1001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the hell are people still selling at these prices? on: August 25, 2015, 05:06:32 AM
You can see that even here on Bitcointalk many users doesn't know a shit about Bitcoin, so you can be sure that most speculators have no clue about what they have in their hands.

which makes bitcoin the failure  Shocked
1002  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the hell are people still selling at these prices? on: August 24, 2015, 11:55:06 PM
Current economic crashes of Asian markets and it follow ups happening everywhere else will make bitcoin price to go even lower. It is only the beginning of the price decline.
It will be wise to wait a bit and the buy BTC. Bitcoin is not directly linked to FIAT economy and can be viewed as different entity but people are not noticing this trait and treat BTC as another FIAT currency.
Hence we have bitcoin price drop every time there is stock market crash.

bitcoin should be a safehaven from market crashes, and would have been if not for the XT v core dramas  Undecided

1004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ban ICOs on: August 24, 2015, 01:22:50 PM
while you're at it: ban self-moderated threads too. they're on par with ICOs.

2 years ago i was anti self-mod threads myself, but now shills use every thread to plug their scamcoins.

I assure you, whether or not they agree with banning ICOs, no on topic (non abusive) posts will be deleted.
1005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ban ICOs on: August 24, 2015, 07:05:13 AM
i think people are on somewhat of a different page to what i am suggesting.

i'm not suggest banning anything from the world/internet in general.

again this forum is bitcointalk, not unregisteredunlicensedsecuritytalk, notgetrichquicktalk, notgamblingatyourownrisktalk, but bitcointalk.

1006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ban ICOs on: August 24, 2015, 05:19:13 AM
ICO are bad, but scam Devs, P&Dumpers, shills, trolls, are ok?

Well I was a noob when I invested in ETH and made out quite well, even though Hero's like you were advising me not to, instead I was getting advice to invest in shitty coins with no purpose or future.

When someone says he wants to protect the noobs, what he is really saying is that he wants to get a crack at them first. He considers it poaching, like they are his property.

well i don't give investment advice. and personally don't see p2p currencies as a way of making fiat, nor have i ever made a fiat profit from any activities in crypto.

i'm here because i'd like to see this community develop a proper usable p2p currency.

yes and any proven scam whether it be ICO or otherwise should be banned.

1007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ban ICOs on: August 24, 2015, 04:26:09 AM
they are 100% scams, bad enough the 101 shitcoins pumped out from here a day, atleast stop the ICO scams.

wtf, so which crypto cops are gonna enforce your ban? ... why stop at ICO's, lets BAN bad hairdo's, terrorism, drugs, religion, and idiotic attention seeking threads

how about you turn off the PC for a while and go get a life bro

i'm obviously refering to banning them from being promoted on this forum, just like plenty of illegal scams have been in the past.

there is nothing idiotic about banning illegal scams on this forum, this forum is about discussing bitcoin and other alternative currencies, not a get rich quick off the latest scam promotion forum.

ICO scams give alternative currencies a bad rep, and often suck in and burn newbies to this community.

1008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Countdown to Litecoin Block Reward Halving on: August 24, 2015, 04:12:53 AM
It's impossible to understand the LTC hate.

Most coins and platforms are complicated shit nobody needs or wants...
Where the primary purpose is to transfer wealth from idiots to scammers ("Devs").

But day after day...
The basic LTC wallet does what it's meant to do = BE MONEY...
Sent through 1000s of Money Transmitters at the liquidity level of $5 million/day.

Today's exchange volume:

BTC 75%
LTC 10%
ETH 5%

Bitcoin's days at #1 are numbered.

100% agree.

if members of this forum want a crypto to succeed (not just here to make quick fiat) why not back the one thats consistantly on top of the alts (and remains so without all hype). one of the few with a known dev and not a scam.
1009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Inside New York's Attempt to Regulate Bitcoin on: August 23, 2015, 02:04:08 PM
I'm struggling to understand why, as soon as Lawsky crafted the regulation (BitLicense), he conveniently stepped away from managing and overseeing its implementation.

Now he is opening a virtual currency and cybersecurity consulting firm? Am I hearing this correctly?

1011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Index Fund on: August 22, 2015, 11:38:23 PM
Does anything like this exist? Either a managed fund that seeks to invest in the most promising altcoins, or just a broad industry index, would be useful for people who don't have time to keep track of all the little developments.

just what cryptos need more bs financial products. why head on all the same roads as the fiat world?
1012  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is bitcoin better than litecoin? on: August 22, 2015, 11:27:35 PM
bitcoins better because there's now 2 of them; XT and core so now everyones playing a cool game with them; double or nothing  Wink
1013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ban ICOs on: August 22, 2015, 11:25:20 PM
they are 100% scams, bad enough the 101 shitcoins pumped out from here a day, atleast stop the ICO scams.

1016  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Anti-XTers Are Harming Bitcoin on: August 22, 2015, 02:38:42 PM
"I think it should be clear to everyone that bigger blocks will likely mean more full nodes around the world, and therefore more decentralization, not less. This will make bitcoin even more difficult to control, censor, or be stopped by anyone, including governments." - Roger Ver

Remind me why Roger is still relevant in 2015?

Litecoinguy, we all want bigger blocks. No one is arguing for either smaller blocks or same size blocks. Some people claim that the Core people don't want bigger blocks, but their position is being misrepresented.

What we're arguing about is how to increase it. Not by how much (asking that question is like the old classic: "how long is a piece of string?"). That debate is over already.
I though Core didn't want bigger blocks and wanted to keep it to 1MB forever...

if core increase blocksize ( I couldn't care less how they do it ) XT can go fuck itself.

yes well pro xt want everyone to believe the fight is about blocksize  Roll Eyes
1017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If somthing bad happend to bitcoin what cryptocurrency will you use ? on: August 22, 2015, 03:06:58 AM
I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.  Wink no need to decide now as bitcoin is still alive and well.

As long as we have one node and miner  running on core then the block-chain lives on!  This is what i see happening:

1. XT Is out everyone!! Herpa Derp! 75% lets jump on the Gav coin (peace be up on his name)
2. Two chains live on for a while, with core having much less hashing power. (potential for double spends, whatevs.. wait for 20 confirmations for expensive shit)
3. After a little while all the schmuck's who jumped on Shitcoin-xt start to see signs of even more centralization, black/white listing and other types of fuckary
4. Smart ones panic and sell, and dumb ones get stuck holding a bag of Shitcoin-xts
5. True BTC gets the nodes/hashing power back
6. we all live on happily ever after without mike and gavin (peace be up on his name) and they can go hang out with magical tux.

tba tis the way i've seen as likely too

even if xt seems a winner at one point, i think core will win in the end. i think there can't be any other way, no alt pretending to be btc is going to become btc, thats insanity.

there's always going to be users who never accept xt as bitcoin, they may not be the most vocal but there'll always be a good stab of purists.

1018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the perfect hedge for our bitcoins? on: August 22, 2015, 02:47:47 AM
litecoin, because bitcoin can take all the hits and gives litecoin the early heads up on whats coming and how to improve before it becomes a problem.

1019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If somthing bad happend to bitcoin what cryptocurrency will you use ? on: August 22, 2015, 02:43:53 AM
bitcoins just the gun fodder so a proper p2p currency can take hold  Lips sealed

let the corporate, new world bankers types take it Wink
1020  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you use old Bitcoin if XT wins? on: August 21, 2015, 02:20:56 PM
i'm indifferent to price

value is more important.

even is bitcoinxt was to win this battle bitcoin core will still be kept going and eventually win.
