My question for the super eagles is that how can they allow a team like Rwanda come all the way from there country to our home to win us 2:1 and not even because of any advantage they have over us, is a big shame to the super eagles and even if there intentions are not for the wining but at least draw would have been acceptable so that those that went to the stadium to support them will be proud to say that super eagles has wipe the shame of losing from them, actually we were very sad with the draw they had with the Benin team but this one is the saddest results and you can imagine how slow they were playing as if they have a fatigue.

It was really a disappointing display by the Super eagles of Nigeria today against Rwanda because even if they have qualified for the AFCON, does it mean winning their remaining matches isn't necessary anymore? too bad i must say. Rwanda has just won Nigeria for the first time in the record of their meetings with the Super eagles. I know that records are meant to be broken but it shouldn't be on a platter like this because the Super eagles reluctantly lose this game when they could have just maintained the record of Rwanda not winning them in their previous meetings but it's just so unfortunate that the Super eagles are not really working hard to see the team succeed. The poor performance of Nigeria in the match they played against Benin republic and this game against Rwanda must have really demoralized most of their fans not to watch their games when the AFCON competition kick starts.

Two goals in the second half points to the indication that the defenders of the Super Eagles lost concentration and lost the ability to keep the ball and stop the Rwandans from scoring two goals within a space of 10 minutes. That is not good going forward expecting to get to the AFCON and win it. We should not be having problems with scoring goals and now also have to focus on a new problem of defending. This present Super Eagles will not be able to win anything so long they continue to remain unserious. The Nigerian supporters who came out to watch the game would have later seen it that they wasted their time.

The super eagles are not just disappointing today but they have always been disappointing, even though they have top tye group but I don't see them playing convincingly and also scoring convincing. When I watch some other African countries, the like of Morocco, Algeria, Senegal on how they win and score with ease I just so pained when I watch Nigeria. We have so much quality that when you check our squad you would even say we will beat so big European teams but just watch how we play in the field with zero passion, carelessness, zero energy levels and so many mistakes in the defense. We are not even near to winning the AFCON, not like this not next year.

Honestly, the Super Eagles is not giving me any confidence that they will do well in the AFCON.

What a shambolic second half, the first half was poor and we all expected the second half to be better but the second half was even worst. When we got the lead everybody expected us to be in total control but we were never in control throughout the match. I think you telling yourself the truth and accepting that the super eagles will do nothing in the AFCON the better. As for me I don't expect anything from the super eagles because they haven't convinced me yet, not with the way they play or the way they score.

That is football for you bro, the unexpected happens sometimes and that is for the fun of the game. I was not even expecting the Super Eagles to play with so much seriousness since they have already qualified. Remember that most of the players are foreign based who care so much about avoiding injuries so you don't expect them to play with all their might in a match that does not change anything for them. Although they would have just held the match to a draw especially as Chukwueze scored the first goal in the second half. This is where I fault the team and consider their performance generally terrible. Well they should look beyond the match and start preparing for the main competition next year.

Many people didn't understand what happened between Rwanda and Nigeria match today. It was a purely planned game and a huge amount of money was given to the super Eagles to lose the game. And Super Eagles also agreed because they have already Qualified so what is the need for struggling again no need so they SOLD THE GAME OUT.
Nigeria played the game very poor because of the agreement. But whether they sold their right or not, they will not do well in the main game. I have seen their performance from the beginning of the Qualifiers games. If Nigeria enter the round of 16, then they have luck.

If you watched Spain today you'll see the difference. This is a team that has already topped their group in the Nations League. Even if they lost, they would have still been at the top of the group, but they played their hearts out and made sure they won the game.
Any player that is given an opportunity makes sure they play their hearts out and impress because they want to prove their manager right by giving them an opportunity to represent their country. The first-team players play like they're still fighting for a spot in the team while the bench players play to impress so they get more opportunities to prove themselves. We say what Zaragoza did when he came on.
But with Nigeria, they feel like they have achieved something when they all are nothing. They have achieved nothing in football and they're not playing like people who are hungry to achieve.
If Nigeria cannot get a manager that can make these boys hungry to achieve for their country, they will continue ti struggle.

These days watching the Super Eagles play doesn't really move me on like before, the best Super Eagles team I enjoyed are the set of '94, these guys don't joke with any game and when you see these sets of players play you'd expect a big win but the guys we have now are just annoying clowns who don't care about the supporters and nation they represent, even if the country is bad but still there should be some seriousness whenever they put on that jersey to rep the country.
Watching Boniface play today was disappointing, I wanted to see his performance like when he plays for Leverkusen but I only saw someone who hasn't kicked football in his life before. Boniface could not get a better shot at the opposition goalkeeper and he is the first choice at Bayer Leverkusen, not only him but some other players which I don't know if they deserve the call up are there running around kicking stone instead of football, today can't leave my memory, is a shameful day.

Damn. Sorry about your lost bet, @buwaytress. I was in a similar situation a week ago when I used my free bet from BcGame to enter a double with ATM and Barcelona and Barcelona lost on that day despite being in a rock solid form for several weeks.

Anyway, back to topic, As much as I love the team, I didn't place any bet today on the super Eagles because their recent have been no where near consistent. And when I saw the results, I just counted myself lucky not to have indulged. I'll enjoy the remainder of the international breaks moving forward but no bets.

I mentioned something about getting a manager as early as possible before the 2025 AFCON begins, and it seems i'm not the only who's thinking the same.  Just take a look at the Moroccan national team, from the way things are going for them, we definitely won't want to meet with them in the competition. They won today's game with an impressive 7goals margin. They are literally playing as if the competition has already started. They had a perfect result of 6 wins, and with a goal difference of 24, scoring a total of 26 and conceding just 2. You can see that using spain as an example is way too far when morocco is here to set a perfect example.


You and i know very well that some players in the super eagles don't deserve the call-up, but i won't even go there because that's another topic on its own. NFF should keep on toying with the football activities of the nation.

It is the qualification matches that makes someone to question the anticipated performance of the team during the main tournament. What exactly is super eagles playing to qualify for?

Whichever one it might be, are you seeing the sign that this super eagles will perform well in the tournament? With due respect, Nigerian super eagles are supposed to be allotting countries like Rwanda 5 goals to go home with, But they keep struggling with Benin, Libia and Rwanda. It's a pure shame.

Lol, it seems you probably bet on super eagle to win or draw the game and it ends in opposite direction. No one can boldly beat a chest and mention a club or country that hasn't lost a match before either to small or stronger team. Although, it pains to end a great winning campaign this way but we are qualified already and losing or winning that match won't change the status of our qualification.

Rwanda is not a small team as many of us assumed before the match. They have played against South Africa and Benin as well and they won both matches. I know this is not supposed to be an excuse for our defeat but just trying to tell how strong they are. I know you're concerned about the future but let still appreciate their efforts regardless.

I was surprised to see that after Nigeria opened the scoreline, they relaxed and thought it was game over for them which led to the carelessness of their defenders giving Rwanda the opportunity to score two goals in three minutes. Even if Rwanda didn't qualify, they are very pleased with the result they got because they won away from home, and the only country that was able go win Nigeria. I don't know why Austin Euguavon didn't put Osimhen earlier in the match. However, Nigeria was able to finish first on the table with 12 points followed by Benin with 8 points because they used goals to kick Rwanda out of the qualifers.

Yesterday  I keep asking myself that why would Nigeria be calling up a player that perform so poorly as an attacker when we are richly blessed with top class attackers that are playing in European major leagues?

Their is nothing he brings to the team, no pace, no physicality, no aggression, though I understand the coach and what he was trying to do, since we have qualified, he just want to give the players that aren't playing much an opportunity to play and feel among, but the performance of most of the lads shows why they aren't even playing, but the person that put in the worst performance of all is victor Boniface, I don't even think that he even got a single shot in that game as an attacker, so shameful, I keep asking myself that is this the kind of performance he gives out while playing in the colors of Bayern Leverkusen? one major reason why they are underperforming is because of the too much hype they've been receiving which made it look like they are one super strong team that can't be defeated. No doubt that they've qualified but is that the end of the journey? There qualification only means that we have a bigger task ahead of us and what that demands is that we show a level of seriously in all our games.

How do you concede two straight in less than five minutes interval and you expect us to applaud them because they've qualified? Look at the second goal we conceeded, it was 100% defensive error and a product of an indecisive action from our keeper who hadn't been keeping for us and came back without any improvement. If he's being dragged online it will appear as though we don't value him in the team. Players like iheanacho is a minus for us and for me, he doesn't deserve to be called up for the AFCON proper. Most times, we fail to understand that it's a case of Nigeria against all the other African country in most cases. When it comes to Nigerian game, they don't take it as a joke because they know we are good at online roasting. It's a poor result and we've not won this Rwanda team for some home and away games now. We really need to update our games.

Is not only when someone place a bet they would sound that way, however I did not bet on the match because I was occupied with other things, perhaps I didn't realize I was sounding such way, actually I was just reacting based on the surprise they gave us, since 2022 we have not lose any match against them and their first match this season the supper eagles went to their home and came back draw 0:0 but failed to give them the same number when they came back, however since you believe Rwanda is that strong to win super eagles did you see how they played with Libya?.

Hype? I don't think hyping the super eagles has anything to do with their current games losses.. we shouldn't underestimate them just because they had lost their last match. The hype is what supports them and actually gives them that spirit to want to try harder for their next game. I just believe that it's still all a game and not everything you expect to make wins. You can make losses but try to improve on their next game.. again, I'm also thinking about their current coach not doing coaching them well. We should just not give up on them now.
