321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler living in England makes a $5M bet on Trump on: November 04, 2020, 01:09:41 PM
I was monitoring the election hours ago and I can say that it's really a close one. I'm not really into political betting and I can't say who might win since I'm just basing on the live statistic and since it's close, results can still change. For that person who bet such a huge amount of money, that is really something. I guess he's confident enough that Trump will win the 2020 election because he spends $5M to vote for Trump. If Biden wins, it's a big loss, but if Trump wins, then he will earn a lot, now I'm more interested in his reaction after the result came out.
322  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: ABS CBN Youtube account Hacked (Ripple scam giveaway) on: November 04, 2020, 08:27:25 AM

324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Follow your mind! on: November 03, 2020, 04:20:56 PM
There are so many costly mistakes investors make that may be regrettable. Such as
1. Borrowing money to invest
2. Greedy expectations in reward
3. Total reliance of people's opinion. Among many others.
My emphasy is the third. It is good to listen to people opinions but not all opinion counts. Many here just make confident predictions that has no base, go to prediction topics in our bitcointalk to confirm this.and you know how painful it is when you lose just on someones prediction. It is better you follow your mind during investment and bear the consequencies thereafter.
Borrowing money to invest is not my thing, although it can be a good thing when your investment is doing good, it's still too risky for me. As for number three, it's okay to take or look for other opinions but don't just rely on it. Instead, use their opinions as your basis when deciding on an investment. Actually, I prefer looking at a lot of opinions from other people to see their points, but I always make my research because it's my investment, when I lose, it's my responsibility, not theirs.

326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you know about Lending platforms?????? on: November 03, 2020, 01:09:16 PM
Do you think that it is enough basis to consider their team as trustworthy and legitimate? Because it seems that they are just trying to gain your trust by stealing photos as a representative of their team. Which you will notice by looking on this website, wearefft. It is a different project; however, it seems that the people behind Rapid Protocol are also the people behind that website.

Be careful about who you give your trust, you can’t be sure it is a real account unless you have conducted your own research. As there are few instances where a project takes advantage of one’s identity. In addition, it seems that it is a new exchange, as you can’t find any information except on their own website and channels on various platforms. I will suggest carry out the research before choosing where to invest or trade your funds.
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fast food restaurants accepting crypto as payment method? on: November 03, 2020, 11:44:38 AM
Some users already suggested where you can find restaurants that offer Bitcoin payment methods. Personally, I have not really tried using bitcoin in restaurants because it's rare to find one in my country, so you will probably see one depending on how popular bitcoin is in your country. Before I have already heard several small restaurants offering bitcoin however since there's no much demand using it, they just stop accepting it.

It would be nice to see a growing number of restaurants accepting bitcoin payment because it just means that the adoption is growing but I still think that it's more convenient to use cash when buying foods in restaurants.
328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know what bankroll management is in sports betting? on: November 03, 2020, 10:48:43 AM
Some gamblers often forget about bankroll management, especially when they become so greedy over something that's why instead of winning, they end up losing. But sometimes, I'm guilty that I also forgot to keep these tips when I'm already on the game. Sometimes I get more greedy and keep wanting to get back what I lost and of course, it's not a good habit. The more you keep chasing your losses, the more you won't be able to control your emotions. And it's good to see this kind of topic to remind us of how to properly manage our bankroll.
329  Economy / Economics / Re: Second lockdown in Europe can their economy survive this?. on: November 02, 2020, 02:28:37 PM
It is said in the article that schools are open, does it mean they are open for a physical class or just online classes? Is not risky for the students to go outside? Correct me if I'm wrong.

It's indeed hard to cope up with this since it's almost a year since this virus started to spread and they are still implementing another round of lockdown. I think most countries are now starting to recover even with the pandemic because they are now reopening businesses but with France and Germany's case, it' might be hard for them to recover. But I hope that during this another lockdown, they can stabilize the cases so there won't be another lockdown.
330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Death during illegal cockfighting raid on: November 02, 2020, 12:31:55 PM
I first heard about this news because it's becoming a meme on social media. But I never expect that this kind of situation will happen that police will die in a raid because of the rooster. But the real issue is that people will still illegally gamble and organize cockfighting even if they know that it's illegal due to the protocols implemented. Also, it's sad that someone who's just doing his job died in this event when he could have lived if they did not disobey the protocol.
If people were obedient, there will be no raid, but that's life, there are violators and police are just trying to do their job.

Maybe they expect it would happen, the roster killed the police, this time the roster got their revenge on a human as they usually are the toys for the humans just to fulfill their gambling entertainment. Honestly, this is the first time I heard a police got killed by a roster during the raid, rare but it happened.
I guess we can say that's how life works? But it was very unexpected to hear this kind of event where the rooster is the cause of his death. Probably no one also expected that this could happen that's why even the police were not able to protect themselves to prevent such situations when they were planning to raid the place.

I hope with this issue, the authorities can be more strict to prevent illegal cockfighting because it's putting risk to everyone there, they might get infected by the virus, and worst-case like what happened to the police.

333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we stop bitcoin scammers? on: November 02, 2020, 07:40:59 AM
Scammers are always there so it's almost inevitable to stop them from scamming people because they will always find various ways to scam others. No matter how much we try improving the system, scammers will still be there, so instead of looking for a free-from-scammer system, why not educate people to avoid getting scammed, I think this is the best way to do. We know that there's a lot of scammers here, and it's already on those greedy people that's why we need to be cautious and knowledgeable to protect ourselves from them.
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How cryptocurrencies could allow financial inclusion ? on: November 01, 2020, 03:38:11 PM
As mentioned by @bitbollo, not everyone has an access to banks and this is where the decentralized system can provide opportunities for those people who are having a hard time getting access to the banking system. You will see this kind of claim mostly in Defi projects that it will help to give financial inclusion to those who are unbanked. But for now, I don't think we can already see significant changes in giving them financial inclusion since the adoption of cryptocurrency especially for those in the developing countries are still not enough.
335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can bitcoin be made easy? on: November 01, 2020, 12:09:55 PM
It's undeniable that some people really find it difficult to learn and understand bitcoin because its nature is different from what they are used to, especially for older people. But things can be learned by educating them, as well as gaining experiences. However, the best way to understand bitcoin depends on our capacity, others can easily learn through reading and watching informative videos, while for others, maybe they can easily learn if someone is guiding them. For now, people may find it difficult, but if they will see more people adopting it, they will also try to adopt it.
336  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Dalawang pekeng MEW sa Google Store on: November 01, 2020, 09:24:48 AM
Sana wala itong nabiktima kahit may iilang nag download nito.
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why New Crypto Projects are Dump ? on: October 31, 2020, 03:50:06 PM
Not all projects become successful especially that there is already a lot of projects in the market that make it a bigger competition. And that's the reason why these new emerging projects should strengthen their plan and objective so they won't fail unless they are just scamming people and will eventually dump. Investors are also cautious especially if it's a new project that's why they also need to gain their trust, and they also fail because they lack several criteria that people are looking for in a project.
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymous teams on: October 31, 2020, 01:47:28 PM
I never really liked projects with the anonymous team, to begin with, because it's riskier. I always mention it not to trust projects that don't disclose any members of the team. It's simply because when there's a problem that occurs in the project, you don't know who you will run to and look for. Knowing who is the team behind a certain project is essential that's why when I look for projects, I always look for the team when researching.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't get scammed with shitcoin investing _ step guide! on: October 30, 2020, 03:45:44 PM
The guide given was really made sense but in reality avoiding of getting fooled by a scammed projects is really hard and avoidable, because the people behind this projects are really knowledgeble for tricking people so that theres a lot of getting victimized. So for us to avoid this shitcoin, we really need to be careful and wise.
Since we ae already aware that some scammers nowadays can be smart to fool others, and as an investor, we need to become smarter than them to avoid falling for scammers and shitcoins. These scammers and shitcoins are continuously growing, and we need to teach ourselves how to avoid them. And this is indeed a nice guide or a reminder for us to always be careful when choosing a project to invest in. Always do enough prior research before trusting any project and investing funds.
340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin price rise affect your gameplay? on: October 30, 2020, 02:53:03 PM
People should just save their cryptocurrencies.

But the problem is that people don't care about that, as long as they can gamble they are fine. The price increasing would be good for investors but for the gamblers, I don't think so. I did see some changes to the fees in some online casinos in the past when the price increased but I don't know if that also happens these days.

Gamblers can also still gamble even when the price rises especially if they are willing to spend that specific amount and willing to risk that amount. Although, it's better and a smarter choice to save and hold your bitcoin when the bitcoin price is increasing, others still prefer to gamble regardless of it. And sometimes I am guilty of that, but I always try to limit the amount I use in gambling because I don't want to overspend since my priority is to hold bitcoin than to gamble it.
