1282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do some gamblers actually win? on: April 03, 2020, 05:35:46 PM
Of course. If no one wins in gambling, then why are we still gambling, right? The thing is, winning is not always given to us. We are lucky if we win but not if we don't. Not all the time, we experience winning so we keep on playing with the aim of getting profit. You can earn in dice but not to the point that you will always win. So basically, earning profit still depends on us.

If we get contented with what we had won, then that's the time we earned a profit. But if you're not contented, and still keep on betting until you have lost all your winnings, it's your fault for losing it at the end.
1283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health 🤕symptoms on: April 03, 2020, 02:45:10 PM
It's not actually the crypto that can help people to eliminate their addictions, the process is on them. Although I really think that going to a physical casino also contributes to other vices. Even if you will go to the casino to gamble, the environment you encounter affects your other habits. Gamblers tend to try to fit in with the environment when they keep on seeing people in the casino are also drinking, smoking, and even taking drugs. It's very unhealthy for a person's health.

Crypto is not the primary solution but it can help since you won't have to go to other places. You won't have to try what other gamblers are doing as well. But if smoking and drinking already become your habits, it's still hard to stop even if you are only gambling online. If that becomes your habit, it's harder to change even if you try to change your environment. Knowing that you can still earn money by gambling, it will still give you the eager to smoke, buy drinks, or even buy drugs online with the use of crypto. You will only change if you want to.

1285  Local / Pilipinas / [Updated]Philippine SEC warns of crypto Ponzi Scheme on: April 03, 2020, 08:21:04 AM

Code:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5217584.0

1286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoronaCoin More drama, third exit scam and discord deleted on: April 03, 2020, 07:27:26 AM
Isn't it an obvious scam (or joke)? I wonder who will invest in such a coin?
Anyway, I think this community did a great job with scam accusations and stuff. We need to "protect" newbies from apparent scams so that crypto can be mainstream.
Probably, no one will invest in this kind of coin and I would rather spend my money on valuable coins than spending it on another sh*tcoin. I have already seen different token about Corona Virus, and I'm pretty sure all of them are sh*tcoin and AFAIK, the YOBIT also made this kind of coin and I guess no one here in the forum attempted to invest to that coin because I know it's just a waste of money. That's right mate, we should always protect the newbies because they're always the victim of this kind of scam, and I know there is still a newbie who falls on this. Be cautious and aware so we can eliminate those scam projects.

For me, we should stay away on this kind of project, and don't ever spend our money on this sh*tcoin.
1287  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: TPT - Toilet Paper Token Listed sa Yobit ano opinyon nyo dito. on: April 03, 2020, 05:45:14 AM

1290  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandemic Coronvirus Impact On Global economy on: April 02, 2020, 04:51:22 PM
I don't see any relation between the virus and the demand for a decentralized economy. This virus is not literally opening for a decentralized economy rather, it gives more room for digital advancement. A decentralized economy does not guarantee that it will maintain social distancing, and it is different from digital adaption. This COVID-19 issue is giving way for digital and online transactions to be done to avoid physical and close contact with another person. The digital transaction is one of the best options in this kind of crisis. From buying and selling, bill payments, and even donation.

It's not like the decentralized economy will help to resolve the problem. In fact, we need people who will lead us in this problem we are facing. We can't solve it if we have our own movement.
1291  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ScamViruS - List of Scam Projects on: April 02, 2020, 02:57:30 PM
This takes a great effort. That's very nice of yours, op. It's helpful to avoid getting into a scam project. Scams are definitely everywhere, and we can't stop them from doing that. The only thing we can do is to prevent ourselves from getting scammed. By this thread, at least we can identify and avoid these scam projects.

1292  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Start Learning about Bitcoin while Stuck in Quarantine! on: April 02, 2020, 12:57:10 PM
This thread of yours is great. I remember back then, I was having a hard time understanding cryptocurrency. Watching some basic youtube videos about blockchain and cryptocurrency is helpful when you're starting to learn about it. It's one of the things I did to learn crypto, and I'm glad that you included some youtube videos for beginners to watch. Aside from those terms, there are still a lot of terms that newbies can encounter that may seem unfamiliar for them. Maybe they can search for it on their own, but that's really nice for the OP to include some common terms.

Just advice for beginners, it may look so hard to learn cryptocurrency at the beginning, but if you will just put any effort into learning it, you can understand it. Btw, thanks to the OP for providing this information for newbies. It can help them a lot.

1294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble right after coronavirus outbreaks? on: April 02, 2020, 09:49:42 AM
There are still carriers of that virus even after the lockdown is lifted. Most of them are asymptomatic so you don't have any idea that they have that. So it is really better if you will wait for few months and let go of your desires. Wait for the government to have its people and you vaccinated. If you got your shot, you will be at least at peace with yourself not to contract the disease.
Yes it is still not safe but I think if OP really want to gamble I think the best way is to put his money on crypto instead so that he can play casinos online, it is more recommended and good in times like this. If I will gamble again in pyshical casinos maybe on 4th quarter of this year for me to be sure that the virus here is really gone.
It's not that I badly want to gamble after this pandemic... I'm just asking for other's opinion, like yours. What will you do after this virus, if you're going to gamble right away or not. Since it's taking quite time, I'm curious about it, that's why I asked. It doesn't literally mean I really want to gamble that much.

~snip
I said most of us here won't immediately go to casino. Meaning, including me won't go right away. I know that we all have priorities, and we need to get back what we lose that's why I understand why most answers won't immediately go. But I still think that there are some people that will go. Those are the rich people who doesn't need to worry about their expenses during the quarantine because they have a lot of money. You know that most big gamblers are the rich people, so probably they're missing it.

I would defenitely gamble after this crisis. I miss playing to casino because I just used to gamble through online only as the corona virus outbreak started to arise in our country last month. Although it's quite decent to stay put at where I used to gamble now, the fun that casino games still gives me a different satisfaction. For now for the sake our health and other's people health, it's just better to stay at home. Sooner things will to to normal and that's we should look for.
Well I understand and respect your decision. Just be careful with the people you will encounter once you go to casinos because it's still not 100% sure that we are COVID free. Also, sanitize your hands after holding on some equipments and tools there.
1295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 100% guaranteed no loosing sport betting method on: April 02, 2020, 07:27:15 AM
Just seeing 100%, I can already say that it's almost impossible. Even soap can't kill 100% bacteria, what more about gambling? Lol just kidding. But it seems unrealistic that it's 100% risk-free. In gambling there is always a risk. When you invest your money, it's already a risk so how can you say it's risk free?

Reading what other says, it seems like the risk free is on the captain. But how about your member? Isn't it unfair? And if it's actually true, why does it's not making noise here in the forum? If it's a risk free for the captain, then every players should have been creating their own syndicate. I don't know, it's still kinda vague, and I'm still in doubt. It's not gambling if it's risk free because both gambling and risk are interconnected to each other.
1296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Longest Break You Have On Not Gambling on: April 01, 2020, 04:38:33 PM
It's easy for me not to gamble since I am not addicted to it. I don't exactly know how long but if I'm not mistaken, it's for about three months or even longer. Since I am still a student, it's not too long ago since I started gambling, and I told myself that I won't get too attached to it. It was fun to play and gamble, but I had to take a break to focus on my studies and other stuff. I also had some short breaks every time I became so busy with school, as I don't want to get affected.

Looking at the current situation, I guess I will also have to take a break on gambling since I need to prioritize my budget for the essential things. Since there is quite of expenses, I need to earn it back before I can go back to gambling. I guess that is another break for me.

1297  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help Need About Getting merit how I can get merit easily on: April 01, 2020, 01:34:20 PM
Merit is not your main goal here in the forum. It's about learning and sharing your knowledge with others. You said you are working hard to earn merit, I won't question your hard work but, it's not enough. You are still starting here in the forum, don't expect you will easily get merit. Other users take years to get a higher rank.

To answer your question, you can earn merit by giving quality posts here. Make use of your knowledge and skills, then share it with us. Try looking at some posts here with a lot of merits, then try to understand what makes that post-worthy of merits. And to correct your thinking, you can't get merits right away. It takes time and effort. Like what I always say, giving merit depends on each of us. If I think your post is good enough, then I can give you one. There are no certain criteria for receiving merits, but it has to be useful and informative.
1298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Business That Survives when a Crisis on: April 01, 2020, 12:48:09 PM
Obviously, the online casino has a higher chance of surviving in this current situation. It does not require going outside, and it's safer to gamble inside our houses. In fact, it gives them an opportunity to gain more users because gamblers can't gamble outside so they have no choice but to gamble online. Even without this pandemic, the online gambling industry has the chance of getting more attention. What more now that it's not safe to go outside.

Some big e-sports events were also postponed but it doesn't stop e-sport activities because you can still bet with it. However, for the lottery, it's not available right now in my country due to enhanced community quarantine. So maybe, lottery business is still affected in my country. I don't know in other countries.

Same with you, I just also get infected and I noticed that it already spread all over the forum  Grin. Anyone who has the vaccine for this? Stay away from those infected and do social distancing if you don't want to become like us.
