341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If btc > $150k, will you still gamble it? on: October 30, 2020, 02:07:56 PM
If this is the case, I will probably just hold my bitcoin than using it for gambling since I'm not really a big gambler. Gambling is not really my priority so my first choice would be not to gamble, not because of higher fees or something. But if I would really like to gamble while the price of Bitcoin is that high, then I would gamble but with a limited capital only. Or I can also transfer my BTC to altcoin then that's what I will use to gamble.
342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Death during illegal cockfighting raid on: October 30, 2020, 01:16:36 PM
I first heard about this news because it's becoming a meme on social media. But I never expect that this kind of situation will happen that police will die in a raid because of the rooster. But the real issue is that people will still illegally gamble and organize cockfighting even if they know that it's illegal due to the protocols implemented. Also, it's sad that someone who's just doing his job died in this event when he could have lived if they did not disobey the protocol.
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BTC stay above $13,000 line from now on? on: October 30, 2020, 12:05:55 PM
Will BTC stay around $13,000 line or will BTC reach another new high price before the end of the year?
Actually no one knows since bitcoin's movement is unpredicted.

This scenario already happened before, the price consistently increase and many investors thought that we might be in another bullrun again but it didnt happen.

Its been almost 3 years since the last ath but we're not certain when will the price can reach or surpass that value again. All we can do is to wait and be ready to take advantage the price of bitcoin.
That's true, no one can really tell if bitcoin will stay above 13,000$ because we all know that the price of it is too volatile but it's a good sign for us to see bitcoin touch 13,000$. Based on what I see there's are some news that brought bitcoin to increase like the news in Paypal which totally affects the price. I agree that we just need to wait and hold our bitcoin until it reached again it's all-time high.

346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Emirex delist their token after unlocking it what a joke on: October 29, 2020, 03:02:55 PM
I briefly visited the exchange site, it looks like they are based in the UAE and I think they are just losers in that rich country.
In order to pressure emirex team to immediately settle their debt to the bounty hunters, wouldn't this thread be better off being on the scam board?

I really like to do that but maybe we will have one in the scam board I like to point out to the developmen team that what they have done is not right and they can still rectify or correct it, did they really hate bounty hunters that they do not want to trade or dump their token when it really deserves to be dump, I hope they let bounty hunters to trade in their platform, this is one project that should go the drain.
If that's the case, then it contradicts their statement of having a professional team. It is their responsibility to escalate the concerns of bounty hunters, as they have benefited from them in any aspect. They have used them for their own benefit, without thinking about how it helped their development. It is unlikely people will lose their trust in this exchange, as they can't fulfill their promises and do their job properly. It is unright for them to take away the opportunity to sell the tokens that they have earned because of their hard work.

349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin price rise affect your gameplay? on: October 28, 2020, 05:01:41 PM
There's no much of a significant change for me regardless of the price of bitcoin as I always limit the amount I will spend on gambling. Also, I think for most gamblers here, the price of bitcoin is not the basis of their gameplay, probably, they will continue to play until they are already satisfied and entertained.

If some gamblers think that the rise of bitcoin will make it hard for them to earn a profit, their main purpose for gambling is for income. But since I gamble to have fun, it's not really my concern, and I just gamble until I want.
350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Terror Attack Related With Bitcoin - INDIA on: October 28, 2020, 04:08:12 PM
It would be stupid on the Indian government's part if they did an action against Bitcoin and not the criminals themselves, if they made this the reason of their plans to ban cryptocurrency they would look like a dumb government. If you ask anyone if Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies will disappear will this make all the crimes that is happening now will also disappear? Of course not crimes existed before and will still exist now with or without cryptocurrencies, banning the mode of payment won't mean a thing to them as they will have other ways of getting the money.
I have to agree with this, to see this as a reason against Bitcoin is not an accurate justification because bitcoin is not the one who makes illegal activities by itself, it's just being used by the criminals and it's the same with fiat. I know this kind of news is not new at all, and we will probably see more but for me, it's still not enough reason to ban bitcoin (if they are thinking about it).

Also, I just want to mention, every time there's this kind of news related to crypto, they always include bitcoin or crypto besides the illegal activities that tarnish the name of bitcoin.
351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports icons and Covid19 complications on: October 28, 2020, 03:23:38 PM
Even if they will implement a strict health protocol, it does not give an assurance to everyone, even the players, couches, and staff that they are safe from getting infected. As long as there's a virus, there is a chance that they will get infected. So even if how strict they are with the protocol during practice or matches, it won't be enough as long as there's no vaccine yet.

The same with football, several sports are already trying to slowly go back to normal while applying the protocols. However, scenarios like this can happen where someone from the team gets infected, so I think they should also be ready for this kind of situation now while we are still adjusting to the new set up.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you think you are smart just know that some are smarter on: October 28, 2020, 01:31:38 PM
Scammers are getting smarter indeed.

This can really convince greedy people to follow what should be done to get the anticipated money not knowing its a trap.

Well be aware to this to not end up as a victim.
Needless to say, they can’t remain to use a similar approach, as people began to recognize the style of their deception. They think of alternative approaches where people won’t suspect anything. As for the victims, they probably did not anticipate the idea of losing their assets in such a way. We should be aware a scam exists in various forms and that scammers are not only smart but also resourceful. Hence, instead of being greedy, why not work in your own ways to earn?
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Game lover ? Have you invested for a gaming project ?? on: October 28, 2020, 11:58:29 AM
People may enjoy playing games, as it is a good way of coping with stress. However, investment in the gaming industry represents a different circumstance. It involves strategies, risk, and knowledge to understand if an investment will be profitable. As a gamer and an investor, I find it difficult to entrust my funds, especially into a new project. I don’t doubt its authenticity, as you said yourself, they have a real team member, but does it guarantee anything? In addition, I consider the risk and the possible returns of my investment. As you mentioned, you have conducted your research regarding this project. Can you present your personal insights about it?
354  Economy / Economics / Re: The pandemic did push the world towards a more digital age. on: October 28, 2020, 11:05:05 AM
That's why more small-time businesses are moving online or offering products/services using the digital platform because customers are shifting online. Even though buying online or digital transactions was already a thing before the pandemic, we can say that the pandemic helped because as I saw, people become more afraid and cautious going outside because of the virus threat that's why they are looking for alternatives where it'll be safer for them. And this will last in the future even after this pandemic, so we'll probably see more businesses going digital, as well as the adoption of digital currency.
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: should i invest to this project ? on: October 28, 2020, 07:28:36 AM
~snip
No don't, I believe this project is another DeFi crap project, since you've invested in some projects before means that you know your way around new projects, how come you can't find good answers on this one ? And by the way the website isn't available anymore, here is what I'm getting now.

I just checked the website and the image that you have provided also shows up so, it means this project already turns out to be a sh*t. And even their Twitter account now does not exist anymore. And OP, always do your research about certain projects and don't always rely on what your friend suggested especially this project that he sent to you. Plus, it's better to avoid some projects that look like this because it has a huge possibility that it will turn to be a scam project. I'm hoping that OP, did not put any amount of money into this project.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be a wise investor on: October 27, 2020, 02:11:29 PM
It is a good wealth-building strategy, as you can encounter a greater chance of yielding a profit. However, it can’t be enforced in any project because some projects are not even worth looking at. It is those who are trying to fool investors into gaining without any hassle and low risk. Investment is connected with the risk of losing, so learn to accept an opportunity, but don’t forget to implement analysis to ensure you are not depleting your funds into scam investment.
357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery is a poor man's tax on: October 27, 2020, 01:36:36 PM
The lottery gives us small chance or to no chance of winning at all, yet these people still want to try their luck by betting. Living in a developing country, I can see how the lottery is popular in middle to lower class. I don't know why but people who are struggling financially are the ones who have high hopes of winning the lottery although they know that there's a low probability. Maybe because they think that winning from the lottery can help them to become rich. But for me, there's nothing wrong as long as it's fine for them to risk a small amount of money with small hope of winning. As for the government, since they usually own the lottery, of course, they will tax people.
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: which ia the best coin for holding 2021? on: October 27, 2020, 09:51:02 AM
I will go with Bitcoin and most of us here recommended it to hold for the year 2021. By the way, I have noticed today that bitcoin already touched the 13,000$ price in the market. Aside from bitcoin, I guess I will go with Ethereum and Binance. We have different preferences when it comes to holding but even with our different choices, we should always consider bitcoin as our priority when holding. Make sure OP, you will do good research before you buy coins for your holdings.
The bitcoin , ethereum and Binance that you recomnended is good and I believe also to this coin and I have these coins and I'm planning to hold it for more years not only in 2021. Holding coins now is the best you gonna do because the movement of the market is good and it's time also for us to do a shorterm and the next year will be the longterm investment to coins.
That was also my plan, I will continue to hold most of the coins for more years especially Bitcoin. When it comes to long-term investment, Bitcoin is very suitable for that and I guess most of us here will suggest it for the long term to see how valuable it is. Probably, I will only do short-term investment for some altcoins that I already have and right now, I'm still thinking about what Defi projects are good for long-term investment.
359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulation possible? Regulation Inevitable? on: October 26, 2020, 05:01:43 PM
It's kinda hard to tell what will happen in 10 years and if by that time, bitcoin already achieved mainstream. But for sure, during those years, there will be big progress to mass adoption, and as also mentioned by others, regulation is indeed inevitable especially when bitcoin gets more recognition in the future. But regulations will depend on how a certain country view bitcoin so it does not necessarily mean that when countries regulated bitcoin, it's something bad that we have to defend it or something.
360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thinking Bitcoin is Scam on: October 26, 2020, 03:48:17 PM
I don't think those who say that bitcoin is illegal and a scam will care at all even if PayPal will allow buying/selling bitcoin. If ever they will hear or see about this news, they will probably just ignore it since, in the first place, they don't like nor care about bitcoin. What is just wrong is thinking that bitcoin is all about illegal or a scam when it's not. Although we know that it's a common misconception people think about bitcoin, it still needs to be corrected.
