621  Economy / Economics / Re: The number of jobless people has crossed one million in US - worrying sign? on: August 23, 2020, 10:13:34 AM
The increase in the unemployment rate is not only visible in the US but also in other countries who are still struggling with the rapid increase in COVID cases. It might worsen if the situation remains until the last quarter and I think it will be hard for the economy to recover while there's still a lot of new cases. But for sure, once the vaccine is already available, the US can recover from the decline they are facing right now.

As for political views, there will always be two sides, the one who's not satisfied with the performance and the once who still believe with the administration's capability in handling the pandemic. Now it's up for the people who will vote in the next election, and I think this crisis is a big lesson for everyone.
622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting: how much knowledge is too much on: August 22, 2020, 03:53:48 PM
Having knowledge about a certain game or team is useful when betting but it does not necessarily mean that every information will be useful for the future game. For me, it's already enough to have at least background knowledge, and you don't have to drown yourself with too much information and rely on that when betting.

It's okay to have a lot of information but only take what you can and what you think is useful for you when making a decision on sports betting.
623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mind Blown Gambling Facts on: August 22, 2020, 12:34:46 PM
I find some facts really interesting and fun as well because of the story behind it. While some are already familiar to me, but most of it was new and it's nice to read random facts about gambling. Thanks for sharing this list of information OP. But what's really interesting is how some of these people are really lucky to win a huge amount of money
  • President of Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe won 100,000 Zimbabwean dollars (that is US$2,600 at the time) in a lottery in 2000. He is the only modern Head of State who won the lottery. Source

  • The largest slot jackpot win was in Vegas in 2003. A 25-year-old engineer hit a $39,710,826.36 jackpot on the Megabucks machine, beating odds of about 17 million to one. Source
  • A wife bought a scratch-off lottery ticket to prove a point to her husband that it was a waste of money, but it ended up winning her $1 million. Source
  • A British gambler sold all of his possessions, including all of his clothes, and bet $135,300 on red for a single spin of a roulette wheel in Las Vegas and won. Source
I still really get amused every time I hear or read stories about some lucky gamblers who won huge money because that's like a once in a lifetime experience.

625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Need suggestion for making a video on bitcoin on: August 21, 2020, 02:57:55 PM
For me, you can do separate videos tackling different topics so it won't be too much information in one video. It's better to focus on a single topic per video than discussing everything because bitcoin can be a wide topic. It might become boring watching a single video with tons of information.

Also, I'm wondering if how will you create a video? Will you use animation or not? But I think your list is already enough if you are planning to combine together in a single video. Then ask your viewers the questions they have or something that they don't understand so you can elaborate it to them.
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where Are You Next 5 Years? on: August 21, 2020, 02:03:17 PM
How Many Money You Earned That Time?
Speaking of how much money I could earn, I guess it's quite unpredictable and I don't know how much I can earn that time. But, I'm hoping to earn a good amount of money so I can able to assure I have a good and secure future. Then, I also don't know if that time I will not lose too much money because we all know that cryptocurrency is very unpredictable.

And What Do You Want To Do With Your Earning? Cool
Probably, I'm gonna use it in every good investment like in cryptocurrency, stock market and even establishing good businesses. Plus, I will buy all things that we need and want, I will also give a beautiful future for my family. But I know before I can achieve that, I need to work hard and do more good investment and trading.
627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For the kind attention of the Gambling sites , a small suggestion on: August 21, 2020, 10:55:44 AM
Thart's pretty hard, and also impossible. Even with the implementation of KYC to major online gambling sites in the world, there's still many casino's and sports bookie's out there that doesn't require it. In fact they promote; anonymity due to some people unable to play online gambling because of the government laws in their country. That's why, i think it's impossible to prevent children from visiting these kind of sites.
there are many place to make bets and Kids nowadays knows about that specially that almost all of them has their own gadgets and direct access to Internet?
they can sur whatever they want inside their rooms.
This same reason why my family make sure that we are talking everyday about what the kids are doing and they must be truthful in telling which sites they are entering, because if i found ou that they are lying?they will be grounded in gadget for months and in internet.
This could also be a factor why a lot of young ages or minors are prone to get involved in online gambling. It's because they are exposed too much on gadgets that they can discover different things and access them because of curiosity without their parents knowing.

Kids nowadays are so smart with gadgets that they even know a lot of things compared to their parents. Parents really are an important role in preventing their kids to get involved in this kind of activity at a young age.

628  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Is this the RIGHT TIME on: August 21, 2020, 10:21:42 AM
629  Economy / Economics / Re: Our country was called Province of China. on: August 21, 2020, 09:03:30 AM
It's really a big insult in the Philippines to be called a province of China. Good thing for the mayor of Manila that he immediately took an action and closed all establishments who put that kind of address in their products.
here's a link:
Code:
https://twitter.com/ABSCBNNews/status/1296346133556391936?s=19

Although the country is depending on products made in China because it's cheaper and the amount of debt we have, they don't have the right to lowkey own our country. I wonder what's the reaction of the president about this because he always thinks that we are "friends" and is dependent on China.

It could be just one small mistake on factory, i dont think that this really means something important

Who would make a mistake like that?  The Philippines is obviously far from Province P.R. China, so how come it would be a mistake? They have been manufacturing products and yet no one noticed it? I doubt that

The merit system may seem hard especially for newbies, but if you will really work hard, it won't be a problem, though merit is not the main purpose of joining here in the forum. This forum is like give and take, share what you know and learn from others what you don't know.

Btw I also want to congratulate you in advance because you are close to being a senior member.  Like what I always say, you won't reach that rank or get that merits if you are not deserving of it. Keep inspiring other users with your effort and hope to see more of your contributions in the future.
631  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Bitcoin Revolution Scam on: August 20, 2020, 02:19:17 PM
~snip

632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 10 DeFi projects on: August 20, 2020, 01:39:04 PM
I also see some tweets on Twitter that they lose a ton of money because of YAM and I also don't think it's a good Defi project. Based on the list of Defi projects, I saw the Curve that has been listed in Binance a few days ago and I already tried using the Uniswap and the only problem that I encountered here is the high fee when I'm buying coins. Most of the new Defi project that I have seen are always listed in Uniswap but I don't know if they are legit or good Defi projects. All Defi projects in the list seem good except on the YAM which is a kind of scam.
633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For the kind attention of the Gambling sites , a small suggestion on: August 20, 2020, 06:59:01 AM
I have also seen this news recently, and for me, even if gambling sites will require KYC, I think minors would still find ways to gamble if they want. Just like what happened in the article you give, the security is tighter because it's a physical casino where they can personally check their IDs, but they still manage to get in and gamble before being caught.

And not everyone will prefer KYC that's why for me, it's not just the casino operator's (whether it's physical or online) responsibility to stop minors from gambling. Minors should be guided by their guardians about this kind of interest, but look at the news, it's her mother who sneaked her inside the casino.
634  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Give away again. on: August 19, 2020, 04:58:57 PM
I tried opening the link but I think the account is already gone. At least YouTube is now making actions towards this kind of scam giveaways.

YouTube has millions of users that are why scammers are taking advantage of it. And even if it's an obvious scam, there are still who will fall for it that's why it's just better to report it whenever we see this kind of tricks.
635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Upcoming Defi projects on: August 19, 2020, 02:07:09 PM
I have seen a lot of Defi projects but I never put an eye to them. And, I recently tried to check the Defi project that I have found here which is the Mantra Dao, and it took my attention to invest. But what happened is I forgot to invest and now I just realized I wasted a good profit and I should put time into a good project. This project is already listed in Bithumb and now has a good price. Right now, I'm focusing on finding more Defi project that has great potential and will also bring a good profit to me. And, be good at investing and choosing Defi projects.
636  Economy / Economics / Re: Second COVID-19 wave is coming...Infinite loop? on: August 19, 2020, 12:27:45 PM
I have not heard much news about other countries but in my country, we're still far from ending the first wave. I believe that the virus will continue spreading while there's still no vaccine available. Even some countries that were able to flatten the curve, they still have new cases which are kinda inevitable since countries have already lifted the travel ban.

I'm not sure if you heard about it but a pool party was held in Wuhan where the virus started. I just find it risky even if they were able to do a good job handling the virus since there is still a possibility that it might spread. And while a lot of countries are still struggling with the pandemic, they are having a party with no mask and social distancing.
637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin casinos to surge in German market? on: August 18, 2020, 03:55:23 PM
If most gamblers would move to bitcoin, it will only take time for the government to also implement new laws on bitcoin in Germany. I think the regulation is to prevent gamblers from gambling in illegal sites. Instead of avoiding the government's intervention, they should also stop gambling in illegal gambling sites
Regulating anything about the rule is the duty of the government and I believe the German government will soon issue new rule regarding crypto gambling site if the interest in crypto gambling grow.
That's why if the German government is showing a strict regulation with gambling as a whole, gamblers can't escape it for too long even if they will use crypto to avoid regulations.

Gamblers may experience new things with crypto gambling sites that can be good for crypto adoption, but if illegal gambling sites would also switch to crypto, then the government will also come after them. But if the government is positive with crypto adoption, then they can promote it as an alternative for online transactions.
638  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Filipino scammers on: August 18, 2020, 03:09:55 PM

Basta madali go.

639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea and Australia, they are bitcoin pro on: August 18, 2020, 01:55:13 PM
There are really countries that are leading when it comes to crypto adoption and I think if it shows a good response to the people in these countries, others will follow. And we have already heard various news for crypto in South Korea and it's really great.  One of their advantages is the country is already technologically advanced that's why we can see more adoption.

It's really nice to see other countries being positive towards crypto because it's a step to achieve mass adoption. I just hope that after some years, more countries will also follow Korea and Australia.
640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Chainlink is a shitcoin and will dump to zero on: August 18, 2020, 01:06:27 PM
I don't think that chainlink is a shitcoin and as far as I know it is one of the solid Defi projects out there. Have you ever seen the great growth in the price of the LINK? and a few days ago the price of it is around 19$ and now it's around 16$. And, I'm also hoping that OP will provide more proof about his accusation about this project. Then, I guess right now it's hard to believe that LINK will dump to zero .
