From the performance of the Super Eagles in the game I don't think Rwanda will survive the game because Nigeria is dominating them and has also created more scoring opportunities if not for the help of their goal keeper who has been so brave to prevent some goals from hitting the back of the net. It's 8 minutes before the first half will be over and Nigeria is still leading 0:1 from the goal that was scored in the 11th minute of the game by Victor Osimhen.

We are at halftime now and Nigeria is leading with 2 goals already this is an exciting match for Nigeria and for Victor Osimhen it was a do-or-die to record the first goal in the 11th minute of the game.

For update this is the image of Nigeria's score line in the first half of this match: we await to see what the match will look like whether or not the Rwanda team will be making any goal score at all in this match, congratulations to the Nigeria team for the first half leading.

The second half will definitely be very interesting because the Rwanda side will be all out to try and see if they will register a goal in the game while the Nigerian side will be looking forward to getting their third goal to ensure they secure the victory for this one. Victor Osimhen will be hoping score a hat trick in the game as he scored a brace in the first half I hope he gets the third goal and I hope to see Ademola Lookman register his name on the score sheet too because both players have been exceptional in the game. From my personal observation I think the game is likely going to end in a 1:4 in favour of Nigeria.

With the way we are all keen to the super eagles wining Rwanda today, if they did not win it will look as if we have lost the qualifier today because since we have been talking about this match with everyone having different opinion. However we are beginning to see how prepared we were all saying super eagles are because Victor Osimhen has scored against Rwandan, so we are having 1:0 against Rwanda now, though Ange Mutsinzi Rwanda defender would have made it two for the eagles through another crossing from Victor Osimhen but it was above the post. I'm now loaded with hope of the eagles wining this match but all we just wish for now is for them to score more two goals to make it 3 so that they will enter the fourth position.

Nigeria is a very strong team among the teams  in Group c. But we have not seen a better performance  from Nigeria in the past matches.  Even in the last match against Rwanda , Nigeria lost 2-1. However  if they cannot win now, Nigeria will not be able to enter the top 2 of the points table. So this match is very important for  Nigeria.
Nigeria's players are playing very well against Rwanda today. Nigeria is trying to dominate from the beginning of the match. Naturally, Rwanda's players are under pressure . Osimhen scored a goal in the 11th minute of the match from Lookman's pass. Even after getting the lead, Nigeria's players continued their attack..

No is not the top two they will be if they win because there point is not up to the country that's there, so even the top three they will not be, however since they are wining now you can check the group table you will see were they are, currently Rwanda is ahead of them even with the super eagles 2:0 on them, from how you are seeing Osimhen don't you think he would score a had trick on this match? Because he has already score two and we no how long and improving second half can be, so one more goal is another milestone for him on this qualifying game. However for group A Burkina Faso is the next after Egypt and what Eagles are doing to Rwanda that's how they are also beaten Djibouti 3:0 without much attempt from Djibouti.

Victor oshimen is on fire and he has really shown why he is one of the best players in the world as he has been fantastic in the first half scoring two goals to make it 2:0 for the Nigerian against Rwanda his second goal was something else as he sipped the ball pass the goal keeper this is one of the best goals in this international break so far that I have seen, nice performance by the Nigerian attack.

Moving into the second half the Nigerian coach should do some changes in the team especially at the midfield because I can see that the Nigerian midfield is porous and is really lacking in terms of quality, Nigeria should improve on their first half performance especially in holding on to the ball the opposition team was holding on to the ball for too long

Nigeria is fortunate to be ahead by two goals because they are not impressive. In terms of ball possession, the Super Eagles are not passing the ball very well. There have been lots of wrong passes which shows that they are not coordinated.

But the beauty of this team is that every player is serious. They are doing the marking very well which has made the Rwanda attack impotent. Eric Chelle told all the players that if you don't run, you might lose your position. That's why all the players, including Victor Osimhen, are coming back to help.

The super eagles have been able to score their first goal in the second leg of them match, I just hope they will be able to score more goals, or at least maintain their current go lead, I just hope the eagles will be able to get a win in the match.

Notice the change in formation from Eric Chelle, Ademola Lookman playing in the number 10 position behind Osimhen, and Moses Simon playing from the wing, as well as the long balls and passes that our players are playing.

It has worked so far, leading to an early goal from a setpiece, but a one-goal lead is never enough, especially with Rwanda, who have a good goal-scoring record in games they have played recently.

So far they have scored 2 goals and Victor Osimhen is the man of the match. As Fiatless said,  their (Super Eagles) conditions is still weak and with like this they will suffer when they play with outside group Match but the way they are now in this group stage they can do well and might qualify in the World Cup.
Nigeria is always giving dangerous attacks and they might score another goal again and if Nigeria score another goal again other teams in the group will be afraid to play with Nigeria.

Before the match stated, I was also thinking the super eagles won’t be able to get a win in the match, but the eagles are already ahead with two goals lead, and they are still in control of the match, I don’t think it’s possible for Rwanda to equalize in the match, so I believe the super eagles will be getting 3 points in the match, the match looks so easy for the super eagles, and they dominate the match, I won’t even be surprise if the super eagles ends up scoring more goals before the end of the second half, but u don’t think their is anything left for Rwanda in the match.

Having some famous players in the national team does not make the national team the best in Africa. What will make the national team the best in Africa are the achievements that a national team has achieved at that time. At the moment, the reality is that the Nigerian national team is the worst in Group C, along with Zimbabwe.

In all these 4 games in which the Nigerian national team lost points, they were playing with the same famous players that they have, and the result was that they lost against Benin, drew against Zimbabwe, against South Africa and against Lesotho. If the Nigerian players today play with inflated egos and consider themselves the best team in Africa, they may lose points again. They should not underestimate the opponent or set themselves a title when they are not winning anything big at the moment.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are dominating Rwanda in the first half in retaliation of a 2:1 defeat they suffered in their last meeting so i hope they maintain the score and possibly score more goals in the second half so they don't experience any drama in the end. Though despite that the Super Eagles are gaining more possession in this game but the game is very boring to me because there is no force in the attack of both teams. Victor Osimhen did a nice job by putting the Super Eagles ahead before half time, hope this game don't turn to one of those matches he puts so much efforts and in the end it ends in disappointment. I like the coordination of the Nigerian team but until they win in full time, we can't completely compliment their efforts.

Edit: just as i was typing, the Super Eagles scored another goal by Victor Osimhen to make it a brace in half time. Seems like the Nigerian skipper will record an hattrick in this game because his energy is topnotch. As it stands now, the morale of the Super Eagles has been boosted which will enable them play with much confidence in the second half and secure all 3 points, well-done to the team for a progressive first half.

I really expected more from Nigeria because through out the game there was nothing that Rwanda played that would count as threatening. The super eagles had every right to score as much goals but it seemed as if they were content with the number they got and I was so sad by the number of mistakes and miscues instead. I started wondering if it were at their various clubs they will be making  these sloppy mistakes but Mr chelle will not see it that way because to him his side went and got all three points and were able to win like South Africa did as well.

The Super Eagles showed real improvement in today's match against the Rwanda team today and we were once again reminded of the prowess of Victor Osimhen, having netted twice to secure all needed 3 points.
If they hadn't won today and am not even talking about a draw, their chances of qualifying out of group stage would have been slimmer than it is already. Here they got good chances and  am happy this change of managers happened before any major tournaments begin.

I will not be quick to pass a verdict on Eric yet; the Super Eagles need to face a stronger team for us to actually see the worth of this new coach. If we are heading to the World Cup, we need a world-class performance.

Super Eagles' hope to be at the World Cup would have received a major blow if they had lost this match. All thanks to Victor Osimhen for delivering the Nigerian team today. Although I am not too impressed with the quality of Play they can do better if the team keeps blending. Kudos to the new coach; he has done what many coaches have failed to achieve. I don't know if Nigeria is really back, time will tell.

Today they played an excellent game, and that is what they should have done since the beginning of the games in this group, if they are at the top of the group then I would consider them as the strongest in the Group, currently as South Africa is at the top of the group, I consider South Africa as the strongest.

Equatorial Guinea 2 - 0 Sao Tome e Principe (I expected this result because Sao Tome is doing very badly compared to Equatorial Guinea)

Botswana 1 - 3 Algeria (I also expected this result)

Rwanda 0 - 2  Nigeria (I did well to bet on Nigeria to win)

Burkina Faso 4 - 0 Djibouti (the difference between these two teams is huge and I didn't see Djibouti having a chance of winning)

DR Congo 1 - 0 South Sudan (I already expected Congo to win in this game)

South Africa 2 - 0 Lesotho (I also didn't see Lesotho having a chance of winning in this game)

The Super Eagles were very disciplined and clinical in this game more than I have seen them played in recent times. Eric Chelle winning his first game with a cleansheet is quite impressive and I also do admire his tactics too.

Though his players missed a few goals opportunities and he would need to work on his strikers to be more direct and precise with the ball not to miss such goal scoring chances should they meet a stronger opponent of equal strength than Rwanda. Congratulations to the Super Eagles this win should be a motivation to win their next game with Zimbabwe and see what fate has for them in the qualification battle of their group.

Actually I wouldn't rate Chelle management base on a single match game to be frank, it's just too early. Some other coaches did well in their first game and fell off.

Nigeria has always been good but lack that consistency and this has been the main reason for the change of coach. The game today was good but we could do better and score more. I hope we can continue winning and then be in a better position to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, the fact that we didn't make it to the 2022 World Cup was really disappointing even while having a squad that such task wouldn't be that difficult for them to fulfil.

Yeah, this really looks like one of their best games so far in a long while. On a normal Nigeria has a good squad and if properly managed will definitely go far, where I was angry is the fact that before this game they were in 4th place after playing four games which is not supposed to be where a team like Nigeria should be in such a group that has those kinda teams in it. Kudos to them for the win, at least they have been lifted from the position they were previously.

I looked at the scoreboard statistics for Rwanda and Nigeria and I bet on Rwanda to win the match but I forgot about Osimhen.
He pulled the plug in the first 45 minutes of the match and they beat Rwanda 0-2.
With this victory, Nigeria got their first win in the group and reached 6 points. Rwanda still maintained their third place.
I was looking for surprise results in the African qualifiers but I haven't found any so far.
I have two surprise matches left.
Nigeria will win.
I think Ethiopia will win.
