The Super Eagles will always remain the team not to expect much from even if we have the best line-up. We are dominating the game but without reasonable result. Benin are comfortable leaving us to move the ball around, but they know exactly what they want whenever they get the ball, they simply just want to cut through the Nigerian defense and score goals. They have had success with doing that once, they can do it again if Nigerian players do not show more composure.
Did you see the clear header Osimhen missed? Although it was cancel for offside, it still does not take it away that he missed it.

The results that the Super Eagles are given pot this against the Benin is what I didn't expect from them, because I was having a lot of hope for them that they can find this match to win without undergo a lot, but the game has become very difficult for the Super Eagles to win. Honestly,  Benin are comfortable leading us to by moving the ball. But with the way the game is moving on now, I'm having confidence that they will be able to equalize back, which means if they put much effort into their performances.

Because Nigeria still have more chances of winning the match, even though the match is about to end, and since they are able to lead the possessions Benin only by goal, Nevertheless, let's wait and see what the outcome will be from the Nigerian.

Our striker came back from injury and scored a fantastic goal in the last minutes of the game to give Nigeria the equalizer. This shows how much the Super Eagles need Victor Osimhen fit and able to play. This game may likely end in a 1-1 draw, it’s not the result I expected but it’s better than losing to Benin.

The super Eagles have been able to find the back of the net 🥅 from a beautiful header by the galatasaray talisman Victor Osimhen, though the super Eagles started on a slow part, but they've been able to come into the game fully, controlling the ball from the midfield and pushing for more goals, just that the time they equalised to make it 1-1 was a bit too late, but having an away draw isn't too much of a bad idea after all, at least they are the Group D leader with 11 points clear.

Finally they have played 1-1 which is better than the 1-0. And after today game, on the 18th of November this month they Super Eagles will play with Rwanda and that will another interesting game to watch. Many Super Eagles supporters were saying today match would be a sure game for Super Eagles but they have forgotten that Benin Republic is also a train team so Super Eagles can't just come and defeat them like that. One thing that make a team strong is the coach and the coach in Benin Republic Football Team was a coach for the super Eagles and he is very good in coaching.
Victor Osimhen saved the Super Eagles today. Benin Republic would have taken the glory. In the group D. Nigeria is on top while Benin Republic is in the second position Rwanda and Libya last.

I’m not happy with the result but I’m glad that Victor Osimhen is back from injury and is able to play for us again. Nigeria was able to get an equalizer because of Osimhen, I doubt we would have scored a goal if our fate was in the hands of Victor Boniface. Though I would have loved to see Boniface score a goal for the Super Eagles just to see his goal celebration, I’m want to see if he will do the Balthasar dance lol.

My bro you don't need to be surprised about the difference between their performance in their clubs and for their country. Every damm thing is different. You know that in their clubs they have more playing times with their team mates and they have been able to understand how each team mate plays compared to the national team where they only converge whenever there is a match and they only get to train together for 2 -  3 days before the main match. And even when they are called upon to play again, they may be playing with a totally different team mate. You can see that the difference is too much to expect such stellar performance in their club for their national team.

For Nigerians now I believe it doesn't get bigger than victor osimhen, the guy is just absolutely phenomenal. He single handedly changed the whole context of the turkey leagues upon his arrival as he have being making waves and scoring spectacular goals over there and that same form is what all Nigerians are prayer for because Victor can really change the outcome of the game or even the tournament as a whole if he is in his stride.

I didn't see today's game but I did caught a glimpse of the scoreline early in the first half when Benin was ahead with 1-goal. I can't say I'm disappointed because my expectations were already low but I'm really glad we managed to settle for draw. Better draw than a loss. But again, judging by these disappointing stats, we really need to do better. Most of our players are playing in elite leagues yet we struggle against teams like this. I will see the highlights later but so far the last 3 games, I'm not impressed.

I understand that we all expected to see a better performance from the Super Eagles team seeing the level of players we have got in the team but then the national team football doesn't guarantee us good football most times especially when you play from away. Firstly, I think the Super Eagles underestimated the performance of Benin Republic because we defeated them in Nigeria and they gave us a shocking welcome by opening the score in the early minutes of the game, they created more chances despite not converting most of them but the Nigerian team defended very well and was able to control the ball possession in the second half and at the end Victor Osimhen levelled the score line to 1:1 and the game ended.

Part of the reason why I think the Super Eagles team didn't take the game seriously is the fact that they got the news that they had already qualified following the defeat of Rwanda by Libya, I believe the information made him to play with caution since they already qualified.

Victor Osimhen keeps getting better every day of his career. His consistency at scoring is something that sets him apart and makes him appear to be operating in a different planet. It is now obvious that he is a great players whose success is never a mere coincidence but a product of talent and dedication. I was actually feeling so bad that Nigeria could not win Benin Republic but realizing Osimhen scored made me feel much better, so I forgive Nigeria for yet another poor outing tonight.

I stopped watching in the first half when things were not going well for the Eagles. Victor Osimhen was not phenomenal in the first half. Infact, he missed an obvious free header that annoyed me the more, coupled with the goalies error.

It was after the match that I saw Victor's name in the score sheet by 80+, selling a 1 point which is better than non in the match.
That is for the match, but in general, Osimhen is fire and he has lightened the Turkish league.

Sure, it's better than losing, do you know that when victor osimhen is not on the field of play, the Nigerian team lack that point man presence upfront and that is what most oppositions team feared the most, and when he is on the field of play, the opposing team defensive lineup wouldn't be that comfortable all through because he will definitely punish you if you made any mistake, added with the physical presence he brings to the team, so we are definitely stronger when he is on the pitch.

Then as for our overall performance, though we did pretty fine yesterday, but their are some players I wasn't pleased with their performance, players like iwobi, bassey that was constantly losing ball and our senior man kelechi ihianacho who I thought would be a plus to the team, but yesterday, he was nothing to write home about, but in all this, I thank God that we have qualify automatic with two more games to spare.

If not because of Osimhen I don't think Nigeria would not ended the game draw against Benin, Osimhen showed that he is the man who always shows up, Benin scored in the first half of the game and Nigeria scored in the 81 minutes of the game which shows that Nigeria was lucky that Osimhen score that goal yesterday, from the look of the players that start the match for Nigeria yesterday you will see that Nigeria will find it difficult to win the match because how can a coach play with five defenders, two midfield and use one wing player with two strikers against Benin?

Benin is not that strong and Nigeria's coach should not use the style to play, that game is supposed to have a midfield that can humble the midfield of Benin, if this coach uses the same pattern to play against big cou that has a good midfield they will humble Nigeria, and I think the coach should try and bench Iwobi in some matches because I don't see what he did for Nigeria, he doesn't use to play well like the way he did in Fulham.

 I know a draw is better than a loss but look at Nigerians celebrating a draw like it's a big something and to a side that on a normal day should not even see the back of our net. I don't see any threatening team in Nigeria's group yet they found themselves struggling to secure point.
 Like I said earlier, if we find it hard defeating small countries and celebrate when we get draws against them, how will it be for us when we meet countries of our calibre? Or should I say those who are stronger cause I don't know if I should say Nigeria is still a strong country.

this is the poorest form the super eagles have been since the start of the AFCON qualifiers. Even though they saw that they had already qualified for the AFCON, that's still not enough reason to allow Benin republic outplay then the manner they did. What if Libya didn't give us all three point in the away game? We would have been struggling to qualify with these teams we have in our group?

Every one of the  players played lousy football and even osimehn, he had a clean and clear chance of scoring a first goal but couldn't make good use of his chance untill the Benin republic side had to score us first and then the late equalizer. Boniface on the other hand can't play well in African football. He's a slow attacker and that's not the kind of energy you want to use when you're playing against the teams we will meet in the AFCON. A draw is not a bad result considering that the mentality of the player is already fixed that regardless of the outcome of the game there was nothing to loose but even at that, with the players we had on the pitch, they were never to outplay us that way.

Nigeria officially qualified but truth be told, yesterday performance wasn't a top notch from our men. Perhaps, they relaxed and play with less zeal knowing that they're qualified already but there is room for improvement because they still have a lot of work to do. Our defense and midfield is not solid enough to rely on in a tournament as tough as AFCON.

Thou, I'm not seeing enough creativity in our midfield as it suppose to be and they lose possession easily to opponent. We need a creative player in that midfield who can distribute ball to our strikers at every given time. We don't solely need to rely on our wingers to do all the working before we can score. Eguavoen needs to improve tactically but I most commend how he managed his substitutions timely.

You have a point, it’s the way they play that is not giving them the total superiority that everyone wants, they always have control in terms of possession but then they have the problem of creating chances for their attackers, it is as though the midfielders are only there to make safe passes without any creativity from them that way it is very easy to defend against Nigeria. From onset Nigeria actually lacks a creative midfielder but that aside, even with this kind of quality players they should have been able to win Benin. Osimhen is human too and will definitely miss some chances but we know without him we will definitely get no where and Boniface is not the kind of striker Nigeria can rely on so with What Osimhen gives us in the team we should appreciate him because it is still him or Lookman that we can count on.
