1481  Economy / Economics / Re: BEEN IN THIS GAME FOR 6 YEARS on: November 20, 2019, 03:46:52 PM

History will keep repeating itself and I guess Bitcoin cycle will keep on going, the price will be more than its ATH by the next years.
This is the last halving and I guess those miners will just earn thru the transactions they process and they will not sell their coins for less on exchanges.

We are moving towards an era of digital currencies and bitcoin will dominate all assets.

That's probably what's going to happen. But we forget that Bitcoin shouldn't be an asset, tho it's inevitable now. Bitcoin should just function like Fiat Money. Their main difference should only be Decentralization. As that's what Bitcoin should be solving from Fiat Money (centralized currency). But instead, it became more of an investment, an "asset" just like stocks and real estates and whatnot

And there is a good, sound reason for that

If you are unfamiliar with Gresham's law, you should be by now. In terms of this famous law, Bitcoin is good money being driven out of circulation by bad money, which is fiat in the context of this law. To put it differently, Bitcoin can only crowd out fiat or compete with it if it becomes worse than fiat but in that very case it is unlikely anyone will be using it either as an asset or as a currency. Isn't it a lovely paradox that we have discovered here?

It may not be used as money anymore since people are going to keep storing it one hardwallet or keep trading for profit. One reason could be there are more altcoins that would work like that besides BTC. Wallets also that isn't using LN will have some fractions of coins that may not be able to sent somewhere due to transaction fees as a result there will be more coins that will be stored on wallets that will be forgotten.
1482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a Developer To Take Over a Dead Project on: November 20, 2019, 02:26:30 PM
how will you wake up a dead project? This is a difficult thing, when you want to re-awaken a dead project, whereas the problem of the dead project is mostly because the token is not on target. when the token is launched into the market and the value is very low, it is also caused by a few demands, because the journey of the project is difficult to accept. I think it's hard, but I agree with your plan to save a dead project and turn it into a valuable token.

I am also happy to be able to discuss with you ......

This was common in the back in days when devs were anonymous and just stopped developing and disappeared. Someone from the community took over if someone knew how to code, mostly these projects pumped and dumped. These were highly profitable to insiders who knew that the project is getting life and bought the bottom in silence. That's what's happening in here, this is why op is not saying the name of the project.

Problem with these things is, it's really hard to find a good enough coder these days to work on pure speculation when the competition is what it is.

Its still common up to this day, there are still project that is abandoned by the team after adding it to the exchange. They just dump what they got and leave, people are complaining in their telegram group yet none will come up to say they're gone but will just say the team is busy.

The team who will take over this project will likely be better than just coding but spreading hype for it to work. Before accepting, you got to check the old ANN thread of the project to see if it can still be salvaged.

1483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All of you Bitcoin Hodlers are mentally ill - *Must Read! on: November 20, 2019, 02:00:49 PM

Op either lost all his money because he bought at ATH and sold while the price is $3k or just wanted to buy at $4500 this time if his fud works that it will drop that low. This sort of posts doesn't work anymore, it could have been working when the price was still less than a dollar. For a coin to have a price of more than a $5k, you gotta think what's into it. You may wanna read BTC's whitepaper again, if its still not clearer enough.
1484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think that governments might one day ban Cryptos? on: November 20, 2019, 01:28:35 PM
Bitcoin or let's say cryptocurrency is being viewed by the government as a threat for people's security and money. So me personally I'm not gonna be shocked if one day I saw some news about crypto ban in my country or even in a different country.
I also think the same way because I know that government is also powerful enough and they probably capable on doing it but I keep on reminding myself that as long as there are people who believe and supports crypto then it can be one of the reason why it will be difficult for them to do it. Governments have differences in their way of thinking maybe some of them can see the potentialities and capabilities of crypto and some are not, it will make you realize that is quite possible that their decision making can influence others or they just got influence that is why they end up on doing it too.

Its the only possible way they can control the cryptocurrencies and by banning it they can then monitor which the exchanges and the people like us who had been in crypto for years. The chances of them doing these again may be 50% this time though, its been regulated already where we can now see institutions claiming they have invested to BTC and there is also BAKKT. There are several government adopting BTC as well which maybe the rest will also join.
1485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Year 2020 expectations on: November 20, 2019, 12:49:45 PM
New upcoming projects are targeting 2020 either for good market season or because of the upcoming bitcoin halving, they want to avoid loses that is plaguing crypto space at all cost, even good projects of this year had hard time gathering needed fund and the lucky ones managed to reach softcap, what do you think about year 2020? will it be a very good year for IEO and bounty hunters?

I hope that 2020 is different and better compared to the previous year. With the halving moment of bitcoin in 2020, I hope the price of bitcoin can rise above $ 10k. With the rising price of bitcoin, it is hoped that investor confidence will recover and affect altcoin
I'm expecting too much for 2020, since halving and many upcoming projects are soon to implement, however it was just my hope. If ever it didn't achieved that high. I will just keep waiting and just try to earn more thru trading. We can't deny the fact the that no experts or analysis can tell what 2020 prices can be.

If you have invested to the right coin, I guess you can expect a lot. I have reevaluate the coins I owned since 2016 and found out some of them were delisted to the exchanges where they use to have good volume. Some of the tokens were already are still alive, low volume but there were still people buying it. If they could just pass this bear market, they may be able to make it back once again.

Reevaluate the coins you have, even the ERC tokens that you haven't sold duri9ng the bull market.
1486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: new coin for everyone coming !! Join community now on: November 19, 2019, 04:14:49 PM
I think you should say the idea of the project instead of putting a long piece of code on your post, because I'm not a coder and can't understand the language. But I have a question why are you posting the code here? You know that private coins can easily be hacked by hackers if they are aware of your security system. Monero, Dash have been hacked in many cases and stolen millions of dollars. So to secure the future of your private coin, you should delete the code and tell us more about this coin's information.

Codes of the project are usually available for critical examination of anyone interested which is why developers are asked to share the github links. Project has to be opensource that anyone can edit and own it for themselves.

I am however curious why he share it here while saying nothing how to acquire the said coins, if it has potentials which I believe he is confident in showing his code, I think I'd give it a try.

Is it CENTECHAIN?  No website yet?
1487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Final Hunt for the Real Satoshi Nakamoto - Hoffman Investigation on: November 19, 2019, 03:03:48 PM
one thing is more plausible
bitcoin moses being hoffman

Hi Franky1,

You think, I could be Hoffman; How about if I claim to be the real Satoshi ?  Dr. Hoffman could be a team of investigators, who are investigating the case of the Bitcoin invention and its elusive inventor Satoshi Nakamoto. Any one thought to be Satoshi or claimed to be Satoshi has turned to be wrong persons or impostors. If Dr. Hoffman is serious about his research and find the real man behind Bitcoin then he might be able to reveal the real Satoshi. What is wrong about his research ?

There is nothing wrong with his research, people around him may not even care what he is doing. But since he announced it here, he must be ask audience. The problem with claiming that he found satoshi is that anyone can claim he had found satoshi. There is no law that prohibits anyone from doing it but proving will be another story. And a simple sign message is just a step to do it. If this simple sign message can't be provided than this claim is all bullshit.
1488  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Technical Analysis for BTC Trading? on: November 19, 2019, 01:35:42 PM

If you are to trade for short terms, 3 month frame isn't the ones that you should look at. You are using yahoo finance, I'm surprise because you're the first I've seen using it. Try the https://www.tradingview.com and pick the daily chart and you'll see its already over sold. I'm just not sure when it will bounce but I'd probably assume 7300 would be a strong support.
1489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Final Hunt for the Real Satoshi Nakamoto - Hoffman Investigation on: November 19, 2019, 01:28:16 PM
Even if you reveal the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto I think many would sure not believe you without a plausible proof and even if let say that it is really 100% accurate I guess it will just go to waste because we are just adept that Satoshi Nakamoto is just a mystery but I am not saying that I don't want to know his true Identity it is just that we are OK with the fact that Satoshi doesn't want a life that has fear in his security and I think after so many years of hiding do you think risking it all by reveling himself will just end up him returning to his normal life? I think not.

I see it that way also. I don't think he would even admit he is satoshi nakamoto even if he is going to be cornered and proven to be him by someone. Believe it or not, if the guy really want to be publicly known, he would have withdraw just a bit of his BTC to enjoy what he had done for years. But he didn't because he might just reveal tiny piece of his information by doing it.
1490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FINALLY- we can now exchange coins between different blockchains on: November 18, 2019, 05:10:51 PM

So you are releasing another token for this Jelly.market, what about the weidex token you did release back then where you guys didn't distribute to the bounty participants yet?  You were operating with weidex for a long time already. I thought you took advantage of the participants and you might just took advantage again for this jelly.market when its not a very unique project at all.

We never released a weidex token neither we will have a jelly token. It is absolutely pointless to create more useless tokens - we had enough in the crypto space already. The swap will work just perfectly without a jelly token. We are putting all our effort into the Jelly project now. We start the bounty on Nov 20th and this time we will pay in DAI right after a participant makes a swap as it is described in the rules. You can try it yourself.

You mean to say those who promoted your weidex exchange wasted their time promoting it and you just give nothing to them while its now operating?
Don't you think that is a bit of a scam?  Believe it or not its going to hunt you project for the rest of its time including this jelly.market, you may not even see someone joining the campaign for this one. This jelly.market is nothing but a redundant project of someone else.
1491  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto Adoption Expanding Everywhere on: November 18, 2019, 04:28:38 PM
Yes it is. Crypto is currently booming in countries such as China, Turkey, Ukraine etc. a.ka wherever binance is adding fiat-crypto gateways. Interesting time ahead of us...

True. Binance recently added Turkey's Lira.

I'd be more interested to see BTC and ETH accepted locally like on grocery stores bot just to airlines because that's when we finally see adoption takes place in ground zero. Buying a soda with BTC or so.  The talks in the corners probably will involve some cryptocurrencies and bar fight reasons could be because of two guys arguing which coins is better.
1492  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitgoin is going to moon 1.5.2021 it will hit 236K on: November 18, 2019, 02:19:56 PM

These are all just speculations, although 11k might just be too much right now that there are just tons of people selling every now and then because they see the price is going to be pulled down by some fud sooner like google going to destroy BTC and all or whales going to set bulltrap.  People reading the charts are always going to look at BTC to go up and its just a matter of time, weekly chart says so. But I'd not be hoping to reach 11k-12k this year.
1493  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do people decide to create Cryptocurrencies? on: November 18, 2019, 01:47:20 PM
Some actually have a good idea which make sense but some are just there for money.
There were projects that were created that actually doesn't need blockchain but they did create one since there is profit to collect from it and that is just one reason why a team decide to create a coin. The Announcement threads they make contains how astonishing the amount of money flows in the industry like for example music industry collects about Millions of USD in a month to which they intend to grab even just 1/4 of it. Promoting the project on the social media sites where the wanna be investors and musicians are will help them get the money needed for the project.

1495  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Altcoins or Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2019, 08:08:00 PM

Unless you are a die hard fan of a coin, you are going to put all your eggs there in one basket but thats the most risky thing to do incrypto since altcoins are usually going to be dumped. If you haven't notice yet, most of the altcoins since the bear market being in the early 2018, their value is less -90%. I pay the price for being a hardcore fan and this is why I'm sticking to BTC most of the funds I have.
1496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ISO] IsotopeC - a peer to peer digital crypto asset - Live free and mine! on: November 17, 2019, 04:45:15 PM
Hello everyone!
We have made available the trading of your coin.
https://ex4ange.org/?ISO-BTC

There is a market. The only reason for now to invest to it is that is decentralized and no premine. Would like to know what else is the whitepaper. Roadmap probably and if there is more plans for it, no significant features actually, if there are sidechains, smartcontact of whatsoever, it would be interesting to see how much it would develop when we see something is to look forward to.
1497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Initial Model Offering(IMO) replace Initial Exchange Offering(IEO)? on: November 17, 2019, 02:23:33 PM

Why don't they just do the ICO with escrow after all this time cryptocurrency is now regulated. This time I think we can take turns too like investors are the ones going to ask for the KYC of these developers, I think its fair to see how much sure are these people that they are going to keep their words. We don't end this IMO, IEO anymore, lets just kick out the exchanges out in the equation. This IEO is jsut their way to ask money from developers and in a way stealing money from investors.
1498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why only 6.2 percent of American citizens own Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2019, 01:58:17 PM
In fact, 6.2 percent is not so small when you think about it.

Exactly. If only 1% of the world population owned some Bitcoin it would be worth 100 times more than it is now. Yes we'd be nearing a million dollars per coin for sure since there's less than 10 million BTC available for trade at exchanges. The rest is lost or held on cold wallets people aren't going to touch even if Bitcoin jumps by 1000% so all those billions of people will have to share 10 million bitcoins. Imagine the value, even when each of them decide to buy less than 1 mBTC. I wish we one day reach 6% in whole Europe.

6.2% is equivalent to 20 million bitcoin users in US. Thats a lot actually, add it all to the people in China who are using cryptocurrencies and to Russia and all the rest I think the world is already ready for cryptocurrency adoption. There are 6000 ATMs all over the world, if the coming bullrun ain't making anyone interested to see what exactly is Bitcoin and crypto I don't know what will.
1499  Economy / Economics / Re: Asset backed cryptocoins? on: November 17, 2019, 01:30:49 PM
Team of developers had tried gold back tokens in crypto but non of them works. This is believed to be centralized when there is physical attributes to a project, its just not possible to store physical materials on blockchain to make tokens valuable since it can all be stolen, burned or lost. If you have gold for instance with XAUR project, its just easy to take the word of the team that they have the gold with them stored somewhere.
1500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: could it be most project don't succeed? on: November 16, 2019, 04:19:56 PM
Verasity is just one but the number of failed attempts are way beyond.

This is an open platform of which projects will be posted at all times and there might be away bitcointalk can prevent people form posting  on the platform, but there are knowledgeable experts on this platform who are knowledgeable in the authenticity of the project and can tell the difference between a real project and scam project then warrn people accordingly to stay away from su h projects.  That's the viable way to reduce scam projects from geijg

thanks for your feedback,
you know it's obviously said that learning never ends, so we learn everyday from the leaders in the forum they also help us track down some projects just as you have said. carefulness matters a lot.

You can see several team members were tracked and users who tracked them open scam accusation threads for users to be aware of the scam possibilities. Often times these scam busters are correct with what they found out, when they see the images actually belongs to someone else and the name isn't correct, you can already sense its a scam.
