I don't think the problem of Nigeria super Eagles has to do with the coaching crew alone watching the way Nigeria super Eagles play you never see the sense of patriotism, they play like they are doing the country a favour to be there in the first place and it's so disgusting. For years now Nigerian players hasn't been able to give the everyday Nigerians something to boast about in terms of football.

The craziest thing here is that these are too players for their club and in Europe in general. We have super start players that leave it all out on the pitch for their club but when they get to play for Nigeria they don't even give 20%. I don't see the essence of Nigeria going to the African cup of Nations because we would only go there to play rubbish and hope on miracles.
I have been very critical of Victor Boniface in the AFCON Qualifiers. His performance in the tournament has been very disappointing, Boniface is a clinical finisher for his club side but he’s slow to action when playing for the national team. He failed to take advantage of chances, leading to disappointing results we had.

Against Rwanda, it can be argued that the super eagles missed the presence of Stanley Nwabali, he would have made some vital saves to at least earn a draw for Nigeria. I think the NFF should look closely into the Super Eagles and the coaching staff so they will be able to figure out the problem, and avoid such poor results in future.

Super Eagles head coach Augustine Eguavoen indicated that Victor Boniface will always be welcomed in the team. Which means the coach still has confidence in the Bayer Leverkusen striker. I watched some of the games and saw some clear goal scoring chances that Boniface missed, it was really embarrassing. Some people might feel that he is under a spell. But I think he deserves more playing time, Maybe he might end up becoming Nigeria's top scorer.

The NFF should settle the managerial aspect of the Super Eagles. If they are comfortable with Austin, he should be given a permanent contract. If they are not a new coach should be brought in immediately to prepare the team for other important games. The NFF is used to fire brigade approach when it comes to preparing for competitions.

I knew this would definitely come up. The Nigeria loss to Rwanda is beginning to cast doubt and aspersions on the Super Eagles true intentions towards the match. News has it that the Libyans as beginning to throw a blame game to the Eagles for intentionally losing out to the Rwanda side when they could win the match as a walk over for them the Libyans to qualify but I was curious as to why they would blame the Eagles for their own match losing to Rwanda, were they able to win their own match they played host to? As a result of their loss, they are beginning to accuse the Super Eagles for match fixing wanting to make CAF be ridiculed. They wanted  Nigeria to win their match why did their players fail to win their own match to give them a little boost.

I like your analysis here. Matches of this nature does not really require the risk of the coach staring or featuring key  players of such nature. They are assets and should be properly managed for the future. We already qualified so the match is just a bonus for us. Aside that, the team should learn from this and sit up because they should not depend on just these two players to be  game changers. They should learn to do wonders right on the pitch without the presence of these two players that was what the coach did and I like that. Overall, we loosing the match was not making any sense though but I have to see reason for the actions. Maybe the coach would go back to his drawing board to fix up things so that without these two key players others would be able to win a match.

Yes, the defeat was a clear message to the rest of the team and to Boniface, especially because he has been struggling for minutes since joining the team; if he wants to compete in the starting lineup with Osimhen, these are the games he has to show muscle, but all he did was disappear as usual. System players always struggle when they are removed from their comfort zone. He plays well for his club and flop for his country.

I saw the news today in SilverBird News period. And really before this news came out, some people even here have said that the Rwanda didn't win that match with their clear high but the match was compromised and if really Rwanda won that game with their skills then it is better for the Super Eagles not to go to the AFCON Morocco 2025. Though from the fixtures of the games, Nigeria will not play with Morocco and South Africa in the Group Stage but if they qualify to the knockout stage then they will meet.

Libya is looking for all means to attack Nigeria Super Eagles and CAF so they should be careful in this tournament and others. Libya is not happy because of the 3 points giving to Nigeria Super Eagles and the fines. And if really Nigeria Super Eagles compromised the game then it was very bad of them. Because that winning was not clear for the super Eagles fans.

Maybe he is yet to get familiar with the national team formation. Club side is  quite different from national team but as an experienced player he is, he should be able to fit in as much and fast as he could by adapting to the football style and pattern of the national team. Maybe he needs them to come in so he could be able to do his display but he just have to do without them by being able to prove himself if he want to be in the first lineup.

I do not think or see anything like compromise there, I believe you know that in every game played there must be a winner and a loser. The eagles played as much as they could but it did not end in their favor so they accepted it in fate. come to talk of it some people are complaining of key players not being active. Let me ask will you risk your key players for a tournament you know you have already qualified for? I believe what happened there was risk management and every coach would likely do the same too. As for libyans, they should just mind their business and focus on improving on their attitudes rather than barking like a toothless bull dog.

They have every right to do that because I too don't understand how Nigeria will lose that game but the lineup is what is making the accusations to be dismissed because Nigeria didn't use their starting eleven to play the game therefore Rwanda had an opportunity to get some of their dignity back irrespective of them not qualifying for the AFCON.

The accusations of match fixing is something I can believe the boys did on purpose to prevent Libya from progressing. An investigation should be done but it's obvious that Libya are just speaking out of the point of hate. Also I didn't like the fact that Nigeria got a free 3 point, they should have fixed that game on a neutral ground for the players to fight it out and we get a winner.

I think the reason why AFCON penalized Libya was because they never apologize to the super eagles team of their bad arrangements that had lead to the inhumane treatment of the players. Things can happen but when it looks like it's intentional, that where regulators will come in. They could have allowed the match to take place so everyone can see what the outcome will be than giving a whole 3 points to the super eagles. The judgement of the AFCON is final and there is nothing we can do about that.

I just dont know what's fundamentally wrong with the Super Eagle national team. The large pool of expertise players within the team does not reflect on the performance of the team in many of their matches. While I know they are naturally lazy to make great push whenever they feel they're at the top of the table or so. I don't just know what's fundamentally wrong with those guys else they should not be losing their game against the Rwanda team.

The Rwanda guys used a defensive formation while the Super Eagle national team used an offensive formation yet they could not win their games and resulted in losing to the Rwanda team for the first time in this tournament. I still wonder why the big squad isn't enough reason to make the Nigerian players unbeaten yet I hope they get better though.

The craziest thing here is that these are too players for their club and in Europe in general. I don't see the essence of Nigeria going to the African cup of Nations because we would only go there to play rubbish and hope on miracles.

It cannot be generalized to all players. Each case is unique and will be affected by multiple factors. In general, the harmony between players in European clubs is often much higher due to continuous training and continuous playing together. The tactical style of the national team may differ from the club, which takes time to adapt. There is no doubt that the level of African players in European clubs is very high, but some teams may lack the same level of individual quality in all positions.

You have said it rightly because that is the point of the accusation as well. Libya said, Nigeria deliberately loss the Match foe them to leave the competition and it was plan game. And if this accusation is true, there are some implications involved. Libya and Nigeria will be a serious enemy which is not good because Libya took the game has sure win for Nigeria. And I was thinking that Nigeria would win the game and what Libya is saying is not far from the truth.
If Nigeria used her normal squad for the game and win it then allowing Libya to participate in the tournament, at least they would forgotten some of the pains in the saga.

I’m not surprised that the Lybians are blaming Nigeria for match fixing against Rwanda. I believe I have read a comment here that suggested that the players were paid to lose to Rwanda. If a Nigerian fan can think and say that, you can expect even worse from a country with hostilities towards Nigeria. Libya has been looking for a way to get back at Nigeria for the punishments and fine they were given in the AFCON Qualifiers.

Everyone expected Nigeria to win that match, Rwanda took their chances well and capitalize on the fact that the Super Eagles didn’t care to win because they felt the match wasn’t important. I’m not happy we lost the game but I will not forgive anyone who tries to insult Nigeria and accuse our players of match fixing.

The only people that expected Nigeria to win that match are those who don't know the history of the Super Eagles. For a match that they were practically playing for nothing, it would be almost impossible for the Nigerian boys to come out and play to win instead they wiuld rather play defensively. Rwanda even did did Nigeria a favour else they would have won the match because the Nigerian boys were practically not committed to winning the matches they had qualified for the tournament already. I still give it to Samuel Chukwueze who saved the day for the Super Eagles side else the match would have been a loss for them.

I have learned that the Super Eagles are not a team to rely on to win games especially this present team that have not found their swagger. This is why I don’t believe that the Super Eagles worked with the Rwandan’s to loose that game because it is not like they have been an excellent team.

The Libyans are still bitter and it is obvious.

Accusations are better investigated for clarifications and not to continually work with assumptions and false informations, it's okay to suspect something fishy had happened in the game and some parties aren't satisfied so the next step is to investigate it just as it was done in the case of Libya and Nigeria but somehow it still sounds like Libya is actually making all this observations out of hate and the fact that they may not qualify for the AFCON but then I'm of the opinion an investigation be done to clear the air.

If he had grown up somewhere other than Nigeria, I would have assumed he was still adjusting to the weather in Africa, but that is not the case; he grew up in Nigeria and is quite familiar with the weather and how we play our game so there is no excuse. In a recent interview, Neymar stated that African players only give their best at the club level, not at the national level. Boniface is an excellent fit for that category.

There's no good reason for the Super Eagles to lose to Rwanda. Augustine Eguaveon should have played our first eleven and dealt with Rwanda very well.

If this can happen unexpectedly, then why do we think people will not assumed that it was match fixed already, because this is sounding as if this is not the same Nigerian Super Eagles we used to know, honestly things like this are what gives gamblers more headache in finding it very difficult even to do what they are best at, because by the virtue of all things, they shouldn't lose the match, not even to Rwanda.

Ghanian Black Stars Coach Otto Addo is under review to continue as the head coach of the team or should be replaced. Well as for me I will support the replacement of the coach because when team didn't perform well for like 4-5 games and didn't qualify in the AFCON the it is better to replacement him before the World Cup Qualifiers games begins again. And from from all indications, Otto Addo will not survive this investigation. From the the way I am seeing things he will be removed.

And from the way I am seeing things in the football game, if the coach is too long in a team, it affects the performance of a club. It has happened in some of the club side teams in this season and the change of the coach brought good performance of the team.

As a lover of the sport, he should be sacked immediately without any investigation as he didn't qualify the teams for the most important tournament of Africa football. I know what I went through when Nigeria didn't qualify and I know what the Ghanians will be going through when the AFCON will be airing and they don't get to watch their nation participate.

If they don't sack him, he won't qualify them for the world cup because there isn't anything he'll be adding to the team than what they played at the AFCON qualifiers. A new coach should be employed so he has enough time to work with the boys.

As a rival I don't care what Ghana does. Keeping the coach and them not qualifying for the world cup will make me more happier.
