I absolutely do. It's so simple a disorganized organization can't be able to achieve any success. NFF has been a disorganized organization for years as corruption, selfish motive, bribery, and prejudice has engolf them. If they can't be able to fist wipe all the bad eggs in the organization and start setting standards and stop favoritism then Nigeria can grow as a footballing country and dominate Africa and beyond. It's so disgusting that corruption will not allow the country to move forward in all aspect of life. Imagine football that a professional is what is needed for the growth of the National team and glory to the nation. These corrupt set of people have forgotten the reason why the NFF was created and the reason why getting the best is needed to win international competitions. Instead, they are using it to enrich themselves and don't care about what the result of their action will yield.

. And from what I observed, what Jay Jay Okocha said is the truth, if they remove politics from the team, the boys will do well.
Politics in what way? In the selection of coaches, players or the way we play as team? The politics referred to by Okocha will be politics that affects everything, coach selection, team selection and even player benefits and incentives. We know that players will not be motivated to give their all when they know they are no sort of incentives. Asides passion which these players must have, knowing that they are playing for a country that will not be hesitant to reward them can fuel their passion the more. Maybe as these issues are coming up and especially from old legendary footballers like Okocha, there will be changes. It's not uncommon for fans to feel that the management and governance of a national team can have a huge impact on its performance. Leadership with a deep understanding of the sport, as well as a passion for it, is often crucial for success. Jay Jay Oko has could be right because everything in Nigeria seems to be influenced by politics and corrupt leaders, we certainly need leaders with great passion for the sport to lead and direct the affairs of the NFA.

On thing most Nigerian football fan didn't know is that Jay Jay okocha was an ex international, he knows so many things we as Nigerian football fans don't know, so it would be very easy for him to know where the problem of the super eagles is coming from, and those set's of people calling for him to apologize is as pathetic as the Nigerian NFF, because bad people are getting more sophisticated everyday in our society because people that should be stopping them by speaking out are stay silent, so tell me why they wouldn't be emboldened to do more evil?
Let's look at this coach that was hired, with his current standard and profile, he has no business being the manager of our super eagles, when their are so many better manager out their and even in our country, so are we going forward or backward, so those pathetic fellow messaging him to apologize should just let the young man be, because in my own opinion, all that he said was the truth.
Let stop being sentimental as far as this issue is concerned bro. Jay Jay is a respected personality in Super eagle actually but there are issues that doesn't really need his opinion. He is entitle to his own opinion of course but it's not necessary because it'll end up being misinterpreted differently just like this very one. Moreover, this is not the first time Nigeria is appointing an outsider to coach super eagle so I don't know why this very one is raising issues where there is none. I think we should already realise that Africa countries at large don't value their own stars but always prefer outsiders. Other African countries have one time appointed Nigeria indigene as their head coach and no one says a word. It would be wise for us to wait and see what the newly coach has to offer before we begin our criticism. As for NFF, it has been politicize long before now and not only the managerial crew affected by this politics but including the players playing in the super eagle are beneficiary of this politics agenda. No brother, it would be wrong seeing it that way, one thing we all need to understand is that in our society today, most of this politicians are now doing things with reckless impunity and audacity is because people that should be speaking up and holding our leaders accountable are staying silent, it's not about which nationality of coach that was hired that is the problem, it's about the quality of coach they choose to settle with considering that their are better options out there. So in my own opinion, if most of our top ex player were speaking up as Jay Jay okocha, I believe that things wouldn't have been this bad for our super eagles because the said NFF would have known that their would be pushback from any wrong decision they take, so I think that if people that are in positions were speaking up more, our super eagles wouldn't be here in the first place.

I understand your point quite well but what I'm trying to say is that most at times, our people only come out to criticise when something no favor them and keep mute when they're part of the beneficiary. I'm not talking about Jay Jay Okocha here particularly but I'm talking about the general reality going on in our country. The nationality of the new coach hired was the genesis of all matters arising now and nothing more. All I'm trying to say is for us to sit back and see what the man has to offer before we bring out our firearms to attack the NFF. I'm also not against calling NFF out when they misbehave but talking about the politics going on there is a joke to me. We all know what is happening there and some people don't have the gut to talk about the corruption going on. I believe things will get better someday.

You are right but Okocha is not inclusive because if he was among them he couldn't have allowed any injustice to be done on the club even if it was something that will profit him because you cannot be at home with your kids and someone would come to harm them, however not all the people who talked against NFF will do better if they are there because that's when they would starts saying since the previous leadership took this they would also do the same. Yes all this disagreement started from the time the new coach came into the club but it was unfortunate this matter was not raised earlier when they were still making a move for him, it would have made the NFF to hold a bit.

Even the football apex body in Nigeria at some point is very much influenced politically so jayjay isn't wrong, he actually spoke from what he has seen as true observation possibly a first hand observation, it's high time they begin to pay attention to people like this when they make their contributions on issues as this because they have a first hand experience and have passion incorporated so they can only be fighting for the intrest of the team and not mostly personal gains.

One major problem in Nigeria is that we are too tribalistic, yes, am saying this because anytime accountability is demanded From any of our leaders, some set of people will start saying that because we know that he or she is from this or that tribe, why didn't they hold so so and so accountable when his or she was in power, honestly we really need to push sentiment aside and hold our leaders accountable, because by doing that we will start seeing results that are not forth coming now, and this politicians that are in charge of our football federation would not be running our football anyhow they like without looking out first in the interest of the nation, I know that most people will have a different opinion, but that's just the truth, it's high time people in positions that's speaking up.

I am rating the current government very low on sports and youth development. Since the inception of this dispensation Nigeria has been facing disgrace. I remember how the sports ministry handled the last Olympics. Some athletes were not registered, the most embarrassing one was when a cyclist had to borrow bicycle from another country to participate in the competition. I will not be surprised to see any negative situation because our current leaders lack knowledge of the importance of sports.

Ahead of the FIFA World Cup qualifying games that'll be coming up next month, Super Eagles new manager Eric Chelle is talking tough already. The Ivorian who was recently appointed the manager of the national team of Nigeria is saddled with the difficult responsibility of making sure they qualify for the next edition of the FIFA World Cup. His statement i think suggests he's very much prepared to achieve that target. Nigeria national team is blessed with talented players who mostly play in European clubs and against a Rwandan side that's below them in the FIFA rankings, I expect the Super Eagles to get all three points in the game. What do you make of the statement of the new Super Eagles boss? Let me read your opinions.

The truth is that it is impossible to have a good result when things are not done the right way, especially when politics is brought into sport. This has been the problem for most teams and it is really affecting the performance because their is no significant good result just because the people who are in charge have choose not to the right thing. The worst thing about everything is that even with the bad results of how things are not done the right way, it doesn't even bother the management to change their ways.

Nigeria has already drawn three and lost one and is currently sitting in fifth position in their group. This put them in great danger of missing out on qualification for the 2026 FIFA world cup. Despite having an abundance of talented players qualification will require more than just individual skills. They need to address key weaknesses in the team in order to stand a chance of making it to the finals come 2026.

These things happening in our sports is among the reasons I don't pay too much attentions on our leagues even though I see some hype on X, they don't move me at all, I just play along and read or watch highlights that I want to continue with whatever I'm doing. It's embarrassing for a representative to leave his country only for the athletes not register, I mean where is this done like that and where do we copy this from, this is where our root is not having enough recognition. Look at the players that often represent us, they are from foreign based with root of Nigeria, the root players don't get recognition and all of this boil down to the minister of sports and if see the amount of money that are been disburse to the ministry of sport, you will be ashame of the people representing the sports activities at any level, just corruption and no accountability.

But I accept Jay Jay Okocha's view that football administration should be handled by experienced footballers/administrators instead of it to be controlled by greedy politicians.
Who are the politicians controlling the NFF. Football administration is not always handled by former footballers, even the management of big clubs in Europe is not run by former footballers. Todd Boehly is a businessman, Khaldoon who is chairman at Manchester City right now is not a former footballer, i can give you a hundred more examples. In Nigeria we are always looking for problems where there is none, the best players are always selected, let them perform on the field. We have no say in the current coach so we get to manage and hope the best to happen as he promised to help qualify for the World Cup.
Where in the world do fans of a particular team decide or have a say in who becomes the manager, both club side and national football? I am waiting.

Because Nigerians have been silent all these years, that's why the NFF is doing whatever they want and getting away with it because they believe nobody will talk or question them for their actions. Nigerians are not programmed to be silent always; that's what NFF fails to understand: that the Super Eagles are not only theirs to decide on how it is being run. Nigerians really have a say in it, to correct them when they are taking the wrong steps. So what JayJay says about the NFF is not wrong; we Nigerians know that the NFF is already politicalized and corrupt at the same time. They are not making the right decision in regards to selecting a coach for the Super Eagles. It seems not nice for NFF to let go of the services of a good coach to employ the services of a below coach and expect everyone to be quiet. People will speak out; that's what JayJay did, and they want to crucify him for that. That's absolutely wrong. When NFF does something wrong, Nigerians have the right to speak out to tell them that the decision is wrong. The Super Eagles are ours, not theirs alone, to run as they like.

You can't isolate sports administration with politics because the ministry of sports is a part of the government therefore we shouldn't be surprised when some certain matters are being politicized. I know for sure that most people that are appointed and those that appoints them seeks for their personal interest first before their duties. I'm not in the NFF but I want to believe Jay Jay Okocha's stance because he understands the system better than most of us. We have a new national team coach and whether we like him or not or the people that hired him have personal interests to gain or not doesn't matter now. Action speaks louder than words so his performance in the end will prove whether he's the best choice or not. Even the best rated coaches don't get the job done all the time so let's give him the benefits of doubt whether he'll perform or not.

With the right coach I honestly feel achieving world cup qualification shouldn’t be a very difficult task because we have good players and a good squad at our disposal. We just need an experience coach with very good tactics, one who understands the act of coaching and how to outplay his opponents and we are good to go. I really hope Chelle is that man that will save us from sacking and searching for a new coach again.

But come to think of it, is there any reason why Nigerian shouldn't beat them, we're better than them in all angles on the pitch, we have better attackers, midfielders and defenders. What is stopping Nigeria from defeating Rwanda and qualifying for the world cup. I hope the new coach isn't biased with his selection and choose players based on merit and not favouritism from the elites that wants their own people to represent the country. We're lacking behind in terms of fairness as let say the former coaches were being free and fair, there are sometimes that we shouldn't be playing certain players because they have be awful in previous matches but still they get selected. Nigeria has no reason to lose this game, it's the new manager first game so I expect there to be fire from the boys as they try to impress the new coach and perform better.

Winning this game should be considered a must for the Super Eagles, playing against a far weak team should be a reason to not just win but to get a very befitting victory, one that will be considered very deserving because the Super Eagles sometimes do struggle around team that are considered weak as compared to them, we are hoping this new coach has got something better because if he doesn't win this game, I will consider him as not deserving of heading the Super Eagles.

I was confused and thought the game will be played soon but the international break is scheduled in the next month, so there is enough time to analyse the situation. Theoretically, Nigeria is better but in the World Cup Qualifiers they have shameful results with no victory while Rwanda is taking few goals and collecting points. I want to see from now until March, how many injuries will be then support a team or another, but I am saying right now that a draw seems more logical for me.
