The good thing with this coverage on Facebook is we still can watch the replay if we miss the live broadcast of those games. I'm not watching PBA games on TV5 anymore as it usually conflicts with my work schedule so I just go to Facebook and see those pages that broadcast them live. FB live has a lot of usage for us today especially those busy ones like me  .

That's true, for people busy that don't have time to watch at the exact time. There's always a way to watch it through replays on certain pages not just from the official ones but also those folks that are posting it on their pages and even on YouTube. I don't know but I'm sure that's not being tolerated so let's just support the official channels and partners of PBA about replays and livestreaming. But if you get to watch the actual game at the exact time, well, that makes you more updated before someone watches the replay.

I've checked both Facebook pages and I saw the live videos of the first games. Nice information, thanks. We are just used to watch on One Sports Facebook page or on their Youtube Channel but they aren't doing it anymore.

I will also bookmark those pages. Is it just me but these pages are new to me but they are legit sports group pages. Why I didn't even read it shared by someone on my newsfeed.

First game is over and the Aces won against the BlackWater Bossing 103-77. A one sided match indeed. I don't know if I'm the only one who thought about it but the roster of the BW Bossing isn't a championship caliber. Like see their roster, no superstar, just all average players that is why when I saw this roster on FB I already saw some comments telling that this team will be in the last spot on the eliminations. I'm not belittling them still but just seeing their roster, I don't know if they will be able to enter at least to the playoffs. Any takeaways??

I expect Alaska would win but I didn't expect it will be a blowout win by the Alaska Aces. Blackwater is not a championship team, it's okay to belittle them anyway as rumors said they are just a farm team, so they don't have a superstar. This team was only fun to watch when Ray Parks was still playing, but now he's gone in this team, and in the PBA, they are now a boring team.

Maybe this is also the reason why the owner of Blackwater decided to sell their franchise because they are being used as a farm team by other teams.
Anyway, its obvious that they really are when they traded Ray Parks to some average players which is for me kinda unequal trade.

Unfortunately, there's no live streaming in this game, I think they prefer not to show it so we will just watch on our TV, and that advertisers will benefit more. I don't know really, this is the first time after many seasons that PBA has no live streaming.

For TV5 during Wednesday and Friday games, they will only broadcast the 2nd and 3rd games due to conflict of schedule on the first game and their noontime show, Launch Out Loud. The same goes for Sunday games as the first game will again conflict with their noontime show, ASAP Natin to!.

I thought that they will not allow livestreaming on Facebook because it might affect their advertisement revenues but it looks like they are still doing some livestreaming.
Now that our TV has been fixed, I will not watch livestream anymore . Watched the 3 games yesterday and it looks good at least knowing that it is the first games of the season.

I saw the 4th quarter and it was really a close game, I didn't expect Magnolia will cover the spread, but that's the game, sometimes you are lucky, sometimes you are not, so I would say congratulations to you bisdak40 , you have some blessing on your mistake.

That was a great start by the Magnolia, Calvin is really a real deal, he had some awkward fall when he get the offensive rebound and shot the ball, but he is okay so I'm happy with that, we need the Beast to be in this series as he is very energetic and that would make the game more exciting.

The reason for that low scoring game is because TNT has only shot 10% from 3 point line, it was a bad 3 point shooting game for them with only 3 made shots of 28 attempts. We can check the stats of this specific match. https://pba.ph/recap?match=1902565

Thanks for the information, I check the stats and I confirmed their shooting is really low, anyway, they still win, that's what matters and if their shots are falling, that could be a big win by the TNT. I guess they didn't cover the spread as they only win by 7 points while the spread was -7.5.

Well, kinda expected knowing that it is his first game after more than a year. Lets give him some time to go back to what he was before the injury. Like I said already, there is this "What if I will get reinjured again" question in his mind and that might affect his game and his performance in general.

On the other hand, it is just their first game but Romeo hyperextended his knee causing him to leave the game but its not only him that got injured because Chris Ross got an ankle injury too. First game and they got 2 injuries already. I don't know but maybe this is the time for CJ Perez to shine because of these injuries .

I don't expect a lot from Fajardo on that game because I knew his minutes will be managed as he is coming from an injury. I don't know when he will be basketball ready, for now, we will just wait and see who their opponent and might bet for their opponent if the odds are attractive.

I might change strategy in this early stage of elimination and bet for the underdogs for a 2.5+ odds because in this stage, top teams are adjusting and they can afford to lose a game or two so let's exploit that hehe.

If TNT has improved their defense, then they might be able to limit Calvin Abueava, however, I don't see anyone from their line up that could match the energy of Abuea on the floor if they will just play one on one. There are no odds right because the game is on Wednesday and the odds might be available Tuesday night.

Good news for SMB fans.

SMB fears eased as Terrence Romeo spared from major knee injury

TERRENCE Romeo made a cryptic post suggesting the injury he suffered in San Miguel's opening game in the PBA Philippine Cup was not a major one.

The veteran guard posted on Instagram Story a simple 'thank you' note accompanied by three praying emojis, a few hours after undergoing MRI test on the left knee he injured in the Beermen's season debut against Meralco.

"Thank you Lord so much!!!" read the IG story of the San Miguel star.

This means he will be back soon, I think what he suffered is like the injury of Giannis Antetokounmpo during the Bucks vs Hawks series, but he is fine now, back to being a beast.

@mirakal thanks for sharing the good news, last time Romeo was not able to finish the season because of injury, and now he was injured in their very first game lose, it will be another disappointing season for him if he got a serious injury problem. SMB needs Terrence energy in the court to win, though they got JMF back already he is still not playing with his average minutes when he is healthy, so they need someone to step up.

They can still win a championship even if they end up in the last standing, that's how good the SMB is, they might struggle at the start but they'll when they start winning, that will be consistent. JMF playing some limited minutes is okay because it will take time to get back his confidence and dominate inside again, remember, he is not the best player in the PBA for nothing, his records and achievement already proved it.
