That’s a very good analogy lol. Nigerians and Ghanaians do act like we are a polygamous family and as common with most polygamous families there is usually a love-hate relationship between them. It was a disappointing performance from the Super Eagles. I don’t know which match you watched but it’s definitely not the same one I saw. What’s so beautiful about how our team played? I said in my post yesterday that Nigeria cannot be trusted to play beautiful football. It’s annoying to see that these professional players with accolades all over Europe cannot connect simple passes. The Super Eagles clearly lack chemistry and are not capable of playing in sync. That’s why they cannot cover for the weakness of their teammates in the game. Austin’s Eguaveon should double their training sessions, these players have to learn to play with each other.

What you you expect from a team that has already qualified for the African Cup of Nations? Besides the match contributing to their global ranking, the match is not that important. These players have clubs and we shouldn't expect them to risk having injuries for nothing. They were not impressive but at least they got one point. Be reminded that we played against former Nigerian coach Gernot Rohr.

So because they have qualified for the AFCON, they should play nonsense. Yea, you are very much correct on this and I also share the same sentiment as you bro, injuries is part of the game and no player knows when and where he might get injured, so if it's because of that they are not willing to give their best, they should just fuck off, because I have seen players that got injured without even kicking a ball, it's either they missed a step while walking and they twist their ankle, or they got an injury at home that would keep them out for a while, so I believe that the the fear of injuries is not a valid reason to give in a below pair performance.

Though their are some players that were actually good in their performance and they gave their all regardless of the circumstances and how poor most of their team mate were, but it was a fair result for both teams, and the draw was well deserving for this Benin republic side because they didn't allow the Nigerian team to win especially when they aren't at their very best.

Ghana has failed to qualify I. The 2025 African Cup Nation. Ghana was one thing f the strongest team in Africa but the Hero of the Black Stars has fallen. And a question is asked, will the AFCON interesting without the Black Stars? Oh yes. It will be. Ghana has won African Cup Nations 4 consecutive times. 1963, 1965, 1978 & 1982 and after those Victories, the Black Stars were good in the field but recently, they are not doing well again. In 2021, they were knockout from the group stage. In 2023, they were knockout from the group stage and in  2025 tournament, they were not qualified to play the match.



In the Match yesterday with Angola, Ghana tried their best to win the game but men Angola team was on fire that even the goalkeeper of Ghana that saved them. Those guys were very smart on the field. They were always at the goal area of Ghana with the ball. But the keeper tried.

The banter between the Ganians and Nigerians about football is here now since the Black Stars of Ghana despite their mouth and the big players they claimed to have has failed to qualify to the AFCON 2025, it means they are not too good enough this time to be compared to other teams.

But I was really shocked as I see the notification in my all-football app that the Black Stars of Ghana did not qualify to the AFCON 2025. I went further to check their team, and after seeing the squad they have, I have to blame them for not making it because they happen to be in a group that looks very easy to qualify with maximum points because it is only Angola that looks very strong in the team; others are Sudan and Niger which on a normal ground Ghana team should have eliminated or be defeated in any game they played.
Nevertheless, one big threat is out of the list of the favorites to win the AFCON 2025, now we have other teams like Mali, S/Africa, Egypt, Morroco, and Nigeria among the teams we should be expecting to win the competition.

Bro don't take it personal, everyone is entitled to his opinion. Everybody must not have the same view as yours, so let's share ideas without hard feelings. Have you not seen coaches using team B to play games after they have qualified for a competition or the next phase. We see that even in the top leagues in Europe. Some coaches use the opportunity to test new players and experiment with some strategies. I am even expecting coach Austin Equavon to use some fringe players in the next game.

Yes you are right because I remember the last would cup the super eagles did not qualified I saw so many mockery from them on the social media about how they have taken away our position on the world Cup because I could remember that the last match that deprived us the chance of qualifying was the match against them. It’s not a hard decision and it’s not a sentimental one either, I would surely bet on the Super Eagles to win the AFCON. Who else would I be rooting before? On paper, the Super Eagles is one of the strongest teams in the tournament and we should be able to make it to the finals. Our performance in the AFCON will greatly depend on how Super Eagles manager, Augustine Eguaveon ability to make tactical plays and decisions that will enhance the abilities of each player.

I am from Mozambique, here in my country most people, including me, are not supporting my country's national team because it is a team whose players and the top football manager in my country campaigned for the candidate of the party that has led my country for over 40 years and that has constantly won elections thanks to fraud. This time the people of my country are on the streets to restore the truth of the elections and they are being murdered by the government police of my country. But even so the people do not give up and for that reason people campaigned not to support my country's national team. Many people in my country celebrated Mali's victory a lot.

How can the Super Eagles be struggling and losing the first half with this quality of players in the lineup. I don’t get it. A team with this quality of players shouldn’t be finding themselves on the losing end of the ball. I was expecting the Super Eagles to dominate the game, right now we are hoping for an equalizer. The game is still in the first half, a lot can happen before 90 minutes. I can only pray that Marvelockg‘s prediction of a 3-1 victory comes true.

Super eagles were lucky enough to have gotten a point from Benin. I mean they were begging for draw. Which is very terrible, considering the amount of quality players they have. At this point I don’t know who to be blamed for their poor performance. Could it be the managers, or maybe the players lack composure. They don’t play team football, it’s more of individual’s effort. In their perspective teams, they tend to play well. But when it comes to country they struggle. If we’re being honest. Benin was a better side to have won that game. But their up front was all average players. The NFF should step up their efforts to see the super eagles at their highest level.

The Super Eagles difficulty in delivering a dominant play especially in the last three matches of the AFCON qualifiers may be largely affected by the fact that the team is still trying to integrate some new players into the squad and this phase means they haven't fully bonded together yet. We are in game week five of the AFCON qualifiers and we saw the match between Ethiopia vs Tanzania yesterday. No one expected Ethiopia to come out of the match victorious, they were the underdog in the contest and most bettors would have staked high on Tanzania to win. Tanzania went in to win the match to keep their hopes for qualifying for AFCON alive.

And the other match of the day were we saw guinea host DR Congo, I knew that Guinea will surely win the match because they were the host country. I played the match Guinea to win either half. I was happy to see my prediction come out correctly.

No doubts the Eagles are equipped with the best key players in Africa and Europe, they deserve to make differences in African games. The NPL has produced lots of stars in all states, but their performances on pitch sometimes surprises me. Could it be that our boys feel reluctant to play nice soccer when with fellow African Countries or is there some behind the scene disputes that leads to their below average team work?

I still have the memory of the previous World cup qualifers  that Nigeria didn't qualified as a result of them getting eliminated by the Blackstars of Ghana, it was so noisy on socials and was an issue of mockery by the Ghanaians on Nigerians because they got the slot over us due to how well prepared and in good form they were as at then. So it's nothing new that today Nigeria is having the  cake and that's just how football could be, the better side at the moment does stay at the top of the game.

Very funny though, but i would not be dragging them here even as a Nigerian, i understand when it comes to African football we always find ways to banter each other and make things look more than just a competition but i also will feel their pain because i also consider them one big country here in Africa. They performed very badly and i would not also claim that the Super Eagles of Nigeria performed at their best, we took some really slow step but guess we were fortunate because our team value is worth a lot and the results experienced wasn't as expected. Most of our Super Eagle players are currently playing in Europe and some other top leagues which makes them more at the edge of winning than losing unlike other countries who has just few key players to speak about, i wouldn't want to be sentimental but i feel despite our poor performance the next AFCON winners would be counting on Nigeria.

The qualifying series for the 2025 CAF African Cup Nations have been entertaining if I must say but one of the surprising things about the qualifiers is that an African football country like Ghana will not be participating in the next edition of the tournament which will be their first absence since 2004.
There'll be more games to be played tomorrow but the one that I'm more interested in is the game between Nigeria vs Rwanda. The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been one of the best performing teams in the qualifiers and have already booked their place in the tournament but I still expect them to beat their visitors tomorrow

I think Benin will qualify unless they Rwanda made a surprise against Super eagles and Libya defeat them which is a hard combination in my opinion.
Sudan are at risk and they should try to get a draw to qualify.
Mozambique > Guinea-Bissau, Guinea > Tanzania to follow.
Botswana, Cape Verde and Mauritania are in a group where it is difficult to know which team will pass because it is complicated. Botswana needs to get at least a point to pass or a draw between the other two to pass, while a defeat could cost them a lot if one of the other teams win.

The countries that have qualified so far a usual participants in the AFCON and I am satisfied that the competition will be interesting to watch. But one country made a surprise entry into the event which is Comoro. Comoros an Eastern African country with a population of about 852,075 as of last year is making their second appearance in the competition. It shows that population has nothing to do with the strength of a team. Dedication, proper planning and hard work can help any team to make an impact in football. Hoping to see some debutants that will take the spot of established teams to add variety to the event.

does it make any difference? in their last Afcon outing, they couldn't succeed past the group stage of the tournament but were knocked out before the round of sixteen started and now they are out in an even worse situation of not even qualifying at all. I have it before is not a present property, that they have been qualifying in the past is not enough reason to feel entitled that they must qualify this time. Muhamed kudus can't do it all by himself and to be frank, the team lacks the debt of players we currently have which is enough reason why we should never assume that we are at the same league with them because players wise, we are the most expensive team with the best of quality in Africa.

mind you, they are currently waiting for us to come back from the Afcon too soon. nothing will excite them than seeing us going into the Afcon and coming back without going beyond the group stage. for me, this Rwanda game is not a concern but to start preparing for what's ahead of us in the Afcon should be our preoccupation. it's not going to be the usual games we play at the qualifiers and struggle to find the least two goals, our attackers need to work more in being clinical at the front of the goal. they've been doing it in the clubs they play for and doing it for nigeria shouldn't be too difficult for them.
