441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mediocre/People. on: October 06, 2020, 02:10:26 PM
Others really find bitcoin difficult because there are barriers like the lack of awareness, age, or resources, or some are just not interested but with proper education, it will help them to understand and appreciate bitcoin. What makes some people afraid of bitcoin is because of the misconception that they see on news, but it's always the same, they need to be educated to understand. However, we can't force everyone to like and accept bitcoin, for me it's already good enough to see more people adopting bitcoin.

442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blindness in DeFi and sheeple to wealth on: October 06, 2020, 12:17:01 PM
The biggest problem in crypto is that these kind of "accidents" happen pretty often. While some hacks may really be legit, most of them are just owners doing an exit scam and then trying to protect their a$$es. This kind of stuff is what drives "ordinary" people away from crypto because most people don't have time to constantly check the status of their investment so they can save what they can when/if someone makes an exit scam.
I can't help but to agree, seeing that many DeFi projects hide their team and used plagiarized a white paper for in case they have completely carried out their plan to scam, disappearing won't be a problem. By the number of DeFi scams, I don't understand why people even consider it as a profitable investment. Even if we say that such a circumstance is unintentional, you still cannot be sure it's unlikely to happen. You can check this list of DeFi scams, so you will have an idea of what to look out for on investing in DeFi.

443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is possible that bitcoin will use nowadays in cash less transaction? on: October 05, 2020, 03:51:34 PM
Actually, I just recently saw in our local news that the government is suggesting a cashless way of paying private companies employees because they think it will help to lessen the possibility of getting infected by the virus. However, things they mentioned in adapting the cashless method are more on banks, digital transactions, and e-wallets, and they didn't even mention crypto or bitcoin. I think when governments talk about cashless transactions, they focus more on those options which are centralized, unlike bitcoin so I think it doesn't mean that they will be more open to bitcoin since it still depends on how they view crypto.
444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question: Is there any websites where I can gamble crypto under 18? on: October 05, 2020, 01:49:10 PM
Why would you want to know unless you will be doing it yourself? If you insist on gambling, you can still do that since you can just fake your age on some online casinos but you also know that gambling is restricted to minors. I wonder why would you insist on gambling when you know that gambling is not allowed for ages below 18? If we give suggestions on how or where you can gambler, it's like we're tolerating you to do it. But personally, I advise you not to because when you started it, you might have a hard time controlling yourself and your emotions.
445  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Panahon Na Nga Ba Maging "Cashless Society" ang Pilipinas? on: October 05, 2020, 11:35:55 AM

447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a new investment on: October 04, 2020, 05:01:33 PM
The question is subjective and, I agree with @J1mb0 because there are other good investments aside from bitcoin, but it's a good investment for people who can handle the market and knows how it works.

It depends if they have enough knowledge and can handle things, then Bitcoin can be a good investment for them. But I don't think everyone who's looking for income can deal with crypto especially if they don't know anything so they still need to learn first.
448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Elon Musk fake giveaway. on: October 04, 2020, 03:30:15 PM
They have been doing this kind of stuff already on different social media platforms and it's not new so I hope no one is really falling for this kind of scam anymore. Again, why would you join a giveaway where you need to send a certain amount of crypto first? Even rich people don't just give money to random people, it's so obvious that it's a scam.

If we see posts like this, it's better to report it before they can actually deceive people, or warn people on those platforms not to believe and that's the simplest way we can do.
449  Economy / Economics / Re: Not enough Corona Virus Vaccine until 2024, at earliest on: October 04, 2020, 02:07:37 PM
Surely, it will take some time before they can completely distribute vaccines all over the world but some countries are just now depending on the vaccine to stop the pandemic so I don't know if it will really take much time.

For me, people should not panic if this is real because even if it will take until 2024 before they can complete delivering vaccines, as long as they are delivering it between those times, it will already help lessen possible more cases.

You probably heard it already that Bitcointalk is not just about money. If you come here just for that objective, then you are viewing this forum incorrectly.

Why else people come?  For money off course!!

For knowledge as well. Job, money, and skills, if you don't have any of those, then start learning. Not everyone started with a lot of money or skills as well, they just learn and improve so that's basically some newbies need to do. You can use this forum to learn if you want to find a job related to crypto.
451  Economy / Economics / Re: "Humans will not be replaced by robots very soon" --- yeah right !!! on: October 03, 2020, 02:57:50 PM
Replace in what?

The one in the video is definitely awesome and I won't argue with that. If it's about the general aspect, even with the advancement of robots right now, their capabilities are still limited based on how humans program them for a specific activity compared to humans who can do a lot of different activities. But as for jobs, we can't erase that the purpose of this kind of advancement is really to make things easier for humans so we will definitely see in the future more companies will depend on AI for convenience and it may replace some jobs but not too soon.
452  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ask me how , How Scam tatics on: October 03, 2020, 01:01:08 PM
Actually, I have encountered it. I have once received a message from an unknown telegram account that offers a so-called good opportunity to earn during the pandemic. It asks to give a certain amount of money and some personal information for the registration, he even said that the process is easy and surely profitable. But the good thing is I am completely aware that it's a scam, so I just ignored it and report the account. This is the reason why having a piece of knowledge about the common scams is an advantage because it is easy for you to distinguish which offer to avoid and accept. We must be aware scammers won't miss any circumstance to deceive and steal from people.

456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Problem Gambling in the wake of covid-19 on: October 02, 2020, 04:53:50 PM
When we win, we want to play more in order to make our bankroll increase.
When we lose, we still want to play again in order to cover the loss

So in both the scenario, we want to play more gambling  Smiley which later turns into addiction.
That is the problem when you are already engaged into gambling.
There is no way for you to escape on it. You're like in a prison and you are jailed forever (at least).

Getting addicted in gambling is inevitable if you don't know when to stop and when to play. If  you win, learn to stop and if you lose also learn how to stop. Learn to know your limits when it comes to gambling so your chances of getting addicted to it is low or at least you will not get addicted into it.
This kind of situation is always there in gambling, it's just up to us how are we going to handle our greed in a way that we can still play when we want but not to the point that it's becoming excessive and addictive.

Addiction is really like a prison but as a gambler, we should also be responsible enough to prevent ourselves to get locked by it. Self-discipline is really needed in gambling.

458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling License on: October 02, 2020, 02:03:35 PM
I don't really know how casinos differ when they are registered in different countries since I don't really look at that, even the license. To be honest, I look more at the reputation of the casino if it's well established rather than their license since I go by the thinking that if they have a good reputation and a lot of players especially in the same country I'm living, then there would be no problem with license and restriction. As I can see here, I'm not the only one who does not really look after the license.
459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a high roller? on: October 02, 2020, 01:26:32 PM
What would you name yourself, a regular spinner or a high roller?
I don't usually play slot games a lot of times and I'm just a regular one. I don't really spend a huge amount of money on gambling since I can't also afford to lose them. Though I kinda agree that it would really be more thrilling when you invest more money since you can win a huge jackpot prize but it also has a bigger risk so I can't really take that kind of risk.

I also appreciated the article, it's a great one and informative. Thanks for sharing it.

Although the forum permits joining a signature campaign, you have a lot to sort out. Some of it requires a higher rank, but you can only achieve it by gaining merit for your post. As a newbie, should not you just pay attention to exploring the forum and learning the basics? By all means, the forum offers an opportunity to learn, earn, share experiences and knowledge, but if you are thinking this place is only for earning then you are viewing this forum incorrectly. Also, it's not as easy as what some newbies think so I suggest reading this one, here is the list of guidelines for newbies in the forum.
