully the cases will lower down so that we can see our usual games rolling on its right place.

Let's hope for that as we are anticipating the return of the PBA next month. The timing was really bad, but we have to understand that the government are making everything to at least minimize the rate per day which is rising badly. If it will be in bubble, so bet it, and I hope PBA has the funds to run it successfully as no gate entrance means less revenue.

With the vaccines coming into our country, people are becoming more complacent and overconfident that they are forgetting the protocols that are being imposed.

Now the PBA restart has been postponed because of the ECQ and if this will continue even after this one week ECQ, there is a possibility that the start of the PBA season this year will be postponed again and the worst case scenario is that they will not push through this year.

Regarding the chances if they will open new season this month?? I don't think so knowing that the cases is increasing (steady 9,000 for 3 straight days I think). In the next few months possible if the cases will go down.

He don't need that money in terms of financial as even he won't work he can get that from his dad's allowance. Sir Benjie have 100's of millions in his pocket having few kids to inherit those money that amount is nothing.

No other option, if this lockdown continue the attempt of having new normal setup won't work, they'll be force to proceed and create new bubble set up just to cotinue this league.

And for Andre Paras, P3M for 2 year was already a good deal for him. It could be more than what he's earning in showbiz but overtime it will grow if he performs well.

Yeah right, it depends from how he will perform and what would be the fate of his team, there's always opportunities if he and

the whole squad perform well, maybe additional bonuses will applies to everyone.

As for individual performance, I think that he is going to do good.
Additional bonuses are given when they are performing good and that is common for known good teams but I do not know how it is going for BlackWater.

Blackwater might have some bonus system as well but compared to the bigger names in the PBA like the SMB and TNT, I guess Blackwater bonuses are too small, also, this team is not a championship material, they have not improve and they don't compete very well against the championship team.

In short, they are like a decoy in the PBA, they play for fun and without a goal to be in the championship.

There's nothing to prove to you that you're wrong, chill. It's very known that Blackwater isn't a champion-caliber and likely adopting aspiring superstars and hone them to be more competitive in the future.
As I've said, that it's usual for teams to give bonuses if the player had played and probably if they've seen improved.

Yeah, no doubt about it. He still has a long way to go for his basketball career but we're just waiting on what would be the next move towards him or if there will be a twist and he'll just go back, we don't know.

Just a bit correction, it's not Luzon but only on a few provinces including the Metro Manila, wherein now become a hotspot. Yes, there's always a chance that PBA will commence next month but that would be held at those regions with light restrictions.

But as far as my own observation is concerned, PBA won't push through next month if they will stick to their plan of doing it within the NRC PLUS. Hard to imagine a sudden decline of the confirmed cases within just a month.

And not just the restrictions but as per the article, there are numbers of players that tested positive with the virus resulting in some delays.

I guess its alright at least they know it before they start the new season.

USA has been hard by the corona virus and yet they still resume the NBA, maybe if they can follow the same set up then they can open the new season next month, a bubble would be the last option but an NB like set up is way better, PBA can even minimize the risk against the virus since they don't travel much  like  the NBA players.

I think they should carefully plan this one, because if not, the season might be pause again due to the covid...

Agree. And they don't have to wait for Metro Manila or Rizal (since they planned to use Ynares) to become less restricted or shifted into MGCQ if they planned to open next month but instead, take again the option of doing a bubble setup on the province.

Inside the bubble, if they can do it early, teams will still have time to do the practice which is now halted because it's not allowed now to do so in the Metro. For revenue, then no choice again but to accept that it won't be that much.

I think we can relate it to what happened in their PBA team, Phoenix Fuel Masters wherein after successfully signing Calvin Abueva into a max contract of PhP15M Salary and now a done deal over a month ago, it's a big surprise that they traded him. Cost-cutting indeed.

But the good news is, they assured everyone that they won't leave PBA. So unfortunate as I really eyeing for a non-SMC team to be one of the contenders in the All-Filipino Cup. We see how they explode even without Abueva during the bubble.

During the SPIN.ph Rumor or Fact livecast two days ago, word leaked that TNT will keep the disgruntled star's rights with little or no intention of letting him play in the MVP Group or elsewhere.

In other words, Ray Ray won't be dribbling the official PBA ball - Molten - anytime soon. He will be left on the sidelines agonizing over this alleged blackballing.

Looks like MVP and the PBA is giving him a serious management, they doesn't like what Ray Parks did, so is it good Ray Parks in the PBA?

This is almost the same as the Jericho Cruz issue back years ago when he is still in TNT too and since Ray Parks has a contract with the team, he will suffer the consequences for his wrongdoings.

A very talented player but very unprofessional. He is playing in a professional league so he must play professionally too but his attitudes killed his career. Although its too early to say for that but the fact that MVP doesn't want him to play elsewhere or the PBA ball is a proof that his career might be affected with this.

PBA should just push the bubble setup.

TBH, it will be risky for the league if they will push to start the season at least for now that the cases are surging. They might do what they did last year that it will just be a one season year so that at least they can finish one conference for this year. On the other hand, if there will be signs of case decrease in the next months they might push through it and start the season immediately.
