This coin deserves much more attention and value. It doesn't waste electricity unlike most coins. Zero premine and no financial backing mean there is no promotion or infrastructure. Sad but true.

Awesome coin for sure.

One reason it doesn't get attention is that it is not listed on the main coinmarketcap page, since the explorer they use is offline. GAP has it's own page if
you look for it http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/gapcoin/ but is not listed on the main http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/views/all/ page.

There is actually a working explorer at http://www.multifaucet.tk/index.php?blockexplorer=GAP which only has to be submitted to coinmarketcap to get
GAP back on the main page, which I'll do.

add
Just realized that block explorer sends a person through advertisements when they search an address. Probably not acceptable to coinmarketcap.

add
Apparently coinmarketcap.com did not accept that block explorer and did not add GAP to the page http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/views/all/

If anyone knows of a working block explorer that lets a person search addresses directly, please post it.

I would like to host a pool for GAP @ 0% fee. Can anyone post a good tutorial , I run a cryptonote pool but the back and front ends are different than what I see that was last at github by noncepool.

Or if anyone can point me to the right person to request help from, thanks.

Last 'working' pool source for Gapcoin from the old noncepool can be found here;

Think you already found that one though.  Smiley

Don't think that Nvidia GPU mining was working properly with the latest miner !?! AMD was (mostly) OK though.

You might also try contacting J0nn9 at info@gapcoin.org

He seems to come by this thread every few months and probably answers mining questions.

Anyone speaking Chinese to submit Gapcoin to Chinese exchanges? There is a huge crypto audience. Gapcoin is unique pretty much, but who knows about it in China?

For the two biggest "math coins", Primecoin and Riecoin, the biggest activity, by far, is in China.

Today

Primecoin
#   Source    Volume (24h)
1   BTC38     $ 13,736
2   Poloniex  $ 1,260
3   BTER      $ 382

Riecoin
#  Source      Volume (24h)
1  BTC38       $ 6,257
2  Poloniex    $ 163

Instant pump and dump

Instant pumps and dumps are not profitable. Whoever bought a load of GAP still holds most of them. There must be a reason.

no-ice-please, you made my day Grin

what the hell happened? Cheesy

This happened. 76 BTC volume is quite impressive for a coin which moved 0.1 BTC on a good day in the past half a year or so.
