581  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest Bitcoin giveaway scams and how can you avoid them on: September 02, 2020, 12:36:49 PM
Just a simple step don't send out money or Bitcoin if it is a giveaway then why would you need to send first before receiving it?
That is the only thing that you should never forget on crypto or in every currency.
Just ask yourself why would you even need to pay in order to receive a free giveaways?
That idea itself is already suspicious because giveaways are meant to be given for free without you having to give money first before receiving one. And also, when it's too good to be true, we should really be careful and not to easily believe that kind of giveaways. It's very rampant now that we keep seeing fake and scam giveaways in poplar social media platforms just like mentioned above yet, people still fall for it repeatedly. Even in our local board, there's always an issue of using popular and influential people to deceive others
582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not so far from getting BTC globally accepted! Pornhub now accepts BTC & LTC. ;) on: September 02, 2020, 09:57:45 AM
So crypto is more and wider adopted by different services and sites)))) for people who likes to watch sites of such kind it is a big bonus - you do not have to use your credit or debit card, and it is easier and faster to pay for it. But it seems to me that not so many people pay for this. I think that there are lots of videos for free))) so what is the purpose to pay for it?
Not really a fan of that site as well but I do think that a lot of people would really pay for those videos. I mean yeah, you can watch videos for free there but there are people who are really willing to spend on those videos, especially when they have enough money to pay for it. Pornhub is earning millions of revenues so it just means that they have a lot of users paying them.

That's still great that they finally added more options and accepted bitcoin though it took them some time before realizing it.
583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Slow adoption and decentralized nature of bitcoin on: September 01, 2020, 04:50:58 PM
That makes sense but I think it's not always knowing everything about bitcoin. As long as you know the basic and essential information or knowledge about it that can be used by most people when they adopted it is already enough, they don't need to know the difficult parts when they won't be using it. The basic information in bitcoin might still be too complex for other people but I think that's already part of innovation. As we keep on adopting technologies, it really becomes more complex that we also need to adopt.

584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are you going to buy into these high rising defi coins now? on: September 01, 2020, 01:38:12 PM
I would probably not buy those Defi coins that you have mentioned OP because it's too risky and I don't even know them and I don't have any idea if those coins will go higher these coming days. Then, I already miss the Defi project that I have been watching which is the Mantra Dao, and right now, I don't have any plan to enter or buy this coin because the price of this is already too high like it's now around .5$ and its presale price is around .0.05$ to 0.07$. There is still great hype on Defi projects that's why we need to be good at choosing the project where you are going to invest and don't forget to do research.
585  Other / Off-topic / Re: It's time to destroy China, don't buy anything from them ,don't deal with them on: September 01, 2020, 12:03:04 PM
I do get that there are reasons to hate China, and I also feel that sometimes especially when I read news about the country or their people doing something inappropriate related to my country. I have always heard a lot of things that sometimes pissed me off because there's a lot of Chinese here in my country but we can't just generalize all of them.

Spit in their food ,piss in their food ,water make them not welcomed in your countries.
Doing this won't make us any better. I don't know why you think that doing such things will make things better cause obviously it's not. Some countries are kinda dependent on products in China and they can't just abandon that.
586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Miami Dade to open Casinos and Restaurants for the third time. on: September 01, 2020, 09:14:09 AM
We'll keep seeing businesses and industries slowly opening again because it's been around 6 months and they also need to generate income. But I think they'll be more strict in implementing protocols because it's their third time, and if they want to continuously operate, they need to ensure safety.

Some people are slowly getting used to this COVID thing and they're becoming less afraid to go outside so for sure, we'll see gamblers still rushing in even if there's still a pandemic. They will gamble when they want especially now that they have the opportunity after months of lockdown, they just need to be careful.
587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COCK FIGHTING: COVID-19 health protocols violators, caught on: August 31, 2020, 03:01:18 PM
~snip.
Others may find it as an abuse to animals but cockfighting is legal in the Philippines and it's popular in the country since it's also a part of the tradition. What makes it illegal is because gambling is temporary not allowed due to pandemic, and it's part of the protocols here.

And since it's common in our country, organizing cockfighting events doesn't always need to be that big. You can gamble and bet by just gathering with other gamblers in any place available and make a bet. So they probably didn't do any safety measures like monitoring temperature or social distancing.
588  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Warning: Another ETH Based Investment Scheme on: August 31, 2020, 01:43:14 PM
Parang Sumisikat na talaga si Ethereum ah,dahil aside from bitcoin in which lage ginagamit ng mga scheme and scammers ngayons a ETH na sila naka focus in which bagong currency na sisirain nila.
589  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to be useful to the forum ? on: August 31, 2020, 12:06:28 PM
• Even though I read a lot of topics, I am unable to answer to them, since either they have already been answered or that I don't have enough knowledge about the subject being discussed.

• I don't have a special skill set to offer some services in the services board nor am I able to make enough time to manage something like that, but I am looking into myself what I can offer so that people can benifit.

• I felt like I am being left out, it's been a few months since I am on the forum and my progress has slowed down drastically, I feel like I lack a little bit of something.
I feel the exact same way, it is difficult to analyze if I am improving or not. But despite that, I continue to trust myself and keep on moving forward because I know that there's a good outcome waiting for me. Personally, it is much better to move slowly than rush things without understanding anything. You can share your gained knowledge and impressions to our fellow members, you may think that it's a small act but it can sort out different views. It won't be easy to figure out that lack of something, so go ahead and dig into the information on the forum.
590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any VR crypto casinos? on: August 30, 2020, 03:30:00 PM
I first encountered this idea of VR casino on a thread posted here before but I personally haven't seen nor heard any casinos that are also supporting VR. This is really a great idea because it's something new and innovative for gamblers though one thing is that it could cost a lot in order to experience this VR gambling.

Also, it might be a risk for crypto or any online casinos to adopt this since there's no assurance that it'll catch the attention of gamblers. But it would be a nice opportunity to see it in the casino space and to experience it as well.
591  Economy / Economics / Re: Famine is coming next ... on: August 30, 2020, 01:28:36 PM
It's really a challenge for us when it's about the environment and this also happens because of humans so probably in the coming years, we'll get to see more crisis. And the population is continuously growing which results in more damages to the environment. Science and technology can also help in giving a solution to this, just like GMOs though this doesn't really guarantee a complete solution to hunger, it's still helpful.

Just wanna share this article:

592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COCK FIGHTING: COVID-19 health protocols violators, caught on: August 30, 2020, 11:16:03 AM
Even before, I keep seeing news about some people violating and getting caught going outside for cockfighting and it's not something new, I guess? People will keep violating the rules again and again and won't stop unless they get caught. Some are even backed by government officials because they're also betting on it.

I don't really like it when I see news like that because most of those who are involved in cockfighting are the ones who are asking for money and help of the government, then they'll just use it in gambling instead of using it wisely. And aside from that, they're also risking their health (they might get infected by the virus) and security (might gets caught by officials).
593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful with scam copycats of YFI on: August 30, 2020, 08:27:53 AM
I have seen a lot of YFI in the market and there's a lot of them in the Uniswap. I don't even know this coin but what really shocked me is the price of this token is higher than bitcoin and as of now the price of YFI is around 32,000$. I've also read several comments in the crypto signal and they said be careful in investing in YFI because the price is being manipulated (I'm not sure if this thing is really true or not but it seems like that). Always do research whenever we buy a coin in the market and by just doing simple research we can distinguish which are the legit one and not. I also suggest don't invest in this kind of coin even they have good growth in the market and it's better to stay away from this.
594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Altcoin to Invest on: August 30, 2020, 06:33:35 AM
If you want to invest maybe you can invest in the DeFi Project and I have some lists that look good but do some research if you have any doubts: Oin Finance, Hedget, Ramp Defi, Rio Defi, DeFiner, DFinance, If you want to buy those that have been listed, maybe you can check out Bluezelle project because they have an interesting update
So far, the Defi project still has good hype in the market and I also saw the Oin Finance but as far as I know, there are some problems in their public sale that's why it was moved on another day and now they will start the public sale again on August 31. That's true, always do research whenever you have doubts in the project so you can't blame others and it's our responsibility to do it. OP with regards to the best exchange, I would suggest using Binance or Kucoin. Then, to the best altcoin always focus on the one with potential and great development because this thing can cause a huge impact on the price.

596  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anyone else having trouble earning Merit? on: August 28, 2020, 03:11:54 PM
I checked first two pages of your post history and it's clear that you mainly posts on altcoin related boards.

Yeah, it looks like op is just focusing on altcoin boards, and I agree with @Bttzed03 that, why not try exploring more section here in the forum op? Also, op already said that he's a member here since 2017 (though he registered in 2018) and I doubt that he has not realized why he doesn't have merits. Op, might as well want to try observing why others get merits and what's with their posts that you don't have.

Try giving more quality posts and for sure there's someone who might appreciate and find your post useful and give you the merit you are looking for.
597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UK hospital launches rehab programme for bitcoin addiction on: August 28, 2020, 12:23:33 PM
I get that addiction can be caused by doing excessive different activities or something but I don't think it should be called bitcoin addiction since I just don't find it as something to be addicting, personally. It's more proper to call it trading addiction than "bitcoin" itself since if you are going to search, there's really trading addiction and it comes in any form, not just bitcoin.

It's good that they are opening such a program for others who suffer from this kind of problem but calling it bitcoin addiction is not really the right term for me.
598  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: CHRISTIAN ALBERT GAZA a.k.a "Xian Gaza" Introduce his own coin on: August 28, 2020, 09:42:47 AM
599  Economy / Economics / Re: The pros and cons of going cashless on: August 28, 2020, 08:24:22 AM
That's why I hope the government doesn't have plans to eliminate cash entirely.  It's fine if people choose to not use it, but I think it should remain available as an option.

As far as our government or my country as a whole is concerned, I truly believed cash won't be eliminated here.

Remote and isolated areas won't be able to ride the wave of this cashless transactions due to lots of factors and considerations. The same goes for other countries, especially in the so-called third world countries.

The cashless transaction will be heavily used while the world progress, no doubt about that. But I'm thinking even for a considered rich country, there is no way they can achieve a fully 100% cashless payment for at least within 10-20 years from now. The use of physical cash is hard to eliminate and not that simple to implement.

We have been using cash for so long that's why it will be hard to adopt a completely cashless economy. Just like what you have said, there are places that cannot adopt it since there's still a lack of technological advancement in certain places.

Even if cashless brings convenience, in some cases, it's more convenient to use cash that's why both can be useful for us depending on how we will going to use it. I don't think they will be eliminating cash even if the cashless method of payments becomes more rampant.

600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Legal Matter on: August 28, 2020, 06:45:49 AM
I am one of those who support online gambling, it should be legal, because there are many positive things that can be obtained.
At least it can reduce the number scammers who are increasingly right now, and most importantly the government must get
a large tax. But there are still many countries who consider it online gambling is an illegal activity, and it's very sad for me. But
fortunately there is a bitcointalk forum that can provide good reviews regarding online gambling.
Of course, we also support online gambling since we are also gambling online. Making online gambling legal will really bring taxes to the government and will make it easier for gamblers to play but it also has its cons that's probably stopping some governments in legalizing it.

Though my country also has restrictions with online gambling, good thing that I can still gamble even with crypto which still gives me enough freedom when gambling online.
