This deserves a crosspost: know your address everywhere, everytime xmr.link is an OpenAlias service implementation to work specificly with Monero. With this service you can easly convert your monero address to any avaliable and short name of your choose instead of remembering an 95 char long key. (You will remember it, and most important, the ones who want/need to send you money will remember it!) Advantages of using xmr.link:- Know everywhere, everytime your address
- Already working with last simplewallet and mymonero
- DNSSEC avaliable
- 6 different domains that you can choose
- Easy to use
- Use your moneroj
This service is still under development, some minor bugs can be expected.Future implementations needed:- More information on the page (know how to use)
- DNSSEC in all domains (currently only avaliable on xmr.rocks)
- QR Codes avaliable to use on forums, websites, ect..
- Public API that allows to register your name remotely and annonymus based only on payment_id (should be usefull to implement on gui wallets)

This is looking prime for something to happen tonight!!!
I'm expecting a stable breakthrough into the 003 to 004 range soon. That will be an important consolidation zone and I expect the price will stay there for a while. A move towards 005 would be much more of a game changer.

Thank you for the link. I am reading, while drinking some mineral water, the posts of summer 2011 when bitcoin was a few bucks each. Can you imagine, it went from few dollars over 1000 usd within 2.5 years. Monero has better chances thanks to our emission curve which is steeply decreasing. What is your plan, what are you going to do with your money when it hits some serious numbers? My plan is to rebuy all my debts, buying some real estates, (dividend paying) stocks perhaps, perhaps some precious metals (I have not been owning much gold or silver since 2011), giving out some of money to causes I believe in, investing in start-ups that might do well and keep a large stash still Moneros.

It's a pity though, our curve is not as good as the UNO one
|
Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's. This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

It's a pity though, our curve is not as good as the UNO one UNO indeed has appealing emission curve. In this I agree with you. If UNO community was bigger, there is basically no limits to the price with their parameters. Our emission curve is steep (not as steep though, but compared to many other coins it is steep) - in a few years most of coins are mined given there is no long tail emission. Also Monero has relatively large and (bitcoin) wealthy community. Surprisingly many people whose most belongings are in bitcoins (most likely so).

It's a pity though, our curve is not as good as the UNO one I don't think so, any coin with a curve like UNO is not attractive to create enough network effect, you can't have a large base of dedicate users and investors like we have with Monero in a coin that is that "scarce". By comparison see what Dogecoin achieved with its silly billions of coins, Monero is the middle ground, scarcer than Bitcoin for many years/decades(?) to come, with an emission a lot slower than Doge and somewhat faster than Bitcoin, desirable now that cryptocurrencies are more popular and time became compressed for larger network effects get interesting. I was sarcastic. Sorry, it was silly to believe it would be obvious, it never works as intended over the internet...

This is looking prime for something to happen tonight!!! Sitting on .003 now. When we cross with some sustain, it may be violent, as you can decipher from the lack of liquidity.

BTC = Black Swan. BTC = Antifragile - "Some things benefit from shocks; they thrive and grow when exposed to volatility, randomness, disorder, and stressors and love adventure, risk, and uncertainty. Robust is not the opposite of fragile.

It's probably the most talked about topic on the whole bitcointalk's altcoin section. My bad lol, for not reading that forum! I was really referring to the constant popping up of Dash's name here with almost zero mention of the insta-mine. (I read through everything and then some in that link and saw it mentioned in 1 thread explicitly, that I remember anyway.) They should have asked them about that on the podcast interviews as well. It's not the most talked about topic in the alt coin section. Far from. DARSH* name pop up all the time, and should be followed with a legal disclaimer like so. To quote Nassim Taleb (author or Black Swan and Anti-fragility): "If you see fraud and don't shout fraud, you are a fraud". *Please note that DARSH has been instamined for 2 million.

Right, because, you know if bringing it up wasn't such a touchy subject then surely the problem would stand on its own merits.

I didn't want to withhold this from you guys, it is pretty hilarious in fact -> http://pastebin.com/pPNf8y6LMight have, next to the awareness Peter Todd raised, sparkled some of the rally. That was funny. Thanks for sharing. Just realised zhalox is an old-time (2011) bitcoiner. And looking at the polonibox log it's not the first time he's flashed amounts.

Without a WalletNotify API within bitmoneroed does that limit the ability of exchanges or potentially a marketplace from incorporating Monero as the primary transaction payement service? And at only $0.75 per XMR, don't you guys think Monero is still severely undervalued if it ever became incorporated as the main payment method of a marketplace whether it be an underground marketplace or not...
