The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

As I already wrote on the official NEM forum:"Are you kidding me? 9 BTC for 1 oz of gold, which is worth 5 BTC? Good luck."
I wasn't banned. I didn't get bad karma (I don't care anyway). Who ever think it's a good idea to buy this silver and gold coins, has too much money.
But who cares? Let them buy, it's their decision. End of story. It has nothing to do with the project itself. It's just a marketing-thing, like NXT did, too.

And 3 million XEM is fair enough for me. Not because I have more than enough XEM, but I get the problem, that people will run too many nodes and earn all the rewards. But we are still discussing it, so I don't get why you (jadedjack) startet this childish and headless action and deleted everything. That's really stupid. Enough from me about this. It's not about persons, it's about the project. Again: End of story.

Feel free to come back, jadedjack. You have my blessing. Wink

I think that 2.25 million is more fair as this is the amount that you got from a NEMstake and i have been loyal and not dumped anything and others would have dumped after the initial dump and bought back tons of NEM anyway, so there always will be big bag holders, but i dont think the extra 750K of NEM is not enough to make alot of difference.

So, maybe the minimum should be 5,000,000 XEM as it was the suggestion from makoto. I don't know. However it will be at the end, people will cry anyway.

....

Only about 25% of xem is in the public domain. The rest is controlled by a few in the "core team".
That is where the funds for the node rewards, silver coin scam, etc come from.

Really at end i don't care today so much they are making awesome job today eg. that remote harvesting
i have waited for such kind stuff for AGEs in POS...

They are working they are smart... just to mansion Ripple CO sold 1/3 off all ripple and and what ?
Ripple still exist people dont  cry and we don't have WWIII because of that.

Investing in crypto is RISKY so you can join nem or not there is 1000+ coins around
you can choose whatever you want but there is no perfect land seriously.
Even stars like LTC PCC got 20x dumps over time so nowhere is perfect.

How about instead of "Silver NEM Coins" (I sure could care less for this), just redistribute the unclaimed stakes amongst the original stakeholder list.

Problem solved.

That would be very cool I would like that a lot Smiley

Is someone willing to design a "NEM Accepted Here" logo images?

I really need a professional "NEM Accepted Here" logo / badge to add to my site I hope someone can make one soon. If there is not one I don't know about already available.

Dont understand much about how these NEM nodes will work but basically i dont know where the 70K of NEM per day comes from?

It comes from you.

The "core team" on telegram decided to treat all the phoney accounts and socks as real, and decided to control those shares for themselves. (It is all about control with these guys. Halt deine Scheißfresse!)

It is similar as if you  hired a contractor to work on your home and he told you there he needed 10 men to do the job. But when he gets there there are 2 men. But, he still want's you to pay for the "ghosts" anyway.

Only about 25% of xem is in the public domain. The rest is controlled by a few in the "core team".
That is where the funds for the node rewards, silver coin scam, etc come from.

I'd like to hear why you wen't full retard all of a sudden. Care to elaborate what tipped you over ? (I'd genuienly like to hear)
Just deleting your posts and github repos with usefull stuff isn't exactly a nice way to go. If you think NEM sux and want to get away as far as possibel so be it....just don't be a dick about it.

Also nice FUD about the silver coins.

Also nice FUD about the silver coins.

What a FUD ?
And what are silver coins ?
----------------
BTW FUDs are every where today i look only on quality of dev work
dev screw people empty promisses = run away
2 simple rules.

PS: Maybe 3rd rule is to dump coins on pump because every pump have dump phase

FUDs,Scandals, pseudo problems , PnD - EVERY major coin have them so what a big deal.

Hello friends,

I am new to NEM (XEM) and altcoins in general.  I have a Windows7 and have purchased XEM on an exchange.
I would like to send my XEM to a wallet that is simple to use and functional.
Please give me a simple guide to the steps I should follow for installation of my wallet.

Thank you.

ps How long does it normally take to download the NEM wallet?

1) Download the software from http://bob.nem.ninja/installer/ and execute the installer.
2) Synchronizing from scratch needs about 35 minutes from my location, but depending on your internet connection it could take longer for.

No, it was your and others f$ck you response to me. Like you community have done before
You mean "f$ck responses" like this, which I gave you on telegram (others can confirm)?
Quote
mixmaster, [21.05.15 08:39]
Jadedjack, you think it's good if somebody runs 100 nodes and gets reward for all of them?
Quote
mixmaster, [21.05.15 18:43]
Some of us (some of the core marketing team) wanted to prepare for launch by having loads of nodes. We talked about this and you contributed ideas and solutions. The core devs then said we don't need that many nodes, so we didn't buy them. "Need" is not easy to define here as we don't know if we will need them at some time in the future (attacks or upcoming features and more users which leads to higher load on the network). My personal opinion doesn't matter by the way, because no single person alone decides about how we spend NEM funds, which is a good thing I think.

Now the way you describe it, it seems we made fun of you. This is soo wrong and I'm sure you know it, too. Having that script [comment: jadedjack built a script to automatically download, install and run a NEM node on linux servers] is very good and might be very useful in the future and I think (hope) you got reward for that. The fact that you fired up 14 nodes was your decision, you cannot expect to be paid afterwards if there was no agreement on that. That would be unfair to all other people.

Also I don't know anybody who shut down nodes because NEM price is low...
Quote
mixmaster, [22.05.15 10:05]
and about rewarding people who run multiple nodes, my opinion is this:
if we (core team, community, whoever -> common sense) think that we have not enough nodes and somebody is helping is by running multiple nodes (e.g. 14) then we should reward that person individually. but making the program interesting for people running multiple nodes will harm our decentralization. its not that hard to understand I think.
And by the way: We are discussing a way to enable people to run maybe 10 nodes (number should be discussed) without needing 10 times the full deposit amount. Just see this thread: https://forum.ournem.com/general-discussion/nem-node-reward-discussion/msg17314/#msg17314

It is pretty scummy of you to take my work and repost it after you know I want it removed.
You should consider publishing any of your work under certain licenses if you want to have control over the usage after you published anything.
If you think we will just watch how you harm the project and the whole community, you are wrong.

Don't confuse the "core team" with the developers. They are not the same people.
There is no such group like "core team". We have a core dev team and a core marketing team. It's all on here: http://blog.nem.io/overview/
And the NEM Funds are in multisig accounts with mixed people from core dev and core marketing team as cosigners. Stay with the facts Wink

yes i received my stake yesterday, after the initial round not caring too much for claiming.

happy to have some to play and experiment.

to me though being honest, and many would have guessed this already, NEM is like every bad idea i've seen in the history of the forum rolled into one coin.

oh well watching with interest Smiley

Of course it is...  anything more than the single Send function available in Bitcoin is very bad...   Roll Eyes

easy return back with that except i'm far from a bitcoin fan.

i've said many a time before todate the only thing good to ever come out of cryptos is the 'idea'.

however i'd also say if NEM was out first and bitcoin followed years later, i'd say bitcoin was a massive improvement ie mainly alot simplier and easy to deal with.

so yeah new or original code doesn't automatically make it better. though it seems the default sales pitch around this joint.

think the main thing required for any crypto to be useful as a currency is KISS

and i can tell you now bitcoin itself is too much for average joe to get his head around.
