601  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid 19 shows how weak People are in the it mind on: August 27, 2020, 04:30:06 PM
Not all people have the same situation or position as yours to only think about positivity in this ongoing crisis. A lot of people are suffering more than what you think that we don't probably know. For me, people who say that people are being too negative and can't see the opportunity in this pandemic are those who are privileged's easy to say that bank are giving money, but not everyone can really get "free money", most are getting more loans just to survive their day to day lives. And lastly, you can't stop people from complaining when you have not experienced what they are going through now.

Pero dito kasi medyo strict pa rin, you still have to present some necessary stuff just to prove na galing ka sa work mo kaya late ka na nakauuwi.

We already surpass 200k mark na pala kahapon, here. At mukhang aabot pa yata tayo sa top 10 most cases worldwide if 'yong increment sa new cases natin still continue for a month.

603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't wait until I can pay using bitcoin at the supermarket on: August 27, 2020, 12:44:36 PM
Before we can reach that phase where we will see more enterprises and shops accepting bitcoin payment, they need to get educated first. I have also heard stories/news before and there are some physical shops in my country that accepted bitcoin, although I'm not sure if they are still accepting it until now because it's really not in demand for customers. But personally, I have not seen any shops that accept bitcoin payment so I'm also curious. If a lot of people in your place are into bitcoin, there's a possibility you will see some shops or even supermarkets accepting it.
604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greatest Gambling Losers on: August 26, 2020, 02:51:59 PM
It's understandable to see huge losses for gamblers who are rich enough to afford those losses, but what I really don't get is why others will still keep gambling even when they can't even afford to pay debts just like in number 9,3,1.

For me, it's okay to have big greed and desire in gambling as long as you can afford it, that it won't harm you in any case. Excessive gambling will result in addiction and can put us in a bad situation.
well the mistake is that some people who cannot control their patience and emotions will be easily affected by such conditions and will certainly make them addicted and want to always do gambling even though they only use a little capital but if it is done every day it can be said like an addiction to gambling.
Yes, one thing that needs to be monitored when gambling is our emotions because we sometimes get swayed by our emotions and greed that's why we end up losing a huge amount of money. But, I just can't get why they still keep pushing all the money they can get even if they can't afford to lose it. They are not just risking their money, they are also risking their lives by putting it in danger.
605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VALORANT Betting on: August 26, 2020, 01:43:41 PM
I have started playing Valorant a month ago and I'm pretty much familiar with the game. Though I don't have enough time to play that much now but based on my experience playing the game, I can say that it's really a nice game. I really liked the skills, the animation, and it's just fun to play as general.

Since I have experienced playing Valorant myself, of course, I will consider betting on it if it becomes more popular. It could also be popular as the other games but since it's still new and not everyone has tried it yet, so it might take time.
606  Economy / Economics / Re: I have discovered Something about covid 19 on: August 26, 2020, 01:04:53 PM
Becouse the strongest covid restrictions are in places where debt is highest.
But the government had to hide this otherwise If they would telling the truth the more panic would occured!!

The covid smoke and mirrors is not bad idea Smiley
The rulers who run world are smart like me Smiley
So, the country with the world's largest external debt, the United States, has the strictest lockdown measures? Keep in mind that US had the least measures and for that reason has the most cases and most deaths also. Which also increased their debt now.
Seems to me like you've got things exactly backwards...
I kinda agree with you because a country tends to have a greater debt when they can't control the virus. Without a strong restriction, more cases will occur and the economy will be affected that's why they will need to borrow money to help them. I'm not sure if I can consider it strong or not when it comes to restrictions since my country still has huge daily cases of COVID and we are all aware that our debt is increasing. The government keeps on borrowing money yet the situation does not seem to improve.

608  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy over health on: August 26, 2020, 07:50:16 AM
AFAIK, other countries are now allowing international flights while implementing restrictions. They can't really close international flights because it's one of the factors that's helping the economy. During the first few weeks/months of COVID, a lot of countries imposed restrictions on flights but they can't really do that for a long time.

It's a risk, but it's still okay as long as they are following protocols like if you travel from another country, you need to self-quarantine for 14 days before going out and that's what other countries are doing.
609  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it possible that the 1% group want to kill us intentionally with covid ? on: August 25, 2020, 04:13:39 PM
The theory that this pandemic is intentional might be true but we can't be sure of the real reason behind it. And I doubt that the reason is to replace human labor. Just like what others said, the virus does not choose people to infect and even rich people get infected by it. If ever this is a planned pandemic, maybe it's for a different reason.

I think we are not ready to use AI to replace humans to work in many business fields. We still need to have employees work, and many people willing to work offline. We may need more years to see the AI because I think the AI needs to develop more before the AI can be used to replace human work. But I don't know if 1% of the group can use their power to do anything they want, but it could be possible because we don't know how strong they are.
I agree with you that most businesses are still relying on human labor. Perhaps they can afford AI because they are rich but they will still need human labor in a lot of cases and that 1% group of people are also benefitting from them.
610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Deepak Chopra (co-author of Super Brain) is now into blockchain! on: August 25, 2020, 02:55:41 PM
I don't know this guy either but the fact that he's trying to use blockchain for a good purpose is actually nice. But after reading the article, I'm not really sure if this will really help and could prevent suicide rates. A lot of people are suffering mental health issues and various groups or organizations are already trying to help people suffering from this problem, but would it really be that helpful or effective to adopt blockchain in these cases?

I see no problem with his intention to help, as well as promoting blockchain but I'm not sure with how it can be related to this issue.
611  Local / Pilipinas / Re: P60 Million Worth of Gift Card Scam - Converted To Bitcoin on: August 25, 2020, 02:05:20 PM

612  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why don't more people invest in btc? on: August 25, 2020, 12:55:43 PM
Not everyone has the same sentiments in bitcoin, and obviously, a lot of people still have not realized the real value and potential of bitcoin. There is good and bad news about bitcoin that still confuses a lot if it's worth it.

Before we really see people investing in bitcoin, they need to be educated first in order to understand it. It's the same with the stock market, it is widely known by a lot of people even if they have no investment. But before they make an investment, they need to study the market first.

614  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What you can learn from this YouTuber mistake - related to crypto scam on: August 24, 2020, 04:04:40 PM
That's why we should always be vigilant because scammers and hackers are rampant in this space. We have already heard a lot of stories like this and it's their fault for being careless but for sure, it will serve as their lesson in the future.

It was not mentioned in the article if there are people or subscribers who fall with the fake giveaways uploaded in the channel but I hope there's none. Also, YouTube should give more attention to this kind of activity because fake giveaways are growing on this platform.
615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scam victims on: August 24, 2020, 11:40:10 AM
I don't know what country you are in, but over $100 k is such huge money I will have second thought investing even $1000 to an exchange that is not even popular in the community, what made you decide to invest here when there are other options and those other options are big exchange with a good reputation, I doubt if you can get your money back the address on their webpage could be wrong better create a scam report, so people will be aware.
In op's case, he did not invest the whole $100k at once, the scammers were able to get that huge amount of money from op by asking him to continuously send money. But the thing is, I don't know why op kept sending them money and just ask for help when it reaches $100k when it's already suspicious if they asked you to send funds to release your fund in the first place.

Op can report it to their government authorities in this field to give warning to other people but it's unlikely to get back the money he lost. It's a pity but that's the consequence of trusting easily on an exchange without properly researching.
616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting: how much knowledge is too much on: August 24, 2020, 09:05:05 AM
Having knowledge about a certain game or team is useful when betting but it does not necessarily mean that every information will be useful for the future game. For me, it's already enough to have at least background knowledge, and you don't have to drown yourself with too much information and rely on that when betting.

It's okay to have a lot of information but only take what you can and what you think is useful for you when making a decision on sports betting.
Of course getting more information about the team we will choose will increase the chances that our choice is correct but I believe it cant increase our odds of winning bet. I dont think we should make it too much of a hassle because this gambling should be meant for fun. If we gamble for winning and money then I think we will get used to looking for the best way to achieve it and quite often this will overwhelm us when choosing which one to choose.

Well yeah, focusing too much on the information can drown you and you won't be able to enjoy gambling that's why I mentioned, only take what you can since the information can also help sports bettor in making a decision. Although it does not give assurance that we can win when we have enough knowledge about the game, it's still good to be familiar with it. We can also gain knowledge with experience, not just by researching so I think it won't be that overwhelming.
617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is FORSAGE a Ponzi scheme? on: August 24, 2020, 07:01:02 AM
Is FORSAGE a Ponzi scheme? Buying ethereum to keep and buying ethereum to invest in forsage, which is better?
I believe that it is a Ponzi scheme and I would recommend to keep away from those type of investment.
It is better to buy and keep ETH than to invest in Forsage also try other alt-coin and hold them for a bit and when the price goes up decide on yourself if you would still hold them or just take the profit.
I agree with you @Gotumoot and I already warned all my friends to avoid this kind of investment if ever someone will invite them to join. Once you search forsage in Facebook, you can see a lot of posts about this scam Ponzi scheme and they will also show the profit that they earned and I don't know if it's really true or not but (I'm sure is not the real profit, they just use it to attract more people to join). Then, one of the posts that I found is they claim the Ethereum was their product and I'm really shocked after reading it. AFAIK, the Forsage is still active and I'm hoping no one here tries to invest in this scam investment. Also, remind all your relatives, friends, and your families so they will not end up on investing money in this Forsage scam.

618  Economy / Economics / Re: Your economic outlook and your life for 2021 poll on: August 23, 2020, 04:43:40 PM
This pandemic is really affecting the majority and if you are going to look at a wider range of perspectives, this pandemic is not helpful in the economy at all. But gladly, I can still manage to generate small income and help with my family and we're still able to survive everyday expenses.

As for the economic outlook, I'm looking forward to the next year that it will start to recover from all the damages this pandemic has brought because I'm hoping by that time, the vaccine is already available.
619  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: UnionBank SMS phishing scam alert! on: August 23, 2020, 03:27:26 PM

620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to call the people into crypto on: August 23, 2020, 02:49:08 PM
There's nothing wrong telling people about crypto and I believe every day is the right time to get into it. The thing is just, a lot of people still don't have enough awareness and knowledge about crypto, and it's not easy to call people to get into crypto because there is a lot of factors that need to be considered like educating them. The hype for DeFi is good, but you can't just tell people "hey try DeFi, it's good" because it does not work that way. Just like what I've said, every day is the right time, they can come anytime without rushing them.
