661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Importance of Bitcoin during the Pandemic on: August 13, 2020, 01:52:54 PM
maybe your intentions are good,, so that people avoid the covid-19 attack. However, in my opinion, the use of bitcoin as an alternative to online payments is less effective, because it seems that in every country including mine, many electronic money services have been widely used for various payment needs during this pandemic.
for people who already understand the cryptocurrency system, it is possible to make bitcoin a job like trading or even for investment. But you have to realize, not everyone has this expertise, even there are still many people who are not familiar with bitcoin.
During the pandemic, it is more noticeable that people who are adopting digital payment are using other popular methods like PayPal. Bitcoin is one of the other options to avoid the physical touching of things that may help in spreading the virus. But just like what you said, it requires a deeper understanding and not everyone is still aware of bitcoin.

The same goes for people who lost their jobs. Not everyone who lost their job can understand bitcoin easily. For us, we saw the importance of bitcoin even with or without the pandemic, but I think it's not always applicable for everyone especially that they still lack awareness about it.
662  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Warning: SEC issued a warning against FORSAGE! on: August 13, 2020, 01:06:04 PM

663  Economy / Economics / Re: Will African countries be developed? on: August 13, 2020, 11:06:28 AM
We can say that Africa is blessed with natural resources, but these resources won't work on their own to improve African countries. For me, one of the primary reason is corruption. It's already given that they have resources that can be their asset but because of mismanagement and corruption of some people, the people can't benefit from it. With corruption, there is a lack of education, health care system, and development because they don't prioritize it. Also, wars, terrorism, and other conflicts are visible in African countries that are also one of the factors.

So I guess in order to slowly fix the problems, they need to have good and efficient authorities to lead them.
664  Economy / Economics / Re: You want to become a millionaire, here is the secret formula on: August 12, 2020, 03:33:33 PM
It seems easy by just looking at it, but the process itself is what makes it hard to earn $1 million. It's not easy to sell a million products if you only have a small business since you will need a wider range of customers. And also, in order to sell a product that costs $1 million, you should need to have bigger capital. Meaning, you can't make that kind of product if you are not a millionaire already. This simple and easy concept only applies to those who are already millionaires and have a bigger business.

665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm dumping my coins because.. on: August 12, 2020, 01:55:52 PM
I think most of the people here have the same reasons why dumping, because it costs money or because the token doesn't have much progress (it has a small volume and doesn't have any updates)
When people are seeing the project didn't have a lot of potentials and then they will be dumping their tokens to the market. Their decision will be affected by the progress that has already made by the team and how good the product that has already released.
I would agree with you @CuriousGeorge and for me, I will also dump it if ever I saw the coin that has no potential in the future like it can't be useful to all users who have it. It's better to sell it before it loses its value in the market. However, if you a have coin that has potential and the team behind keeps on doing their best to make great development in the coin it's better to hold it than to dump it.

Probably, the immediate selling of coins of bounty hunters is also caused by the dump in the market and we all know this really affects the progress of the project. And we should always look for the bounty project who has the potential so we will not waste our time and efforts. Then, just keep on holding your coins if you see it can have great in the future.
666  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Win any BlackJack Hand | Strategy Calculator on: August 12, 2020, 12:57:10 PM
I don't know how a calculator would help every gambler to give them a good results or outcome in playing blackjacks in any cards in their hands. But if it really works, I think bringing and using this kind of tool inside the casino would definitely help you to gain more profit when playing blackjack.
We can't even fully trust op about what the said that using the calculator, it will help us get the best result. It's better for op to show us some proof that using the calculator will truly help in gaining more profit.

For me, it's just another promotion for the site. I mean, it's part of marketing but it does not really give 100% guarantee that it will always make you win. And I tried to check the link but it says that the site is offline.

667  Economy / Economics / Re: Some chinese guy bought most expensive face mask in the world $1.5 million. on: August 12, 2020, 09:35:03 AM
These rich people are probably already paying enough tax on the government. And there's nothing wrong if he wants to buy an expensive mask since he's capable of buying it. Yes, it might not guarantee him that he will be safe from the virus with this expensive mask, but let him do what he wants.

It's not even selfish or stupidity because that's what rich people do. They buy expensive things because they want to. If he's selfish for buying an expensive mask for himself, does it mean all rich people are being selfish when they buy branded and expensive products just to fulfill their wants?
668  Economy / Reputation / Re: Just hit Legendary. Great achievement to me. Long path. :) on: August 12, 2020, 07:53:57 AM
Congratulations on achieving Legendary rank! It would be definitely hard to reach that rank if you are not exerting efforts and making contributions to the forum. But since you manage to get that rank, it only means you did well and you deserve it.

Congrats again bitmover!
669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What bitcoin adoption really is. on: August 11, 2020, 05:26:12 PM
Bitcoin adoption based on my opinion is that Bitcoin has started to be trusted by many people to be used as a means of payment.
But everyone must have their own opinion regarding Bitcoin adoption. We should not have to debate which opinion which is true,
as long as the goal is positive in my opinion there is no need to question it.
That's exactly, we are here for a reason and we want to promote crypto space as a new form of payment. However, many people had mistakenly understood it because of what they heard about scamming and fraud. We can have this Bitcoin fully adopted once we all done with the doubts but openly see the best and possible benefits that we will get from this new technology.

Anyway, will that to say that Bitcoin adoptions take time, not just a year or a decade but, it is more than that as what we imagine. We can certainly think that people will all adopt bitcoin for a reason and it depends on what it is in their mind, the same thing as not all people used USD.
Bitcoin has grown trust from people over the past years, it just shows that people need enough knowledge and understanding about bitcoin to fully realize what bitcoin can do, either for payment, as a store value, or any other benefits of bitcoin.

Doubts about bitcoin are inevitable since scamming a and fraud will always be there. But even with people doubting bitcoin, I believe that we can still achieve mass adoption. And I also agree that we just need enough time for mass adoption since we are still at the beginning of it.
670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What we can expect the price of eth at the end of 2020? on: August 11, 2020, 04:01:22 PM
Hmm, I expect it will range around 500$ to 800$ at the end of 2020 and it might probably hit its all-time price again once they release the Ethereum 2.0. Still, in the end, we really don't know what will be the price of Ethereum but all of us will be happy if ever it pumps at the end of this year. The Ethereum already have good progress on its price and hoping it will not be dump again to 200$ or below. Let's just wait and watch on what will gonna happen on the price of Ethereum.
671  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Buhay pa ba talaga si LoyalCoin? on: August 11, 2020, 02:20:09 PM
672  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donald Trump signs executive orders banning TikTok and WeChat on: August 11, 2020, 01:45:36 PM
We all know that China has been banning giant apps like Facebook even before. So if China does it, the US can also do what they want especially if they are seeing that TikTok is a threat to their people. But if they keep on doing such an act, it won't stop and might cause a bigger issue between the two.

As I searched for information about this issue, they still have time to find someone who will buy TikTok before they will officially ban it in the US.  What I think is that a giant company will still end up buying it, since we are also aware that the app is so popular right now so they can't just let it be down.
673  Economy / Economics / Re: the billion dollars question on: August 11, 2020, 10:41:03 AM
Due to the pandemic, a lot of people are struggling financially and that's probably one of the main reasons why there is a big decline in demand in all sectors you have mentioned. Some people might find online shopping not that "essential" since what matters for a lot of people right now is to save money because we're not sure until when this virus will spread. Or since some businesses are down, there's a low demand for IT, but they are not dead, also a lot of sectors are facing the same challenges.

But as I have personally noticed in my country, the demand for online shopping is actually increasing since some people tend to find it safer and more convenient than going outside. So I think the basis is still not enough to say they are dead. There is just a decline but after this pandemic, these sectors will boom again.
674  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reminder: There Is No Such Thing As Easy Money on: August 10, 2020, 05:08:45 PM
I have seen a lot of similar activities about "easy money" and people usually post them on big social media platforms. They would usually ask you to refer to your friends to earn money,  while some are by watching videos and such. But I don't really believe such things especially without searching about it.

A lot of people tend to believe in this kind of scheme without even researching. Most of them were not even legally registered to the authorities so it's really better to search first before doing this kind of thing cause you will just end wasting your efforts and lose your money instead of earning.
675  Economy / Economics / Re: Are people losing faith from centralized organizations? on: August 10, 2020, 02:09:42 PM
I don't really know if it has the same situation in my country, but if you're in a third world country, that's possible. Now that we are facing a pandemic, it's inevitable for others to be in a situation where they have to withdraw their remaining money in the bank probably because they need it for their necessity. Also for people keeping funds in their hands, maybe because they have no access to banks.

However, even if withdrawal from banks is increasing as well as the number of people investing in gold and crypto, we can't really say that they are moving from centralized to other methods of investments because they are losing their trust since we're not sure if those are the same people.
676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Stable coin is the Best for Investment This Year on: August 10, 2020, 11:44:01 AM
The post of the OP was just a cheap try to create awareness for "his" stable coin Titan Coin.
It really seems this is another thread for promoting his coin which is the Titan Coin. All people who replied here are aware that stable coin is not for investment and no one really thinks that stable coin is good for investment. It's better to invest our money in other cryptocurrencies than putting it in a stable coin. And, for a stable coin, I will prefer to use USDT and BUSD, then we should probably ignore the Titan Coin that OP's promoting. For the best investment for this year, it's better to focus on bitcoin or other strong coins in the market and not on stable coins.
677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter/Youtube Bitcoin Scams on: August 10, 2020, 10:14:58 AM
We have seen a lot of similar problems on different popular social media platforms so it's not new at all. Even if these platforms such as Twitter and YouTube try their best to take down those scam giveaways or anything related to it, there are still people who fall for scammers and they can't do anything about it.

We always see that it's best to educate ourselves and other people but we cannot really teach everyone on the internet. I guess we can just do the simplest way by reporting those scammers and maybe giving awareness to other people as well.
679  Economy / Economics / Re: Wealth distribution, and tragedy of the commons. on: August 09, 2020, 12:15:32 PM
I would agree to @davis196 that money does not just stay in the bank. When rich people deposit their money in the bank, it will still continue to circulate, but their assets will remain the same unless it will increase from the interest rate or decrease from spending it. Banks even promote depositing money in the bank than saving it at your houses to keep the money circulating.

And I also think rich people are spending their money more than the middle and lower class because they have more money to spend. It's just that, the way they spend it, it also comes back to them by gaining income just like what you have said "money management". For me, even if we keep on redistributing money to give everyone an equal amount of wealth, it will just come back to what we have now. Rich and poor people will always be there, not only because of money but also because people don't have the same opportunities in life.
680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos Scared of Lawsuits on: August 09, 2020, 09:01:15 AM
I don't think it will win in any court because the virus is everywhere and it's invisible the accuser will have a hard time proving that he really gets the CoVid in the facility, they could have got it in their homes in while travelling while in the market or while in the street it's hard to established the fact on this case but I don't like casinos open at this point of time people should only stay home and restrict their moves.

If the government allowed businesses and casinos to open now, there are also protocols that need to follow. And even if it's hard to know where the virus came from, if the casino shows that they are not following the protocols imposed by the government, their business can also be in danger. Even if they started to operate again, they are obliged to follow the rules.

In my country, when people upload a picture showing the lack of social distancing and such in an establishment, the business can get a warning and fine from the authorities, so I think it's the same that's why small casino operators are afraid that they might get a lawsuit. But if they're following the protocols, they should not be afraid of it.
