Indeed... I remember the creator of primeGPU said that it will go open source (or at least one of the plans?) if faster miners come out  Grin
... and we are not able to speed-up ours any further. Which is not the case.

Just so everyone knows, there is a new Primecoin GPU miner out. It's only 33% faster than primeGPUs miner on a 280x.  Wink Pool fee is 10%.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=598542.0

Except the pool is always down and you cant mine, and it has no solo mining.

Go shit in some one else's thread.

The pool and miner was just released to the public yesterday. Give it a few more days, and I'm sure it'll have the reliability of ypool. I like ypool; but it's a fact that they control over 51% of the hashing power for Primecoin, leaving it susceptible to a 51% attack on their part (however unlikely that they would want to in the first place). Just trying to spark some healthy competition.

madMAx has release the XPM gpu miner as open source now: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=602292.0 .

So, I did remember the mentioning of open sourcing your miner if someone made theirs faster. Also to boot, they open sourced it.

I guess, well that was not the point, it was the principal in the mentioning of that. Thanks for doing what you could.

Good luck in the future on money making endeavors.

You are being too nice. Suck it primeGPU .. am I glad not to have put coins into trashbin. Talk is cheap, no updates till now to prove your point.

So now, perhaps you can speed it up with madMax's code.. Congrats.

That's the way I am; civil, honest, humble and respectful.

Lucky I made 4x the XPM when I bought the miner on day 2 of the release. I do feel bad for the late people buying it.

I have written the preliminary section for Primecoin XPM.  I need help from the Primecoin community in order to complete the history section.  Several important historical points for XPM are needed.

What is the main slogan for XPM?

Any donations to the project are highly welcome AJjzXu6SDSH7oS2uM6NfJmHE8qyx5CJ2ts

Not entirely sure what that's suppose to mean. What I do know is that, this miner is dead. The latest XPM miner is shelling out 4.9 CPD on a 280x at 1100. Shocked. Even if this miner gets open sourced, nobody would use it. The fee-free version of the miner is shelling out 3.9 at 1100.

Our miner is not the fastest for like 4 or 5 days. It's very far from being dead.

While i agree he could be a little more transparent with ETA's on updates and such. People really need to chill out. Let this guy work. He knows his miner is not the fastest, he's working on a pool version and this is probably not his 24/7 job.

He's probably an average Joe like you or me with a Family and a normal 9-5 work schedule. Cut him some slack.

its obvious u dont pay attention to this thread its a team not a single person he has always used we and were not i and if you are going to charge for a license like he did there is no slack to cut its fee based now but not to the many including my self who paid 35xpm per gpu

Agreed..

I guess we are just trying to keep these guys accountable cause wordsmith, loophole all you want there has been little updates optimizations and feedback relations from this team so its understandable that many are just uneasy but i'm hopeful their miner is more relevant in and around diff 11 which seems like its going to be sooner rather then later
