Ah, back to the buying zone. Not everyone buying Monero is interested in it long term as we can see. They hop from trend to trend making 20-30% profit here and there. Nothing wrong with that, although it tends to bring some annoying trolls.

Others have a different game plan. Personally I want to buy as much XMR as possible before the next bitcoin rise. Or, less likely but not improbable, a flight of capital from BTC to something better.

I plan to hold XMR for the next 4 years at minimum, no buying and selling like crazy trying to time the top & bottom. 10, 20, 30 thousand dollars profit is not going to change my life, so I buy and hold.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

So when is this "Chinese Botnet" going to dump? Almost time to buy again.

I would go with they already did, Monero got severely hammered down when emission was still high and there was a lot less people trying to buy coins than now. I don't think they have as many coin as they say.

Is that all they could do? Haha then this coin is the most stable it's ever been!

Bad for me though, I sold at parity and have to wait for a dip to get back in.

Is this Monero's time to shine? To me the stage is set and bitcoin is ripe for a non-hostile takeover. A Director with the Bitcoin Foundation has gone public and said that they are essentially bankrupt and dysfunctional.

Check it out:

The "Bitcoin Foundation" failing and shutting down would be one of the best things that could happen to Bitcoin, but this is somewhat off topic for here.

I disagree, It has bearing just as DRK's decline does.

AAAnd you know it's a FUD campaign/Dump to lower price to accumulate as TauntStewie is back.

Boy you retards are more predictable than a case of herpes.

I have to admit I have been chuckling a lot today thinking about how INSTANTLY the tone of this thread went from "How soon 'till bitcoin parity?!??!" to "OMG!!! we are on the way to all time lows!!!".

It is easier to just breathe deep and watch...  Buy a little on bad days... try to sell a little of that on a plus day...  never trade so much that when things surprise I don't feel too burned.

Deep breath!

It's crypto currency, and it's acting volatile, and people are surprised?  Cheesy

It's easier to chuckle if someone is well above water though.

Oh... a lot of my stake was bought in the 3-4 zone... I can still laugh. Wink

opennux I deleted your reply because you quoted a huge trollish post and added little to it. The original post was trollish but it was a somewhat relevant point of view so I let it go by but let's stay on topic and trim long posts when quoting them, especially least interesting posts. Once is enough.

Bought at .0038, put a sell in at .0046. Missed it by that much. Is this the start of another multi-month decline or a blip? Thank you for your valuable insight.

Come on, Monero's success is not even nearly related to rpietila or any other people who consider XMR as an "investment", and not a technological revolution...

I would not be surprised if the bottom of this bear is higher than the previous and we might be forming upward triangle (or ascending triangle) on the big picture.
That would be clearly bullish sign.

I am trying to fish some coins from 2's and if it go back to teens, I will fish some more. Hopefully the latter will not happen though.

We will see what happens.

I don't think we will have the chance to buy XMR in the range of 10s. If we will I will double my stash. I even consider accumulating some more in the current price tag, but not have enough funds ATM. XMR is a pretty nice investment if you want my opinion.

Yes your opinion is highly appreciated.  Smiley

I have similar plans, not to double my stash at teens though but anyway, I am seriously considering making new transfer to bitstamp, not to buy and hold btc but buy btc and immediately dump those btc towards Monero, especially if Monero gets even cheaper than it is currently.  Roll Eyes

There is nowhere else for them to run, their arguments were promptly debunked here, the mass dump panicking failed and the moneroj is once again in stronger hands.
Still bystanders could experience this as pump&dump group action on a coin with stalled development, accompanied by way to much noise surrounding it. Is it true?
Yes.

Its dificuld to tell, markets will play as big players wish... but you may know that the first year aniversary is comming, alot of things happening in github, its possible another up trend right now, but only time will tell....

But be aware of the opinions here, the majority of the people in this thread are here for the long run (me including)

But there are plenty of people with coins bought between 0.001-0.003

There are very few people who were
1) not heavily involved in XMR before 0.001-0.003;
2) who are not ardent believers now, and
3) who did buy in that range, and
4) have not already sold.

The other people (who of course did buy all the coins mined in that period) are not selling at these prices except trickle quantities. See my prior post.

Actually, "these people" is a group that is increasing now. The quantity of "XMR for short-term speculation" is growing during the uptrend.

I guess we shall see in the next few days. If it drops then I guess there were enough people in the profit zone to sell now (I'll rule out "non-believers for now)

Seems there were enough.

"We are just fools. We insanely believe that we can replace one politician with another and something will really change. The ONLY possible way to achieve change is to change the very system of how government functions. Until we are prepared to do that, suck it up for your future belongs to the madness and corruption of politicians."

I'd say multi-month decline. What I have found with Monero is that too many people don't actually care about the technology and only want profits.

I'd expect prices close to 0.0038 around August if the past performance of this coin is any indicator.
Also the bottom will most certainly be below 0.002, even I have sold a few coins because I will certainly pick them up cheaper in a couple of days.
