CAF sanctioned Libya again with the sum of $50,000 for the misconduct against Benin Republic. CAF also ordered them to play two matches under close door, meaning not in public. CAF sanctioned them because of the misbehavior against Benin Republic in Benghazi on November 18, 2024.
The problem Libyan football is facing is politically motivated. The country is controlled by two governments which has caused conflicting policies. I suspect that it was the military controlled territory that delayed the Super Eagles from leaving the airport. The maltreatment of the Benin side which even led to the injury of the coach is condemnable and it shows that they have not really learned their lessons. These multiple sanctions will affect  their ranking and the development of football in Libya.

The same problem Libyans are facing now may be the same thing the Nigerians may be facing any time soon, because they are having a divided country already due to the political influence and the power tussle for the survival of the fittest, though this is not what we pray for them to have, but we should always see to the way coordination and living in peace and harmony could lead to other progress within the country, Libya is already divided and we should not expect things like this not to happen with them, since everyone over there is now dealing with factions, we should not allow politics come into sport and among our people, just for a peaceful coexistence.

At this point it has gone to show that Libya don't want to play good football. They should face a temp ban for their repeated misconduct.
Enough of the sanctioning from CAF, it is serving no good all notice how the fine imposed on them is nothing but a small change and then they continue with their misbehaviour.

The same problem Libyans are facing now may be the same thing the Nigerians may be facing any time soon, because they are having a divided country already due to the political influence and the power tussle for the survival of the fittest, though this is not what we pray for them to have, but we should always see to the way coordination and living in peace and harmony could lead to other progress within the country,

I think in the social events football is the event that brings people together.and know more countries in the world. Because of football those who would not travelled to other countries have done that and made new friends. And it increases countries economy if the country won a medal and through there tourist would like to visit the country. Libya will loss many things if they are ban. Now people will see them as arrogant people that doesn't accept corrections and misbehave in the international social interaction and for that they will be removed from other sports. Libya would have conducted themselves very well to participate but this misconduct will lead them to a big problem.

CAF fails to understand or is blind to the glaring danger in front of them from the Libya national team.that will not act until it's too late when they start adopting these players or committing harm since it's obvious that they hate the fact that we're blacks and live on the continent as them.

The next Super Eagles game will reveal a lot though; we will see if there is any bad blood really in the team. I hope the coach plays Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen. If there is bad blood, it will be difficult to hide, and it will affect the team's performance even more.
Players are good at hiding their feelings on the pitch, they may be having a bad blood and still still play well together and not letting their personal feelings affect the team's performance. They're professional and will keep their job that way.
It is called a team for a reason; if there is bad blood between players, team performance must be affected. It may be difficult for everyone to observe the discord between players, but the few individuals with very good observing eyes will notice it. Like I said before, the next Super Eagles game will reveal a lot.

CAF fails to understand or is blind to the glaring danger in front of them from the Libya national team.that will not act until it's too late when they start adopting these players or committing harm...
As extreme as it sounds, it is not impossible. CAF needs to act because if it gets to that, it will be a big headline that will be talked about for years to come. CAF has the opportunity to make sure that that doesn't happen.

I disagree with you concerning what you said about Nigeria having similar issues with Libya, the Nigerian football federation is not involved in any political activity, however there is no political instability happening in Nigeria at the moment, and there has not been any kind of divide wether political or otherwise happening in Nigeria now, I'm speaking as a Nigerian that stays and do business in Nigeria, so I wonder where this assertion of a divided country is coming from.  I will agree with you about the issues happening in Libya as the situation has gone beyond control and has affected their football competitions in most cases, is an unfortunate situation but I believe CAF can find a way to help and salvage the situation by making sure all Libya games should be played outside Libya until a time when stability will return back to the country.

Libya again? I support CAF decision, the punishment should have included banning Libya from participating in any African tournament for a period of three years. Such sanctions would not only highlight the seriousness of their actions but also send a strong message to other nations and teams that misconduct will not be tolerated in any form or manner. I think this approach would ensure that the integrity and value of African football is preserved.

Not again, is becoming a natural habit for Libya, however I wanted to read for myself what they have really done wrong this time around but I couldn't get the actual thing they did but I'm just seeing a bad conduct against the Benin Republic, however how would the two close indoor matches going to be played?, wouldn't they play with opponents?, sorry to ask because this is the first time I'm seeing club on this league playing close indoor match, however if they continue breaking the law they might get something more serious than $50k in the time to come.

This is a very good idea and I don't want to believe CAF doesn't have this idea or have not think in this direction because they have got a team of experienced and well informed technical and organising experts who they cam consult within Africa and the rest of the world who can give them good and better appraisal to addressing all of this.

Implementation of these suggestions will be another challenge they will face so its actually beyond just needing these suggestions, it can be possible they have gotten all of these suggestions but are finding way of a smooth and actual perfect Implementation.

Close door matches are played without spectators and fans as a punishment of misconduct or misbehavior of the team or the fans of the team. I have not also witnessed a closed door matches but I believed it should a local field or a match without informing the public and it will take play unaware. And it is only the two management teams are present. The misconduct was clearly reported that, the Libyan football team coach and Libyan Police officers in the field attacked the Benin Republic Football Team players when the referee had blown the final whistle.
I don't understand why politics should affect the footballing sector of a country. Libyans should not allow their divided political system to interfere with sports. Football has the capability to unite people regardless of their differences. Sports especially football often serve as a platform for national unity and pride. Allowing political divisions to to impact the sport could hinder its development and deprive the country from the joy and unity that football brings.

Punishment by fines no longer suit as chastisement to Libya, closed door games and whatever was agreed doesn't seem to change the negative system in the Libyan football federation. If they can afford fines then it becomes less of their problem and they exhibit as a habit, I recommend a temporal ban likely in one of the African competitions, punishment needs to be served to an extent where it doesn't need to be agreed upon by the defaulters.

Libyan Football Association is ready to pay any fine and continue their misbehavior in the football sport. What Libya football team is doing was done by a local football teams in my community which I have seen in many times but here an international national team is displaying in the international sport field.  I was not expecting Libya to continue this after the misconduct with Nigerian Team and the fine CAF game them at that time.
And this their continues behavior show that they are not ready to stop that nonsense and they are fully ready to face any fine and continue their act.

It is called a team for a reason; if there is bad blood between players, team performance must be affected. It may be difficult for everyone to observe the discord between players, but the few individuals with very good observing eyes will notice it. Like I said before, the next Super Eagles game will reveal a lot.

There was extremely a bad blood between Ronaldo and Rooney and yet played together for years like nothing happened. Didn't let their personal live affects the way the team played.

As extreme as it sounds, it is not impossible. CAF needs to act because if it gets to that, it will be a big headline that will be talked about for years to come. CAF has the opportunity to make sure that that doesn't happen.

That country are currently in a power tusles and shouldn't be allowed to host foreigners on their land.

There are stages of punishment that can be used as a deterrent for misconduct. The Libyan Football Federation should be wary of higher sanctions like ban from all competitions. Libyan football teams have shown a high level of indiscipline when they also treated the national team of Benin badly. The Beninese coach Gernot Rohr was even attacked by the Libyan players. The seventy-one years old had to be treated for injuries he sustained. I predict that they will be banned if they continue with such misbehavior.

You can check the full story] here

Not again, is becoming a natural habit for Libya, however I wanted to read for myself what they have really done wrong this time around but I couldn't get the actual thing they did but I'm just seeing a bad conduct against the Benin Republic, however how would the two close indoor matches going to be played?, wouldn't they play with opponents?, sorry to ask because this is the first time I'm seeing club on this league playing close indoor match, however if they continue breaking the law they might get something more serious than $50k in the time to come.

I think this will continue unless they stop them from play any Africa competition because as it stands they are not worried about the fine, is just to prevent them from playing for 3-4 years then it will get into their head that they need to be nice to their fellow Africa countries. I don't want to know what they did but this Libya side are the only ones who have been on the bad book, if they continue to give them a fine I think it won't make them to stop this nonsense, they need to be taught a lesson.

Yes, I recently read how the talented Andriano became addicted to some substances especially alcohol because he couldn't recover from the death of his father. He began to lose form and was benched by Roberto Mancini in Inter Milan and was not also called up to the Brazil national team.

This a real trying time for the Nigerian goal-stopper. Losing both parents in a few months will be a big blow. But he has to learn to be strong and accept his fate. The Nigerian National team and his club Chippa United should be able to give him the support he needs. He should be given both financial and mental support because he really needs it at this time. Seeing a counsellor could also be good for him to overcome the psychological trauma that comes with such tragedies. I just hope he recovers before the start of the game in the South African Premier Soccer League and international games (Super Eagles).

Thank you for sharing the news. I did not know this happened, you know it’s been quite busy with the festivities and we don’t spend as much time on social media as we normally would. I think the Super Eagles should share their love and lend their support to our brother Stanley Nwabali during this difficult time. It’s never easy losing a loved one, especially a man losing his mother. This loss is going to affect his performance so it’s important that his teammates and country are there for him in this grieving process so that he knows that he is not alone and that the country he’s playing for loves him just as much.
