A source told SPIN.ph that the flamboyant PBA star guard received a US$2.7-million contract spread over three years by one of the B.League teams.

Romeo declined, even if the offer is way more than what he receives in the PBA, where the maximum salary for players is P420,000 ($8,400) a month, excluding bonuses and other perks.

Maybe becuase that  time he just got married and he's first born was on it's way to see the world, or he's contented with the  money that he currently have.

But who knows, that amount of money is really something and if I remember it right, not just Terrence but also Calvin also got that same chance but he also choose to stay and play inside PBA.

Now, both players have good stand playing with well known franchise that surely gives them the perks that they'll really enjoy.

It's very timely, the fun will never stop because the moment the NBA Finals is over, we still have the PBA Season to follow.
Hopefully, everything will be okay and the PBA will get approval from the IATF on their plans.

If everything went smoothly then expect that the new season will start this month, we are all waiting for this
and yes NBA only got 7 games, only if both teams will try to pushed and extend the series.

He's being treated well. Yes, he has found a home with his current team and there's also a probable bind with the contract and that's why he declined. Now we see those known players that it's not just about the money but there's a strong connection between him, his team, and the boss. In the article, he said that he owes a lot to their boss, RSA. This means that there are still players that won't leave what the team has treated well. Salute to Terrence for having that mindset and gratitude.

He's being treated well. Yes, he has found a home with his current team and there's also a probable bind with the contract and that's why he declined. For me, it's the Ginebra if they will have C. Stand healthy this coming season, but I would also consider the Magnolia hotshots as they are a solid team, and getting Calvin is a big boost to their defense and offense, they are my 2nd favorite to win the title this season.

I agree because, for the sake of real entertainment, other teams have to be exciting to watch as well.
If SMB will acquire Greg which they can, that would make Northport a bad team.

I doubt the salary cap is still followed, I guess one of the PBA personalities had already tackled that before, and I have a feeling that the board can't do anything about it as they are controlled by the team owners of the PBA, most particularly the SMB and TNT which are the big teams.

I'm an SMB fan but seeing these two gentle giants playing in one team seems to be a joke for me as we all know that "height is might" in the PBA. Even if you are not that talented but you are a 7-footer, you've got a place in the PBA.

Knowing the capability of the SMB group of companies in acquiring their target players, they always got it no matter what.

I can't remember a time that SMB was being declined or vetoed by the PBA for their trade proposal.

I'm not really familiar with him but I've seen this news and that makes me feel happy that B League seems to scout a lot of players from our country.

Fans might still be watching, but they'll only be watching the super team which is the Ginebra, SMB, TNT, Magnolia, and the Hotshots. Where would the other teams go then? I mean what are their chances, they'll only be a farm team and rumors could be true. Though we are disappointed, it is what it is, this is how the PBA works, it's influence by the rich teams and nothing could stop their greediness as this is probably their own league.

Yes, it's not good for the future of it. And just like now, they probably have been getting the thoughts of their fans that they're no longer the same as before and they need to make a lot of changes. I think that has led them with the new policies that have been released lately including the max salary cap for the rookies and other changes that they've made. But that's not enough as per the demand of the fans. AFAIK, there's one guy that has expressed his thoughts about how the league became scripted and they choose who's going to win the finals per season.
