281  Economy / Economics / Re: Here is a conspiracy theory on: November 13, 2020, 04:46:24 PM
That's an extreme conspiracy of yours, and it seems like it's filled with wild imaginations. I doubt that this will happen in real life, tbh. Well, printing money and a tax increase are possible but not to the extent that a war will arise. We've experienced several epidemics before this, and it didn't result in this kind of theory. Although it might take some time, people in the medical field are now working to find/create a vaccine. As I can see, people are starting to go back to their normal life even with the threat of the virus. It even looks like that they are not that afraid anymore compared to when it started spreading.

This can happen if the creation of the vaccine is taking such a long period, but since we are seeing news where they are already testing vaccines, I don't think such scenarios will happen.
282  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question about crypto profit on: November 13, 2020, 04:08:56 PM
Do you really think that it is that easy? Don’t you realize the higher risk associated with altcoins these days? People choose to invest where they can reduce the risk of losing. They find a coin that has the potential to survive in an unpredictable market. Thus, they choose to invest in bitcoin and they can freely do it, as they are responsible for their own money. Considering the numerous scams and altcoins that lose their value, in-depth research is required to determine which coin is worth it and profitable.
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin needs more women. on: November 13, 2020, 02:58:59 PM
It’s like a normal thing in most sectors, there are always more males than females, especially sectors that has to do with technology, guys are usually the ones who are techy. I think it’s something that will have to start with the society, they need to make the women understand that they can do anything, no matter whatever it is, they should feel free to do it as long as they love it.

It’s just like in my society, people don’t see it as a normal thing for a girl to be working as a mechanical engineer, they believe that such works are meant for men only, and when they see women in those sectors they think it’s strange or something lol. Things will definitely change as time goes on.
It's probably because of the environment and the society, when growing up there's this distinction that men usually like this stuff related to technology while women like other things, and it's being adapted over time. Although we can see that men are more into bitcoin, for sure, more women will also start adopting bitcoin once it gets more recognition to the public. Though I believe, gender is not really an issue here, whether what gender is mostly into bitcoin
284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Role of Bitcoin in Developing counties to accelerate Growth process on: November 12, 2020, 05:16:23 PM
It's hard to expect most people from developing countries to adopt bitcoin since there are other circumstances like the lack of awareness and knowledge about it. Also, is a situation where people are struggling financially, they often lack basic education such as reading and writing so it might be kinda hard for them to understand how bitcoin and crypto works, and this is why instead of getting opportunities, they end up getting scammed. But surely, bitcoin may help developing countries with opportunities with financial services that they can't have, and technological advancement. But not to the extent that bitcoin will help the majority of people to escape poverty.
285  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto is not for the weak on: November 12, 2020, 04:13:58 PM
It is not easy and it will never be easy to start, particularly in a matter that has a broad topic. It is okay to feel confused, you are just starting and you can’t expect to understand everything easily and quickly. As for scammers, they take advantage of one’s unawareness, so be vigilant. If a moment came and you end up losing, why give up? When you can improve yourself by making time to reflect on the action you made and learn from it. Don’t let be a hindrance for you to continue, instead, use it. It is okay to start with nothing, as knowledge and experience can be obtained along your journey. In addition, you don’t only need to be strong, you also need to be resourceful, critical, and judicious.
286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling = just for fun or an investment method? on: November 12, 2020, 10:14:44 AM
The similarity between gambling and investing is that you need to be ready for the risk and the possibility that you may lose the money you put in gambling or investment. Although they have similarities like this, I don't see gambling as a great investment method. For me, gambling is for entertainment and at the same time with a little hope of winning, but it's not something you can rely on when you want to generate huge income since it's still different from investment.
287  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to earn If im beginner on: November 12, 2020, 08:17:07 AM
The courage to nag when you can’t even explore and develop your own strategy to earn. A simple search will help you, instead of assuming that people will easily offer opportunities, try to be resourceful and strategic. As you mentioned, you don’t have any skills to used and make money. Why don’t you use your knowledge to look for alternative ways? Regardless, I will suggest reading this to have an idea of the possible ways to earn in the forum.

288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A Post-COVID World Powered By Blockchain Technology on: November 11, 2020, 05:13:42 PM
It's somehow noticeable how people are now trying to adopt more on technology in their daily lives because of the pandemic like more people are now getting into digital transactions. However, I can't say that the adoption phase of blockchain technology after this covid and pandemic issue will be that fast since the majority are still into physical cash. It's still too early to say that we will get that blockchain mass adoption. Even countries who are planning to initiate cbdc will still take time so it's the same with blockchain and crypto.
289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How long until we can bet with bitcoin in real life casinos? on: November 11, 2020, 03:31:22 PM
We will probably see more physical casinos accepting bitcoin in the near future. Bitcoin is still in the phase of getting more recognition, and some businesses are already starting to accept bitcoin so some casinos will probably accept it as well. Casino operators also need to consider if there's a lot of demand and they should also know or understand how the market works so they can't just accept it immediately, it takes some time.
290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TOP 10 LUCKIEST LOTTERY WINNERS on: November 11, 2020, 02:42:27 PM
It's so hard to even win once in a lottery but then, to be able to win more than once is truly lucky. I always say that winning a jackpot in the lottery is like a blue moon, but some of these people just have a short span of an interval between their first winning and the next one. But no matter if how many times you win in the lottery if you don't know how to allocate and spend your money wisely, you won't be successful. Good for them that they know how to spend it and that their luck is with them.
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New projects can still deliver on: November 11, 2020, 12:50:41 PM
Of course new projects are still very promising but it's getting too hard to find the rare gems among the bad projects, it's like looking for a needle in the ocean, sometimes even promising projects failed, the best advice is always use diversification on so called promising projects and invest only what you can afford to lose, thanks for the nice post OP
Precisely, you will rarely identify a high-potential profit project that has a use case. Usually, recently developed projects end up as fake and scam. Also, we can’t make any certain assumptions about the market, so we can’t conclude the future of a project. Thus, it requires a thorough evaluation to understand the risk. Diversification is a good technique, especially in an unpredictable market, it reduces the risk and it offers more opportunities. Regardless, Polkadot seems to handle it well, as it maintains to be in the top 10. It has a lot of potential for a new project because it was able to keep up with old projects.
292  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tips to overcome fear crypto investment and reason to invest for newbies on: November 11, 2020, 10:46:36 AM
Likely, when the market is bullish, a lot of newbies will also become interested in all of the sudden to invest. All they ask is "how to make money in buying bitcoin".
But they don't want to study the basics of it. That's what they lack when they started to invest and sees the dramatic fall of bitcoin suddenly. They don't give emphasis to the research which is the most important thing to do as a newbie to understand the concept of bitcoin, crypto and investing.
It is the issue, they are fascinated with the substantial profit that the bullish market offers, but they don’t examine the elevated risk associated. They have no interest in learning the fundamental idea of investing, so they often end up losing. All they do is monitor market conditions, but they don’t have any idea how it works and the factors that affect it. They don't see the importance of doing research and the extent to which it can help them invest.
293  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Nico David "bitaccelerate" SCAM review on: November 10, 2020, 06:17:21 PM

This user also posted on our local board with the same content about bitaccelerate.

Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5288239.0

IMO it's possible the account are sold or changed hands since there's long gap posting between October 25, 2018, 07:47:30 AM and Today at 03:33:45 PM [1]
I agree with you with that possibility since I also checked the profile of the users and there is a sudden promotion of bitaccelerate.
295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC on gambling casinos on: November 10, 2020, 04:50:44 PM
If you are doubting, then why would you give your information to an unlicensed casino? I think it's simple as that since you also doubt the safety of your information. So just like what others said, it's better to avoid those kinds of casinos and there are lots of casinos that don't ask for KYC, so if you don't like this kind of requirement especially for unlicensed casinos, look for other casinos.
296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers forced into unpaid leave on: November 10, 2020, 03:22:34 PM
It's kinda understandable why they are forced to take unpaid leave since businesses in this industry are widely affected by the pandemic. Like us, businesses also need to survive. A lot of industries were affected so it's also happening in other sectors, some even lost their jobs. I think most gamblers are still afraid to go outside and the authorities still won't allow crowded places so it's also hard for the business's part. But since it's mentioned that their revenue already increased, I hope workers will now also receive enough pay.
297  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: My Plan if ever happens again ATH on: November 10, 2020, 02:31:56 PM
298  Economy / Economics / Re: Hoping that its the end of corona virus on: November 10, 2020, 10:01:06 AM
Well, the government is one who has a crucial role in this kind of situation because if they are competent enough, they will find a way to slow down the spread of the virus just like what other countries have done. I know there are corrupt officials but we can't blame everyone and everything on them because this virus just suddenly spread across the world.

Your question if it's possible to eliminate the virus without drugs, do you mean the vaccine? Because as we can see, people also recovered even without the vaccine, they just need to rest and intake some vitamins to strengthen their immune system. But I think, to fully eliminate this virus, we still need a vaccine.

300  Economy / Economics / Re: Effective Covid-19 vaccine found on: November 09, 2020, 04:09:12 PM
I have already heard numerous news saying that there is already a vaccine being tested for the past few months since this pandemic started, and this doesn't excite me anymore. Yes, I'm hopeful that sooner, there will be a vaccine so that everything will go back to normal and we go outside without having a fear of being infected, but it seems like people are just getting used to living with this virus that some are not even afraid anymore. But an effect on bitcoin, I don't think there will be significant or huge differences at all even after the completion of the vaccine.
