I thought NLEX belongs to the MVP group, so they should also be given players that could compete with the big teams in the PBA. Correct me if I'm wrong, I just writing based on the result of my research. Maybe Coach Yeng cannot replicate the success he had during his time with the ROS, and comparing ROS to his team now, I guess NLEX is a bigger team, and yet he is less successful here compared to handling the ROS as a head coach before.

Though NLEX belong to the MVP group of companies, still they have to get into a normal process of getting more talented players and i think what frustrate coach Yeng is that TNT is the priority of the three MVP teams and NLEX is somewhat a farm team at the moment. I won't be surprised if K. Ravena would be traded to TNT in case Mikey Williams can't fulfill the duty that is expected of him.

For me, I think it's the Ginebra San Miguel, why? because they have C. Stand.

Aguilar and C. Stand playing together, they will make a tough team, I'm really excited to see how things will work out for them this season.

If you will see the roster of each team only, you will see the that line up of Ginebra San Miguel is the best so I will choose them as the best PBA team for this year.

Overall, acquiring CStand in Ginebra is a big addition to their firepower already. We already saw that they won a championship without him and now they got a reliable big. I'm a SMB fan but with JMF still not 100% healthy, I don't think that they have a chance in winning a title.

On the other hand though, I don't want to expect too much on Ginebra because after all the ball is round. We've seen different teams that have a good roster but ending up disappointing their fans.

It's not as simple as you think. The market in PBA is so big that it can reach lots of people for the advertisement so a big money is needed before being allowed to be part of the PBA team (in case of expansion). And those organizations should prove that they can shoulder the cost of managing a team.

In 2019, Alaska owner says the cost of maintaining a PBA team is around P85 million and that’s just the basic operating expenses of a team that isn’t performing well. That cost is built around salaries of players, the coaching staff, and members of the support team: Practice players, ball boys, medical personnel, therapists and statisticians. Then there are the other yearly expenses like team uniforms for games and practices, training equipment, scouting equipment, rental of gyms for practices, allowances for out-of-town trips, food before and after every game and practice and other things that may crop up like medical emergencies. link

That's the reason why before being allowed in the league, a company or organization should have at least prove their financial capability.

Very easy to say that they should add more teams, I think this has been a discussion and issue before but it's hard to get to that point. That's why teams are called franchise before the process of being on it is hard.
And as you notice, the remaining franchises are also coming from the top companies in the country. I agree to goinmerry that maintaining a team is very expensive and it's not that PBA don't like to add other teams but team owners find it expensive to get in.

We can compare it to the difference between GMA and ABS-CBN in advertisement placing. ABS-CBN has a larger market compared to GMA that's why they charged more if some companies want to air a commercial on this station. In GMA, the cost is much lesser but on their primetime hits like Eat Bulaga, the cost will be different.

Back to PBA, they successfully built their reputation and gained a big audience over time. Being listed as a PBA team, the brand will be popular and advertised more. That's why a new team should have to pay a big listing fee as the brand will be exposed to PBA's big audience. Better than being only on a 30 secs duration of commercial at TV stations.

He already is a TNT Katropa as of this writing. The good thing about this, is that he realized that there is a limitation in the PBA and admits that he has to prove his worth first before demanding anything above standard.

"I understand the limitations of the salary cap and I know I have to prove my worth first before I can put myself in a position to command a higher salary when this fresh contract expires."

Is he better than Parks? I think no because if he is then he should be the number one pick overall or at least number two. They were already scouted and if he is that good then i think Dyip would have drafted him instead of Munson, just me saying  .

Luckily for players who got injured when pandemic is happening they don't get any pressure to returb back immediately they have long time rest to heal. Its more exciting indeed the season opening since its interesting to see how rookie perform on their first official gameplay in PBA.

I'm already thinking it too that this league is just a competition between SMC and MVP because in the past years, if you will see the teams who are fighting in the Finals are either coming from MVP or SMC or worse both of the teams are coming from one team. TBH, this destroys the competition of the league and this is also the reason why there aren't that much audience watching anymore. On the other hand, I don't want to compare PBA with MPBL though. People are smarter and they know what's going on probably but when there is money, there is no smarter .

That's ok if that's your preference, mine is to look after the first few games of those rookies. But I think that there's nothing much to expect from them but still, I'd love to see them how to play.

Yes PBA has shareholders that are supporting I agree with what you said and they are the ones who are preventing other companies to join the league .
With regards to schedule, I think that they can do something to adjust that thing. The only problem that I'm seeing why they aren't other new teams is the fact that these "shareholders" are preventing it.

We're all excited with PBA coming back and I've seen a post on Facebook regarding the BOD planning regarding the resume of the season this year. That is the start .
