1381  Economy / Economics / Re: Having a problem a Personal Finance? on: August 25, 2023, 09:48:43 PM
Practicing what you're thinking to do and the advice you get is the best thing to do so that you'll become better at handling your personal finance. I see high earning people but don't know how to manage their finances and they got almost nothing left even if they're earning a lot.
The lesson there is it's not about how much you earn but how much you save. And the next thing is to manage the savings that you're able to make and put it into assets that could earn you passively or appreciate over the period of time.
1382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: August 25, 2023, 08:45:48 PM
While on the other match, Canada and France was a surprising game. The crowd favorite France lost to Canada.
95-65!
That's a lot of lead for Canada and I am one of those folks who have been thinking that France will be the desired team on this FIBA world cup. But it seems that this WC is full of surprises everywhere and for every team that we're thinking that's going to do well.
That is a blown out game, but with France as the opponent it was that shocking because their roster has only one non-NBA player (past and present) though it shouldn't be a basis that they'll dominate.
I cannot imagine what if there's Murray on that roster then probably there's a rain of threes there. They're a crowd favorite and there's a basis for it but yeah, it shouldn't be just because many are favoring them as a team. But this FIBA world cup is giving the excitement vibes because it's more of a showdown and pride war than of the actual tournament itself.

Canada win by 30 points - probably nobody didn't saw this coming. I made mistake by understimating Canada, seems that this year they really have team which can achieve something and this win is serious statement.
Same thing, that's why I was surprised that Canada has won and thought that they won't have a huge lead against France. But it is what it is.

~snip~
He truly is a destructive power in the center which makes him even more dangerous, and he can be a menace at times too. It's just unfortunate that he cannot play that much in the league in the past few seasons that he's been in because of the injuries that he acquired that seems not going away from him. And to make things worse, he keeps on getting a season threatening injury when the season is approaching its end, meaning the team badly needs him during those times but he cannot do anything but to see in the sidelines cheering for his team.
Yeah, it's his injuries that stops him from keeping on. That's why when he was healthy and said to be back in the ball game, many have become excited to see him back again in action. I guess it's embodied to him but hopefully, he'll make some things to work so that he can prolong every season that he's going to play and his team will come out of something that will help him able to get on his shape and maintain that for the rest of the season. But if he becomes injured again and won't be able to play, that will not be anything surprising anymore.
1385  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ledger, safe or not? on: August 24, 2023, 09:42:14 PM
This is right, if you own the old Ledger Nano S version, it's not part of that recovery feature. As for the choice, I guess that on these times the favor goes to Trezor.

I have the same version so I would prefer this kind of model than those that supports recovery feature. But to be honest, I really do not like the decision of Ledger to include the recovery feature for the updated versions.

It clearly not defining them anymore as a true cold hardware wallet. I don’t have any plans to buy future versions of Ledger Nano like the X or so because of the controversial recovery feature.
The old version still works perfectly and good thing that it isn't supported by the recovery feature. But for those that are thinking that they should buy a new hardware wallet, you're free to do it as that feature they've added really sucks and is against the community's liking.
Before this feature came out, I had plans to buy the X version because of its feature that allows you to view your portfolio on mobile, I haven't tried yet with S version. But when they've released the recovery part, that's where I have removed that plan.
1386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 24, 2023, 10:44:04 AM
^ I have my doubts that Zion will ever be able to play a full 82 game season. He’s just too big to be a professional basketball player. The speed and strength of this guy almost ensures an injury. Healthy, he’s the most dominant player the NBA has seen since Shaq, and more athletic than a young LeBron.
Well, we might truly see a repetition of what has happened to him for several seasons having an injury. But boy, I've seen the recent photos of him and he's got more buff. I guess it's time for him to invest in how to maintain his body but not compromise his performance just as Lebron takes care of his body.

If they did figure out how to keep him healthy for the rest of his career, he would no doubt be one of the best to ever do it.
This is without any doubt. We do recognize how good and full package he is.
1387  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: August 23, 2023, 11:40:53 PM
Wow, I didn't know that you're able to wager that much. While it's true that there could be other forum members that are in VIP and wouldn't tell anyone about that. Anyway, I hope that you come back again whether there will be a big event or none.

Not to be surprised, other users could do it in 24 hours while I did it in a year or more so that's normal. Man, I don't have the budget to play in multiple casinos so for now I'm prioritizing the casino in my signature unless a casino catches my eye maybe I'll consider it  Grin  Currently there are more casinos on this forum meaning that the competition is very fierce so casinos must offer something to keep its players otherwise, they will move from one casino to another until they find one they are comfortable with.
It's true that there are gamblers who have been moving from one to another if they have found something better. And that's why keeping them is a duty that they do everyday like running promotions that are interesting. Still, who knows if you'll be back soon and duelbits would definitely be happy to have you back.  Smiley

That's why the free VPNs are free because you are the product. Unlike the ones that are paid, you really are paying for the service.
When you are using the free one you are just having some kind of assumptions that your IP is bumping but in reality it's just a waste of time and I think we are dragging this too much and we should focus more on duelbits 3.0 new designs and more promotions from them.
Right, when's the time table for 3.0's? I hope to see it soon.
1388  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ledger, safe or not? on: August 23, 2023, 07:11:15 PM
The recovery service that they've got is applicable to the newer versions of their hardware wallet.

Avoid if you are just about buying a new hardware wallet. As for safe, if you were already using Ledger before they announced the Ledger recovery service, you might just continue using it as you have been doing so, but of course without 'subscribing' to the new Ledger recovery service, but whenever you decide to get a new hardware wallet, you should ditch Ledger for a different brand; because there is then no reason to continue using it.
This is right, if you own the old Ledger Nano S version, it's not part of that recovery feature. As for the choice, I guess that on these times the favor goes to Trezor.
1389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on How to Stay Safe and Avoid Scams When Gambling Online on: August 23, 2023, 05:22:42 PM
It is true that some organizations, casinos where you sign up, or websites where you're filling up forms can really sell our info to third parties. We don't have a way to stop them but we can have a method on how to avoid them and that's through gambling only with reputable casinos.
There have been newbies that are coming from nowhere sharing their experiences that they've been scammed or tricked by the casino which they've deposited their money. And when you ask them what's the domain, they're giving random casinos that have been never heard. That's why it's best to just gamble on reputable ones like Duelbits.
1390  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: August 22, 2023, 05:07:50 PM
You are right, using a paid for, and dedicated IP are much better than the free ones, and much more even better, if you use the same beginning from the registration process and continue to use it all along, the casino might or may never really know that you are using a VPN.
That's why the free VPNs are free because you are the product. Unlike the ones that are paid, you really are paying for the service.

Previously I was a participant in the Duelbits signature campaign and take part in some regular competitions so I became one of the active players here and reached the VIP level that's why my wager is almost $200k here, actually there are still a lot of forum users playing on Duelbits it's just like you said they don't care about the VIP level and didn't post it. Right now I haven't been very active playing here because I haven't seen any interesting promotions like before, but maybe there will be a big event at the end of the year..
Wow, I didn't know that you're able to wager that much. While it's true that there could be other forum members that are in VIP and wouldn't tell anyone about that. Anyway, I hope that you come back again whether there will be a big event or none.

Four pages of this welcoming thread and OP has never been back nearly a month since he posted. I think that this thread has already served its purpose and if he ever comes back, he's got a lot of info and help from everyone who has already posted on this thread. A mod might have to lock this topic soon.
1392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: finally achieved $1,000,000 goal (kind of) on: August 22, 2023, 12:35:58 PM
I knew I would reach my goal eventually, but I have a confession to make. Since this $1,000,000 win, I have given $250,000 back…
First congratulations for reaching that milestone, not everyone is lucky to rich that amount in gambling. And if you've given back that quarter back to somewhere you think is helpful then just be it.

currently deciding whether I want to do one last $250,000 bet to get back to $1,000,000.[/b]
If I were in your shoe, it is not a question anymore and I'll just take whatever it is and will be having my self-reflection if I really need to. Because my mind tells me that I should be well and done and be contented with that.
1393  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What could be the problem here? on: August 22, 2023, 10:40:21 AM
What do we think could be the cause for a trader that has been experiencing a win and lose repetitive occurrences in his trades.
There's no cause with that, it's a normal occurrence in trading.

Like he places a trade today he makes profit and the next day when he places another trade he would lose it, whereas the next day he then makes another profit and lose it the next. And this happen been repeating for more than a month.
It's because there's no other method or process with trading, we've got to do the same thing again and again. That's a cycle so, the results are also lying between the two.

Has anyone had such experience? If yes! Then how was or could it be solved or stopped?
The situation is getting psychological.
We all do experience that and there's no way to solve or stop it because those are the typical results we're getting when we trade unless you stop or you want to loss all of it.

Azure Ray is on TI 2023! This team is looking deadly on map rotation and I can't wait to see more from them on TI as I can already see a deep tournament for them.
I just saw how they've dominated Xtreme Gaming. So for China, we've got the actual PSG.LGD team and the 3 former PSG.LGD players +2 = Azure Ray. And I can say that the MVP in all of their games is Fy. He did really well and he gave color on how to play with clockwerk in the last map that they've got. I'm giving props to JT-, he's such a good player and did really a lot of good RPs at most of the last map but that's still enough. I thought that it can do well with void + magnus but not enough. Congratulations to Azure Ray!

Next one is B8 vs Dogchamp and I have a feeling B8 and Dendi will make something great happened and make their way up to TI. I would be happy to see him at a TI after such a long period but with the current team , I doubt B8 can do great things in tournament.  Sad
I am waiting for this match, as of typing this, there's less than 30 minutes before the match proceeds. Most fans are cheering for him to be seen back in TI again as a player, not as a caster.
1395  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Crash may take bitcoin to 1M dollar on: August 21, 2023, 10:46:13 AM
Bitcoin is not depend on any country so maybe more people should do the same thing like turkish people who adopt btc although their national currency in in extreme inflation.
Do not worry about that, the time will come when everyone is going to adopt the way how the Turkish people adopt it and the same goes for the companies that are based there. It's just so applicable and good for those countries with high inflation because that's how they can keep up with it, through the use of Bitcoin as payment and not just as a store of value.

I think if mr kiyosaki predicted that btc can reach 1m then maybe I will believe it.
It's just a prediction and everyone can say that. But just as him, I am also believing that it will happen whether he predicted it or not.

OMG, what a huge odd for the match of Team Aster and Team Bright and those that have a bet with Team Bright which has the huge odd. You've won guys. And one sad thing is that we're not going to see Sumail again in this upcoming The International. How many TIs we've missed seeing him? Team Bright upset them and they're now eliminated. The NA and CN qualifiers are about to end by tomorrow and after that we're going to see the action in the other regions.

That was an upset, I did not expect that Aster will end their year this way. They have been performing quite well in previous tournaments. And now they are eliminated by an unknown team. Congratulations to those who bet for Team Bright if there were any. Aster was so a heavy favorite. I think the odds for Aster were just 1.01.
They're expected to be at least the flag bearer for this qualifier but not this time. I do remember those tournaments where when they took Sumail on their wings for this actually. But that's it, they've been beaten by Team Bright, and those folks that have bet on them surely made a lot of money with the odds that are really high on this match. I thought that they were going to go easy with Team Bright but was really a shock when they were the ones that have fallen apart against TB.
1397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling by financial dependents. on: August 20, 2023, 05:18:18 PM
but his mother is insisting that he must stop. What will be your advice for this young boy?
This is easy, the advice should be for the mother that limits the budget of the boy so that he doesn't have much to gamble. Just go to the roots of why this boy can gamble, so if there's not that much money then that only means that he's got a limited move and can't deposit much.
That will serve as a forced lesson to the boy and I think that he'll learn that when he starts to feel that the budget was lessened. Although a possible rebelling action and recoil could happen but expect the positive side and effect.
thats good solution since the problem here is the fact that he is not getting the money himself through working but instead its his mother that working hard so his mother simply reserves all the rights on what to do and what to allocates her money for.
I think it could also give a way to teach him a lesson like you said and even motivates him to earn some money through real hard work so that he can use it all he wants.
the problem here is that if he is spending more and more money his family economy would eventually collapse and this will lead to poverty.
That will humble and teach him a big lesson that he should spend his money wisely and this will also stop him from gambling. But if he gambles again then another punishment that shall be made if don't learn the lesson. This is more of parenting issue anymore and that's why the mother should be more strict and go hard on his kid before that kid develops a habit of spending not his own money on gambling. Because when he grows up, worse thing could happen if he's not going to be corrected while he can still be.

So I am no longer reading those blogs or social media that is promoting this this fear that will make me dump my small holding and abandon my dream. My focus is to own one Bitcoin.
Good decision. Because if you're going to read those news, posts, tweets, and articles that only deliver negativity to you. That is for sure that you'll be affected by those and nothing good is going to bring that to you. Much better to cut your ties with those and let the news pass over and over again because no matter how they are, the time is going to change it and it will become positive soon. It is the secret in surviving this market and that's all you need to know while being focused on your goal on owning 1 Bitcoin soon.

B8 almost did it last night against WC but if someone saw the 2nd map , Dendi was on fire! He had 7-0 at some point , did solo kill on mid like on good old times and basically had a perfect game for the rest of the map. Unfortunately , 3rd map was a disaster for them as even if they picked WD ( who has an incredible winning rate in this new patch ) , they couldn't pull out a magical one and win as in my opinion , WD is still that hero who falls flat after mid game is over. Cheesy
I have followed that game, that was a good experiment for them with a Witch Doctor mid but you're right that it's hard to get on when the late game has come. Anyway, B8 won in the lower bracket against Titled Boys and they're going to face Sandking Gomez, an unknown team within the next few hours.
Going on the Chinese region, Xtreme Gaming won against Team Aster and they're going to face Azure Ray at the top bracket. XG did really well on the last map, credits to XinQ's ES and JT's mars.
