The Super Eagles will always remain the team not to expect much from even if we have the best line-up. We are dominating the game but without reasonable result. Benin are comfortable leaving us to move the ball around, but they know exactly what they want whenever they get the ball, they simply just want to cut through the Nigerian defense and score goals. They have had success with doing that once, they can do it again if Nigerian players do not show more composure.
Did you see the clear header Osimhen missed? Although it was cancel for offside, it still does not take it away that he missed it.

You have a point, it’s the way they play that is not giving them the total superiority that everyone wants, they always have control in terms of possession but then they have the problem of creating chances for their attackers, it is as though the midfielders are only there to make safe passes without any creativity from them that way it is very easy to defend against Nigeria. From onset Nigeria actually lacks a creative midfielder but that aside, even with this kind of quality players they should have been able to win Benin. Osimhen is human too and will definitely miss some chances but we know without him we will definitely get no where and Boniface is not the kind of striker Nigeria can rely on so with What Osimhen gives us in the team we should appreciate him because it is still him or Lookman that we can count on.

We all expected Nigeria to win against Benin. Since Benin is not a strong team. But Nigeria was not lucky. Nigeria failed to win the match. But I will say that I am not happy with Nigeria's overall performance. I thought Benin would play defensively in this match and try to draw the match. But Benin players attacked more than Nigeria players in this match. Victor Osimhen managed to score a goal in this match too. But he missed several chances. But I agree with you that Nigeria's midfield is not strong. If the midfield was strong, Nigeria would have won this match.

How can the Super Eagles be struggling and losing the first half with this quality of players in the lineup. I don’t get it. A team with this quality of players shouldn’t be finding themselves on the losing end of the ball. I was expecting the Super Eagles to dominate the game, right now we are hoping for an equalizer. The game is still in the first half, a lot can happen before 90 minutes. I can only pray that Marvelockg‘s prediction of a 3-1 victory comes true.

Super eagles were lucky enough to have gotten a point from Benin. I mean they were begging for draw. Which is very terrible, considering the amount of quality players they have. At this point I don’t know who to be blamed for their poor performance. Could it be the managers, or maybe the players lack composure. They don’t play team football, it’s more of individual’s effort. In their perspective teams, they tend to play well. But when it comes to country they struggle. If we’re being honest. Benin was a better side to have won that game. But their up front was all average players. The NFF should step up their efforts to see the super eagles at their highest level.

Victor Osimhen doesn’t disappoint, every game his name can be on the scoresheet! Our striker came back from injury and scored a fantastic goal in the last minutes of the game to give Nigeria the equalizer. This shows how much the Super Eagles need Victor Osimhen fit and able to play. This game may likely end in a 1-1 draw, it’s not the result I expected but it’s better than losing to Benin.

It was a beautiful match but Alex Iwobi is one of the most unreliable player in scoring super eagles have and almost every match he is always recorded as a player who could not score, though his energy was very commendable on the match but what we want from him is goal, however I'm happy Victor Osimhen is back if not we could have lose to Benin the second time, though he missed a free heading that could have given them the first goal, I don't no if he was thinking that it was an offside because there was no seriousness from him on that heading, meanwhile Mohammed Tijani goal came unaware for Stanley Nwabali and he was not close to the side the ball went through.

I agree with you, the match was a shame to me because Nigeria players played well but find it very difficult to penetrate Benin defense, and if they manage to penetrate, they wouldn't make proper use of the chance. I was really upset watching the game.

I think that these world clas players needs to be more committed, and if they are not, we should get new players that are ready to make name for their country from our local league, so that we can know where we are heading to.

For Nigerians now I believe it doesn't get bigger than victor osimhen, the guy is just absolutely phenomenal. He single handedly changed the whole context of the turkey leagues upon his arrival as he have being making waves and scoring spectacular goals over there and that same form is what all Nigerians are prayer for because Victor can really change the outcome of the game or even the tournament as a whole if he is in his stride.

The biggest question now rising in the Super Eagles squad is why is it that the players are doing well in their various clubs in the international football games and not doing well in the National Team? This is the major concern for many fans of Super Eagles. And if you check well, the Group D of the AFCON Qualifiers, Super Eagles is the best team among all and by the right, Super Eagles supposed performs more than this. Though they have 11 points while the hosting team Morocco has 12 points, but Morocco has won 6-0 in their games. Can Nigeria play with those teams? It is not all about qualifying but how to sustain the team to the final is the hope of all Nigerians and fans.

Actually it was indeed a big shame to super eagles players yesterday, despite the draw. sometimes I used to wonder what is really happening to the team that made them always chasing a win from behind of a weaker team, that they are supposed to win easily without even conceiving a goal from them. Because looking at the types of quality players that we have in the Super Eagles now I think we are not supposed to be losing matches again as long as Africa football is concerned, if not for the late goal by Victor Osimhen I think Benin would have took the lead against super eagles.

Honestly I expected so much from the super eagles because they have good players who are capable of playing against Benin Republic without stress. The super eagles have many players that are playing in big clubs but whenever they return home to play for the national team their performance is nothing to talk about which it gets one to wonder if these players are even stars in big clubs.

The only player I know that normally plays fine is Victor Osimhen and he scored a goal in the match to equalise the game. Victor Osimhen is player that have so much passion for football that is why even when he is playing for the national team he puts in his best.

I think it's what discussing, because I find it hard to believe that these are pictures of Zimbabwe female footballers. I don't think that CAF should allow them play without seriously confirming their gender. This pictures has caused some people really thinking if this is truly the body physique of them. And I really urge the CAF to seriously investigate the matter thoroughly to ensure fairness and obedience to football rules. There was a similar incident in the 2024 Olympics where a boxer is accused of being a biological male, it caused a lot of controversy in the competition, CAF should do their best to avoid any kind of controversy in this tournament.

It's really sad the super eagles has gotten to this point, di was very unhappy that the first half ended with the eagles not getting a goal only for them to come to the second half and start struggling to get an equalizer not even a win, before now the eagles would be much more regarded as a better squad than this, and even with their international stars they still struggle this much has to be the very unpleasant aspect of this whole form they have got now.

The results that the Super Eagles are given pot this against the Benin is what I didn't expect from them, because I was having a lot of hope for them that they can find this match to win without undergo a lot, but the game has become very difficult for the Super Eagles to win.

The Super Eagles result is just surprising. With the quality set of players the Super Eagles have, I don’t think winning against Benin should be a difficult thing for the Super Eagles, but we all saw what they played yesterday, they were only able to get a draw in the match, which is a disappointing one. The Super Eagles are in a weak group, and they are supposed to find all their matches so easy, but it’s just surprising that things are not easy for them.
 
With the players the Super Eagles have, we are supposed to be winning the African Cup of Nations continuously, but we are finding it difficult to win. From the way the Super Eagles are playing, I don’t think players are their problem, the main problem we are having is a coach problem. We don’t have an experienced coach who knows how to manage the players.
 
The Super Eagles of Nigeria played a draw against the Benin Republic. Seriously,  they should be ashamed of themselves. It’s annoying to see that these professional players with accolades all over Europe cannot connect simple passes. The Super Eagles clearly lack chemistry and are not capable of playing in sync. That’s why they cannot cover for the weakness of their teammates in the game. Austin’s Eguaveon should double their training sessions, these players have to learn to play with each other.

Libya again is in the news as the FIFA world cup African qualifiers competition enters the fifth day of play. After the whole saga with Nigeria. This time, the Libyan government is accusing their host country Rwanda of making their football team to facing tough times and harsh conditions before the match. Alleging that this is a strategy to make them lose the match as many African teams are afraid of playing against the Libya national team.

But my question is, when did Libya national team turned to be a big treat in African football history that almost every team they're to play against is now alleged to employ uncomfortable conditions on their team as a strategy to make them lose their game? Because when speaking of North African strong teams it's the likes of Egypt, Morocco, Algeria to which Libya is just at the bottom.

 So guys what's your thoughts on this  alarm raised by the Libyan authorities against Rwanda.

I believe CAF should have imposed more stricter punishment on Libya. Their actions is bringing shame to African football, it doesn't speak well about the spirit of fair play and unity of the game. If Libya are allowed to continue such behaviour, some of the African countries will not like to participate with Libya in any football related activities again. Also their complaints about Rwanda ahead of their encounter which was played yesterday could just be one of their tactical strategies to make Rwanda unsettled as this eventually made the Libyans to defeat the Rwandans in that match.

What I understand in yesterday's match is that Nigeria dominated the game, they played very well but lack creative Midfielders to do the dirty works and distribute pass for the striker to score and another things is that majority of them are playing for top clubs across Europe, they're big shots and are playing individual game rather than team football if not tell me why the Nigerian squad would be finding it hard to score against Beniń and even conceded first. It would had been so embarrassing if they got defeated thanks to Osimhen for being the team's Messiah. Anyway, it's left for the coach to call them to other, they should be making it easy for themselves and for the strikers instead of shooting and missing when they don't have clear chance. Well, I support that the case of injury might be another god reason why those players are not giving their best cause I don't think the NFF would be able to handle injury situations the way their various club side would, so the fault is not only from the players but NFF as well.

If these pictures shown above are the alleged Zimbabwe National football female team players who have been trending all social media recently, then I must truly say it's actually worth discussing here on this forum, because mere looking at the picture, it's obvious these people look like guys, of which any typical person will consider them as been guys, until proven otherwise, most especially this days that gender transparent is common in the society, as it we won't be surprised after an investigation is made to discover these three were men who did gender transplant just like Bobrisky did (i.e Mummy of Lagos, Nigeria). So my sincere advice will be for CAF to ensure that players genders are properly screen.

The yesterday match between super Eagles and Benin was very surprise match, I wasn’t not expected that the results will come out as a draw but indeed the game end up in draw which as what didn’t expect because even in terms of the quality of players; super Eagles have better squad then Benin, but due to their lack of  their inconsistency they are able to lead them since from dis Hal by 1 goal before they come later equalized back at the end of the full minute of times: If not the game could have be in favor of Benin I know in their next match they will do much better and bring out a good outcome.

Qualifying for the AFCON is not an excuse for the poor performance of the Super eagles in my own opinion. There was no excuse of playing safe since they have already qualified because The Super eagles is a great team among other African country teams so they should have that at the back of their mind and make sure they give in their best in all matches even if they're playing against a lesser country or a superior country. The Super eagles should understand that Nigerians always show unanimous support to them so they need to know that as they're playing, there are people who expect them to always play their best and get good results. Gernot Rohr is a tactical coach no doubt but the Super eagles is bigger than the Benin Republic team to be struggling to get a draw against them. Austin Equavon is really doing a great job for the Super eagles, I commend his efforts in making the Super eagles great again.
