it does not give a good image to the PBA as they are making one team a super team while majority of the teams are bad teams.

This is nothing new with PBA. We've seen super teams that are being allowed by the league and I think if there are other teams that would do it, they would be glad to allow it. We're just seeing the same teams again and again to have such good talents.

But it's not good for the future of the PBA, this league will be boring and if we compare it in the past, the current PBA league is not as good in the past as we have a lot of loyal fans, and we see that by the number of fans in the arena. This time is different, it looks like there's a manipulation inside and it's always been the biggest team who wins the title.

I will not be surprise if PBA will get dismantled in future since they really make this as a business and the entertainment side is eliminated there are big companies are keep accumulating big stars which is unfair to the other team and that makes the game predictable so I guess. Maybe they should act about this issues since if they continue to act like this for sure other leagues will step up specially the japan B-league are active accumulating the Filipino players and might the attention of the crowd will go there to support the foreign team since there are filipino blooded players playing there.  I know this is far since japan and Philippines is different but looks like japan league will boost its popularity since they are targeting the whole asian market.

That's correct, they need to have an overhaul of the current system, it's very obvious that it's not working as it's very easy to predict what team will win. More teams will make it a more competitive league, and please don't allow one company to own many teams, that is not good for the competition as they can fix games in favor of the a certain team they owned.

The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) is now optimistic that it can open its much-delayed 46th Season this month, play two conferences and give this country another sporting event to look forward to until January next year.

If this will be approved, we will see two conferences this season, but I'm wondering, will there be import in the next conference as I'm sure the first one is all Filipino Cup.

Fans might still be watching, but they'll only be watching the super team which is the Ginebra, SMB, TNT, Magnolia, and the Hotshots.

What else do we expect? considering that those super teams already established long term fans who still willing to support the game.

Where would the other teams go then? I mean what are their chances, they'll only be a farm team and rumors could be true.

yeah right, such rumors are already been exposed only those who don't nderstand how things works will still believe that that thing is not existing inside this league.

Though we are disappointed, it is what it is, this is how the PBA works, it's influence by the rich teams and nothing could stop their greediness as this is probably their own league.

They continue to dominate since they own the majorities not unless leagues of governors start to decide not in favor of this big businesses. We don't know if that may happen but hopefully the voice of the fans will also considered not just the money that they are collecting.

I heard about Robert Bollick rumor but not on Greg. I think it's not good to have Greg in the SMB lineup as they still have JMF, both are high paid players and I believe that would already be over the salary cap if they are still implementing it, also, it does not give a good image to the PBA as they are making one team a super team while majority of the teams are bad teams.

Just minutes after I posted that SMB is very interested in Slaughter and Bolick, below rumors (as they are not official) pop up on my social media news feed. I'm an SMB fan but seeing these two gentle giants playing in one team seems to be a joke for me as we all know that "height is might" in the PBA. Even if you are not that talented but you are a 7-footer, you've got a place in the PBA.

With these two giants within the roster, SMB will be an automatic champion as it's not necessary that they'll play together, they can enjoy a good rest and perform their very best. Both players can average a double-double as the play will be focused on them, and with some explosive back court, I have no doubt this team will dominate.

MMDA is in favor of going back to the league and they've already said that they're going to help with the application and I think the chance and approval is already. It's only a matter of time and approval from the IATF and I think that they're for sure going to approve the application.

You are right. PBA has a high chance to start this year but it's just a matter of When.

With lots of meetings, recommendations, suggestions, discussions, I'm sure all the efforts won't go to waste.

The only obstacles are those health groups like OCTA research if they overreact to the daily confirmed cases of the virus which is should be usual as we already know how to fight with it as long as we follow properly the health protocol. They are the one who keeps some things halted because they are putting too much alarm on the daily cases. As of yesterday, the additional cases were 5,000+.

I might need to put the cable again of our television just to watch PBA games again even though I find some games to be boring .

Well, there is no stopping it. The PBA will start at July 16. I'm happy that they are able to start it even though we are in a pandemic but with this, I will just hope that no bad things will ever happen such as a family member of a player being positive or a player himself or staffs getting the virus. Being vaccinated doesn't mean that you are 100% immune to the virus and we've seen some getting the virus even though they are vaccinated. Overall I'm just happy to see this

That's wrong, the NBA Finals' last game will be on July 23 if this series will reach game 7 and July 21 if it's until game 6 only. So we will be enjoying the return of the PBA while we can still enjoy watching the NBA Finals. I can't even read news regarding this, but there's a lot of speculation you can find on Facebook and some on youtube from our sports fans that has a youtube channel. We are just also speculating here, and we have discussed in the previous page that Greg is bad for SMB as they have JMF who is currently their best player, and with that, SMB will easily dominate the paint as these two rivals will now help each other to dominate.
